Secure your information

Based on what people have told me and what has happened to myself + others, it seems that there was an information dump somewhere. A huge dump including information from a ton of people. What was explained to me is that the information is being used to get into the accounts of those who have not changed their passwords/use the same passwords on multiple websites.

If you have had the same password for a long time, CHANGE IT. YOU ARE POTENTIALLY AT RISK
Add 2 step verification to EVERY website that you can. I can promise you that the annoyance of having to receive a text message is not nearly as annoying as losing all of your money / having your personal information leaked.
If you have some sort of donations set up in your Twitch, MAKE SURE THE APPLICATION REDIRECTS TO YOUR EMAIL

They changed my connected email in TwitchAlerts so the donations I received went to them.

It's better to be safe than sorry, take the time to secure your accounts and do not end up like me!
