Bananigans

Senior year of high school me, one of my older brothers, and my two younger sisters are at A-Kon in Dallas, TX. Funny enough, this convention was kind of like a family tradition at one point each summer.

So we're at the con, and the hotel is connected to a mall via skybridge, and the Brawl tournament was over in one of the suites in the mall. I was on break and we all go downstairs to eat. This mall also has hotel suits on the upper floors (some of the larger malls in TX do), and there were elevators with open glass backs to ride between floors.

My older brother points at one of the elevators, and there is a man, dressed in a banana suit, dancing in the elevator. It was hilarious! People would get on the elevator to go to their room and - BAM - DANCING BANANA!!! We were watching, and cheering Senior Banana on for a while... even people at tables around us started watching. But Senior Banana's time was limited...

Another man, presumably security, in suit with radio in hand was waiting on the 4th floor. He was waiting to end the party. Waiting to end Senior Banana.

Senior Banana was enjoying life - his final minutes - riding down from the 10th floor. Dancing a merry jig. 7th floor. The elevator is stopped by others wanted to go down. 6th floor. Senior Banana is air humping the window. 5th floor. His time was nigh! Me and my siblings were shouting that the security man was on the prowl the devour Senior Banana and offer his remains for the next Mario Kart.

4th floor. The elevator doors slide open, Senior Banana is motioned to leave the elevator. We watch in despair as Senior Banana was removed from the premises never to be seen again that weekend...
