Theleste

Théleste was born the first and only child to a well respected elven King and Queen who rules over a prosperous and opulent homeland. Her parents were beloved and Théleste's birth was celebrated, she was born with a birthmark on her forehead in the shape of a crescent moon, as her people venerated the moon as a deity, her parents took this as a divine sign and began training her in druidry as soon as she could speak.

For hundreds of years Théleste lived a comfortable life of luxury, wandering the glistening white and lavender streets of her kingdom, until her father began to grow restless. He wanted the entire world to be as beautiful and perfect as his own kingdom and began dabbling in more powerful and much darker magic than the druidry his society was built on. He became heavily interested in elder Gods and demonology and this eroded his sanity considerably. He wanted to use his new power to convert every kingdom into part of his own or destroy them. His wife throughly objected to this and she as well as many of their subjects who supported her were killed. The King wanted to use Thélestes powers for his own gain, or kill her if she refused, but before he could a druid who had trained and tutored Théleste her whole life stole her away from her kingdom, sealing her in a dreamlike dimension for 7,000 years. As Théleste dreamed, her memories of her old life began to fade away, as her father and his supporters fell into ruin, their kingdom becoming a wasteland, their bodies and minds becoming twisted and warped.

The druid who saved Théleste eventually had to return her to the world, and she awoke, dazed, forgetful and haunted by fleeting nightmares of the life she once lived.
