  1. Name: Field-Marshal Lintorn “Aldershot” Duerus
  2.
  3. Age: 39
  4.
  5. Species: Crystalite
  6.
  7. Aligned Faction: Alogate Guard
  8.
  9. Appearance: Lintorn is a big, powerful man. He is impressively tall, standing at around 6’4, with broad shoulders and a decently muscular build- though because of the bulky clothing he usually wears, this is usually not visible. As a Crystalite, his skin is a deep red, with slicked-back, yet unusually short, black hair with sideburns and a bushy, chevron-type moustache.
  10.
  11. When not wearing his dark brown officer’s cap, he often wears a black, Kabuto-style helmet with a blade on its left and right side pointing upwards at the top and a crescent-shaped crest at its forehead. When not in battle, he is likely to simply wear his Alogatian officer’s uniform, which is a dark brown officer’s jacket with a collar and red tie, completed with brown trousers and black boots- he will often wear much of his vast collection of medals with this.
  12.
  13. Otherwise, in battle, he will wear his Kabuto-style helmet with a grey, thin, sleeveless coat over a great deal of protective, cuirass-like body armour, coloured in field-grey camouflage with a lamellar-like appearance. He will wear forearm guards complete with black gloves, along with black boots. The reason for this unusual appearance, in contrast to ordinary soldier uniform, is because of Lintorn’s incredible powers and tendency to sometimes fight on the frontline- as a force of intimidation to the enemy, and for boosting the morale of his troops.
  14.
  15. Powers: Lintorn has mastered the art of a Crystalite’s powers- having mastered it to such a degree himself, he implements their powers within his battle-plans on occasion, too. He can harden his skin for incredible defence, and harden his skin to deliver crushing blows. Additionally, he is a master military strategist- though he specialises in ground military maneuvers, particularly infantry.
  16.
  17. Weapons: An officer-issued Alogatian selective-fire battle rifle, and a tachi-type sword- though this is often just for show, it can be used effectively as a weapon.
  18.
  19. Personality: Lintorn is a patriotic man- truly believing that whatever is best for Alogate must come first, and that what is best for Alogate is best for all. As such, he is a strong believer in a very powerful military, plus order and efficiency at any cost. He is usually against sparking foreign conflicts, however- preferring to use the military as a strong deterrent, and even stronger self-defence method.
  20.
  21. He has a huge amount of disdain for religious followings, including Celerians, as not only does he find them generally foolish, but they put their religion and religious figures before their nation- something which Lintorn finds incredibly distasteful. Instead, he is a strong advocate for innovation and science- though this usually means military research and increased military spending.
  22.
  23. Lintorn is serious, mellow person who is, with good reason, proud of his skills as a soldier and commander his and martial prowess. He is ambitious and places honour in great esteem. Though he is currently obligated to serve the leader of the Alogate Guard, he frequently disagrees with them- he believes more extreme methods should be taken to elevate the power and influence of the military. He is very popular within the armed forces, and has made many powerful connections.
  24.
  25. Backstory: Lintorn was destined for the military. He came from an unfortunately rough household in a tightly-packed, urban area of Alogate, and as such, was exposed to the worst that lawlessness and disorder could bring. Crime was rife in his area- though as Alogate quickly modernised, and though his hometown was quickly brought back to order by the increasingly authoritarian government, he would always remember the danger he constantly lived in. Seeing the armed forces bring order to his area brought joy to him, and brewed patriotism and pride for Alogate as a nation.
  26.
  27. He began his mandatory military service when he became of age, and quickly showed his prowess. In leadership, fitness, combat training- he performed exceptionally well- his abilities catching the eye of his superiors. When his mandatory service came to an end, his superiors made him an offer- he could be honourably discharged, or he could attend a prestigious military academy, paid for directly by them. He chose to study- after graduating (with great results), he rapidly rose through the ranks of the military, eventually being directly promoted to Field Marshal; demonstrating his capability in the field during his time in volunteer forces serving in foreign conflicts, and in maintaining order on the streets of Alogate.
