  1. Terms and Policies
  2. Revised September 2018
  3. MultiCrew is a not-for-profit, community-driven, recreational flight simulation organisation. We specialise in shared cockpit services by providing: unofficial support, means to organise and coordinate shared cockpit and group flights, flight simulator training and online network “type ratings”, and more.
  4. MultiCrew is not a provider of real-world flight instruction or examinations and nothing which you find on our website should ever be used for the purposes of flying a real aircraft in the real world; doing so is both unsafe and unlawful.
  5. At MultiCrew, we have both a personal and legal obligation to protect our users’ privacy and ensure we are clear and transparent about what data we collect, how we use this data and how we keep it safe. Whilst the collection and storage of limited personal information is necessary, it is kept securely and to a minimum.
  6. Terms of Use
  7. By using the MultiCrew website, that is <a>https://multicrew.co.uk/</a>, and all of its subdomains, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Use and Privacy Policy listed below.
  8. Use license
  9. Permission is granted to download copies of the materials (information or software) on MultiCrew's website for personal, non-commercial viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license, you may not:
  10. modify or copy the materials;
  11. use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
  12. attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on MultiCrew's website;
  13. remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
  14. transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.
  15. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by MultiCrew at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.
  16. Additionally, the license shall automatically terminate when materials are attempted to be used or applied outside of a flight simulation environment. The materials contained on MultiCrew’s website are specifically designed for use with recreational flight simulation software, and any other use is both unsafe and unlawful.
  17. Disclaimer
  18. The materials on MultiCrew's website are provided on an 'as is' basis. MultiCrew makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
  19. Further, MultiCrew does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.
  20. Limitations
  21. In no event shall MultiCrew or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, injury, damages for loss of data or profit, or any business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on MultiCrew's website, even if MultiCrew or a MultiCrew authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.
  22. External links
  23. The MultiCrew website may contain links to external, unaffiliated websites and pages. As MultiCrew has no control over the content of these pages or sites, MultiCrew cannot guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness or safety of the content. However, MultiCrew will attempt to ensure that links are relevant and safe for its end-users.

  30. Email communications
  31. From time to time, we may contact registered users via email at the email address attributes to the user’s <a>MultiCrew Portal</a> profile. Emails will only be relevant to MultiCrew, flight simulation and/or MultiCrew’s partners, and should not be considered spam. However, should you not wish to receive any non-essential communication, please send an email to <a>admin@multicrew.co.uk</a> from the email address you wish to be removed from mailing lists. You will still receive emails regarding your account. Unregistered users will never receive any communication from MultiCrew, nor are email addresses obtainable my MultiCrew or any affiliated third-parties. Upon registration, users are asked to confirm their agreement to these terms and policies, which includes, but is not limited to, their consent to receive infrequent email communication as described above, unless otherwise requested.

  35. Code of Conduct
  36. Users must be respectful to all other users and, in particular, respect the staff members at MultiCrew.
  37. Upon registration for a MultiCrew Portal account, users must provide accurate and truthful information, including a real and verified email address.
  38. Users may only register one MultiCrew Portal account per person.
  39. Users should not use any of the MultiCrew social media or messaging services to offend, discriminate against or defame other users.
  40. Users should respect local and international laws at all times whilst using MultiCrew services.
  41. Users utilizing online networks in conjunction with MultiCrew services should respect the rules and regulations of both MultiCrew and the respective network simultaneously.
  42. Conflict Resolution
  43. As a community-based organisation, MultiCrew prides itself on maintaining a positive and constructive community base. However, not all users will respect that policy, and as such matters which we will refer to as "conflicts" may arise. The following policy outlines what we define as a "conflict", and how these situations are resolved.
  44. Conflicts
  45. Conflict exists in all over the world and, in its best form, can be an indicator of a positive exchange of ideas and opinions. However, particularly on the Internet, conflict often becomes counter-productive and can result in user dissatisfaction, poor services and, overall, a reduction in the quality of the community environment.
  46. At MultiCrew, we believe a "conflict" to be a breach any of the policies laid out on this page.
  47. Resolution
  48. Conflicts will always be resolved by the senior members of staff with an oversight of the organisation in its entirety, with a view to maintaining a positive community environment. Staff will utilise a number of tools to resolve conflicts, detailed below.
  49. Warnings
  50. The first method employed will be a warning. This will be communicated to the user by the most convenient method possible: either by email, Discord DM or other appropriate communication protocol. A warning will be used in the event of an accidental or non-malicious breach of terms. A warning will not have any direct implications; it is simply a reminder to the user that they may have breached the terms.
  51. Bans
  52. Following a repeated or severe breach of the terms, it may be necessary to ban a user from the MultiCrew community. Bans vary in length, from 1 day to indefinite. In the event of a ban, a user will no longer have access to web services or the Discord server.
  53. Disputes
  54. In the event of a ban being employed to resolve a conflict, users are permitted to dispute the ban provided that the duration of the ban is greater than 1 day.
  55. In order to dispute the ban, users will have to contact the community administrators and provide substantial evidence to support their dispute and prove that they have good reason to have their ban lifted.
  56. Disputes for bans of less than 1 day, or without substantial supporting evidence, will be ignored!
  57.
  58.
  59.
  60. Changes to our Terms and Policies
  61. From time to time, MultiCrew may make adjustments, add or remove to and from the Terms and Policies on this web page. This web page may also move location on the website, however, will always be clearly signposted and linked to in footers and other appropriate locations from within the User Interfaces and website. The alterations described above may happen at any time, however, registered users will <a>always</a> be informed at their given email address.
