- quiet/shy/unapproachable
    Hyelin's got a "silent but deadly" aura for sure, and her face seems to be permanently carved into a scowl. that's actually just how it naturally rests, however, without getting to know her, you'd never know that, so she's seen as pretty unnapproachable.
- perfectionist
    Perfection is what Hyelin strives to reach, no matter what it is. it started with her school work, then moved on to her job, and has started to reach herself. her current focus is to perfect herself, but she knows that she lacks in the social department, so when she joins the bad girls she's pretty awkward in the beginning, but truly tries her best to socialize normally with them and create bonds.

    As mentioned, she's truly trying to perfect herself, which can be a dangerous thought to have. Anytime something goes wrong (though, that is incredibly rare) it's always blamed on Hyelin:not because of others but because of herself. she vocalizes her thoughts of being the one to blame, and the members always reassure her, but it's hard for her to believe them. along with the feeling of failing as a leader, she feels as if there's a fault in herself as well.

   Hyelin is a strong leader due to her strong presence and drive. She's good at giving directions and very critical, but also has a soft spot for her members and tries to see everyone's situations and view points. She puts her members before herself, and prioritizes their safety over anything. They might not know it, but they mean more to her than she'd wish to admit.

   Not just of her opinions and views, but of her members as well. She naturally takes on a mother role, and defending things she loves or believes is something she's a champ at.

   Surprisingly, skinship is a very comfortable thing with Hyelin. she cares deeply for her members, and a lot of her affection is physical. she does typical boyfriend-like things, like putting her arms around them and wiping stuff off their mouths with her finger (which honestly flutters every members heart). She doesn't think of it as anything, but stuff like that, as well as her sayings like "take care!" or "wear a coat, it's cold outside." and "Eat before you leave. you know how you get!" really show the members how much she loves and cares. ironically, she doesn't feel like she does that enough, but the members feel loved and cared for 24/7 due to her.


• BACKGROUND: Parents were never a solid thing in her life. She lived in 3 different orphanages, each year getting worse for her. the older she got, the less she socialized and the less her hopes of getting adopted were. she had friends at her first 2 schools, but around age 12 when she moved to her 3rd one she decided against it. she focused on her studies, which really payed off and got her an offer at a preparatory school, full ride. She had stayed in 2 different orphanages in Daegu until that year, age 15, where she started going to a prep school in Daejeon. she once again made no friends and focused on studies. she stayed at an orphanage close by, but still had to take the bus to and back.
  important events from her past:
- at her 1st orphanage, age 8, she was adopted. She stayed with a married couple for 4 years, but the man never wanted her. He was mean to her a lot and caused her confidence to drop. At age 12 he hit her for the first time, and when the woman found out she put Hyelin back in foster care. She knew her husband wouldn't stop if she told him to, and she wanted Hyelin to be safe. She bought her a phone first though, and they stayed in contact for a while. She still checks up on her occasionally. This put Hyelin in her 3rd school and second orphanage
- nearly died on a senior year class trip going camping. she was trying to take photos and got too close to a cliff, barely saving herself. it caused her to be more cautious.
- sexually assaulted on a city bus at age 14 by an older man. she was lucky there was another male student on the bus who saved her, but it could have led to something a lot worse than what it already was. she cried a lot that day. made her more aware of her surroundings, and, for a while, scared of older men.
- got her first job at age 14, worked at a small café. not the worst place but not the best either. humbled her.
- kids at her 1st orphanage tried to take her stuffed cow, Butter, something she's had since birth. it means a lot to her, and was the first time she got that angry. she threw her first punch that day (age 7). it taught her hatred.

• HOW DID SHE BECOME A BAD GIRL: Renowned for her general bitchiness on campus, Hyelin can't help but get fed up sometimes. even though she does her absolute best to stay out of everyone's way and out of gossip, all eyes are always on her for one reason or another. she tries to not let it bother her, and normally it doesn't, but she was really the center of attention after standing up to a rude professor one day. His endless malicious comments towards women, queer people, people of color, and a number of other things were too much for her to handle, but it really made her mad when he blamed a rape victim one day. she got fed up and went off on him, which turned into a huge deal on campus and got a lot of publicity on the news, because he's been teaching there for a looong time and tried to get her scholarship taken away from her after it. he ended up getting fired and she got to stay. Sooyeon found her through all the news and decided she was perfect for a leader.

• LIFE DURING DAY: Hyelin has majority night classes, so she's pretty free during the day. this gives her an opportunity the younger members might not have to get information. before joining bad girls, daytime was spent just catching up on whatever college work she had or watching tv and resting at home, but now she spends as much of it as she can working on bad girls missions.

• LIFE DURING NIGHT: Hyelin has quite a few night classes, but theres some time between them where she tries to communicate with the girls if they're doing a mission. she doesnt mind skipping class because she's easily able to catch up anyways. she never really goes and does stuff (like partying and clubbing), but maybe the bad girls start to drag her out every once and a while?

