FAR CRY 6 REVEAL TRAILER (2ND DRAFT)

FADE UP on GIANCARLO ESPOSITO lighting a cigar. He takes a few puffs.

GC (V/O)
What would you say is the most deadly creature in the animal kingdom?

CUT TO: Enemy outpost. Men in paramilitary uniforms with AK-47s are standing around a hastily-built military compound. Suddenly, gunfire rips through the air and the soldiers spring into action.

CUT TO: Our protagonist firing on the soldiers with an m16, and advancing on them.

GC (V/O) Consider...the lion. A king in his kingdom.

The lion is power and grace, brutality and elegance. The lion does not hide, does not fear. There are few who would not cower before a lion.

THE PROTAGONIST takes out one of the soldiers with a brutal cqc strike. As he falls, THE PROTAGONIST pulls the man’s pistol from its holster and fires, nailing two more with perfect headshots.

CUT BACK TO: GIANCARLO ESPOSITO standing solemnly with his cigar. The camera pans out and we see behind him several men tied up next to some crates, guarded by the soldiers dressed in the same uniforms as the ones in the outpost. They are pouring gasoline on the captives.

GC (V/O) Consider...The panther.

CUT TO: Another enemy outpost, this one at night. A bored-looking soldier is standing on duty, looking at his phone. We see a shape moving in the distance behind him.

GC (V/O): Not loud and boisterous like the lion at all. The panther is silent.

The shape comes into focus and we see it is THE PROTAGONIST. He grabs the soldier from behind and quickly snaps his neck, then moves out of frame.

CUT TO: wide shot of the outpost, several soldiers standing around loading a truck.

GC (V/O) It does not make its presence known to the prey…

Suddenly, the lights on the base all go out at once. The man ready their rifles.

GC (V/O) until it is too late.

From out of the darkness, we hear the snap-snap-snap of a silenced pistol, with soldiers dropping like flies.

CUT BACK TO: GIANCARLO ESPOSITO. He turns back to the soldiers and the captives and thoughtfully takes another puff of his cigar.

GC (V/O) Consider...The snake.

CUT TO: the outpost, as seen through a distance with binoculars.

GC(V/O) While the lion roars and the panther glides, the snake...is clever.

The binoculars float around the outpost, from guards to vehicles to mortar emplacements.

GC(V/O): It waits. It bides its time.

The binoculars settle on a pile of exploding barrels in the middle of the base. We cut to THE PROTAGONIST lowering the binoculars and picking up a rifle.

GC (V/O): What it lacks in raw power... the snake makes up for in sheer cunning.

THE PROTAGONIST fires, blowing up the barrels. The camera cuts to the outpost in flames, panicked soldiers running around.

CUT BACK TO: GIANCARLO ESPOSITO standing above the captives. He drops his lit cigar on them without a second thought. The fire begins to rapidly spread as the camera pans back up to his face. We hear screams.

GC(V/O): But of course, all of these powerful and noble creatures are nothing compared to the most dangerous animal in the jungle: Man.

He begins walking in slow motion away from the scene.

GC(V/O): For it is Man who combines the cunning, the stealth, and the power of all of these great beasts.

CUT TO: THE PROTAGONIST assaulting the outpost after the explosion. He ducks around corners, firing a pistol and throwing knives.

GC(V/O): It is man who uses weapons, gadgets and skills to engage their way.

THE PROTAGONIST hastily ties together a molotov and chucks it, setting a soldier ablaze.

MATCH CUT: from the soldier fire to the fire behind Giancarlo.

GC(V/O): Where lesser prey see a world fraught with danger, Man sees an epic challenge.

CUT TO: THE PROTAGONIST walking out of the outpost, leaving it a smoldering ruin.

CUT BACK TO: GIANCARLO ESPOSITO, with the camera panning around him.

GC(V/O):Man is the dominant creature on this earth. No creature on earth could stop a man with a goal.

The camera stops panning and rests behind Giancarlo’s shoulder. Stepping into view in the distance is THE PROTAGONIST.

GC(V/O): Except, of course...another man.
