  24. I just placed my first order today.
  25. We have a 3 year old Lab named Rooney that has been struggling with allergy issues for at least 2 years. At first, his allergies seemed to be seasonal, and they seemed to flair up the most after we cut our grass. I was really excited when we were heading into winter, welcoming the ground becoming frozen and buried in snow. Unfortunately, this winter he never found any relief! Numerous trips to the vets always result in the same thing.. shots and prescriptions of prednisone and antibiotics. I hate giving them to him.. the steroids make him crazy! Plus, with each set of shots and pills, I've noticed a huge decline in their effectiveness. Both Benedryl and the prescription allergy medication from the vets no longer give him relief. Our next step would be to go to the vets and demand blood work and allergy shots. What's most frustrating is that I know about all of the side effects, and the bad things that all of this medication can do to his general health, and I am so afraid to keep doing this and possibly causing him more complications down the line. With food we have worked our way up the 'food chain', now buying a food that is 70% protein (fish that is ethoxyquin free) 30% fruits, vegetables and botanicals and totally free of any grains. He gets probiotics every few days, too. My next consideration would be to start him on a raw diet.
  26. I have researched dog allergies on the web many times and I end up frustrated every single time. Everyone has conflicting opinions from all different angles; medication, diet, to homeopathic remedies.. All I want to do is find my poor, itchy dog some relief! It breaks our hearts that we are constantly yelling at him to stop scratching and chewing on himself. He is itchy and is just doing what comes natural for him and it's gotten to the point that he will even leave the room and sneak off to find a place that he can scratch and chew in peace. His belly, legs and face are always covered with bloody sores and he chews his toes and paw pads to pieces. He often walks with a limp because of the sores. After reading your story, and how you developed this product, I am very hopeful that DermaPaw will play some part in helping our Rooney (and I'm sure he will look quite spiffy in those cute little socks!)
  27. Hopefully the next time I'm writing, it will be to share the good news that your product is awesome!
  28. Thanks for reading my story,
  29. Donna Bertolo