• WHAT ARE HER SKILLS THAT CAN HELP IN THE MISSION?
besides the obvious of being a strong leader, Hyelin is really smart. she got into college on an academics scholarship, and is always the one to save the girls when they're in a tricky situation. she (and WENDY) decides where and when they'll be somewhere, what to do in every type of situation, and leads them through whatever they do. she's able to think of things the other members wouldn't have even considered, though WENDY does as well. she's also really good at being quiet, which also comes in handy a lot. She can read people and situations well (perks of being a psychology major), so she's the first to know when something doesn't feel right. Her qualities might not sound very special, but she suits the leader role better than anyone, and cares a lot about her members, as well as what they're doing.

• HOW DOES SHE MEET HER LI?
 Soonyoung sees them as they are spying on someone during a mission. he tries to play it off and just leave and pretend he didn't see anything, but he ends up knocking something over, which definitely alerts his presence. as leader, Hyelin is the one to take him out and threaten the already scared Soonyoung. she gets soonyoung's contact info just in case he ever tells anyone, so she knows where and how to find him.

• DOES HE KNOW THAT SHE'S A BAD GIRL? IF YES, HOW?
  while at first he doesn't know and is just scared of her, when he is told she's a bad girl, it definitely lessens the fear. if anything, it makes him like her more, and definitely more comfortable with her.

• RELATIONSHIP STATUS

BEGINNING: kind of awkward friends, hes pretty scared of her in the beginning.
MIDDLE: They get a lot closer after interacting a lot, and she definitely likes him a lot more than most people.
END: they're really close, and start dating, albeit it being a bit awkward at first.

• SOME MOMENTS: (I'm also gonna make this like relationship trivia)
- Soonyoung is honestly a huge source of encouragement for her. he's the happiest person she's ever been around, and has the same passion and drive for whatever hes doing that she does.
- Hyelin normally finds it hard to be around people, but everything with Soonyoung comes naturally to her because he's just so... bright

- they first actually talk (besides when she first spoke to him via threats) at a diner, where Hyelin is sitting with a blank expression eating her French fries and half finished burger before going to her first class of the night
- Soonyoung notices she's lonely and figures it would be a good idea to be on her good side, so, naturally, he sits down in front of her and proceeds to just stare at her instead of actually talking. like any sane person.
- Hyelin is thouroghly creeped out, seeing as she honestly doesn't remember him
- a confused and sassy "hello?" is her first normal word to him
- it progresses from there
- honestly, they have a really similar schedule, how have they never noticed each other?
- Sure, he might have heard her name, but he never realised how much he sees her on campus
- they run into each other a lot, and Soonyoung always initiates convos with her
- their first kiss is due to Hyelin having to hide from someone she sees while out in public together, and her first solution to hiding her face is just turning around and nervously pressing her lips to his. he was pretty shocked to say the least. it worked though!
- honestly, before dating, they're basically best friends. she laughs a lot around him, and he's over at her small apartment a lot to watch movies and hang out with her.

- IRENE
- SEULGI : though she does feel inferior to her a lot, she really admires her. SEULGI is good at what she does, and she helps a lot. Hyelin always feels the need to praise her. At the same time, Hyelin is often scolding her. She's always the one to take away her alcohol, stop her from spending too much money, and keep her from doing something regrettable. maybe thats part of why Seulgi admires her; she's got a lot more control
- WENDY : Her relationship with WENDY is pretty strained most of the time. They're both good at putting away differences during work hours, but they're just complete opposites. Take the fact that Wendy is pretty much ruthless and doesnt think of other's feelings, combined with her constant defiance of Hyelin, and you get an incredibly salty Hyelin. In her eyes, If she is the angel on SEULGI's shoulder, WENDY is the devil. They have very different views on things. Hyelin also feels pretty inferior to WENDY, and WENDY's  not one to shy away from praising herself, so that doesn't help. Hyelin is so used to always being the smartest person in the room, but WENDY makes her doubt that about herself a lot. However, they also make a very strong team, and when it comes to working together, they do it best. sometimes WENDY might open up to her, and Hyelin probably understands WENDY the most, so she still does have a place in her heart for her.
- JOY : JOY is very near and dear to her heart. Hyelin didn't have family growing up, and she knows what its like to not have many care for you, especially in the family unit. She babies her and gives her plenty of attention, both because she truly likes her and because she feels like she has to.
- YERI : While she does like JOY, and does give her attention (because she begs for it), Hyelin is even softer for YERI. Her fear of family is so incredibly relatable to Hyelin that it hurts. Unlike JOY, YERI doesnt have to beg for attention to get it from Hyelin (she still does though). She was the one to suggest YERI live with JOY, and it makes her happiest to see the two of them get along. They feel like her children, and she wants the absolute best for them at all times.
- THE BAD LADY : she's very thankful for her, she loves all of the girls a lot and is really glad Sooyeon brought them all together. She respects her a lot too, and wants her approval and praise the same way YERI and JOY want her own.
