< Unit Description >


The IG-100 Series, produced by Holowan Mechanics, were designed to serve as bodyguards to higher ranking CIS officials to serve as their personal security detail. They have been notably used by General Grievous, and as per his request, have been outfitted with the traditional attire of a Kaleesh Warrior.


The unit is highly resilient and formidable in combat. Standing at two meters tall, with a humanoid configuration, comprised of Durasteel and Duranium plating, they are able to withstand extreme levels of damage that would utterly destroy most, if not all droids. They possess heuristic processor chips, enabling them to learn through physically doing things. They are capable of superhuman acrobatic feats, an inexhaustible source stamina, achieve superhuman speeds and possess a highly advanced combat learning system. They are capable of a vast multitude of tasks, ranging from engaging in melee combat, to operating blasters and piloting starfighters. They also are able to function with the loss of a limb, including the head.

Equipment


IG-822 is outfitted with one Phrik Electrostaff. It is two kilograms in weight and approximately five foot in length. The Electrostaff is a versatile, and in the right hands, lethal weapon. It is able to administer electrical shocks via the bulbs located in either end of the staff, of which, the intensity can be altered by IG-822 as it sees fit. The Electrostaff is comprised of Phrik, and is highly resistant to lightsaber strikes. It is designed to counter the flurry of blows a Jedi may sustain. The Electrostaff, therefore, may also be utilised for torture.



During recent times, IG-822 has acquired one TL-50 Heavy Repeating Blaster rifle. It fires at around 750rpm, firing plasma. It's effective up to 300m. The Blaster has is capable of fifty shots before it has to cool down.

IG-822, recently, purchased an E-60 Missile Launcher. E-60 Baktoid Armor Workshop E-60 Missile Launchers were anti-armor projectile pieces used by Assault Battle Droids. They fired one missile, and the assault droids carried 6 in reserve. A variety of munitions could be used with the launcher. In a cost-cutting measure, the launchers were equipped with surplus viewfinder scopes, forcing the droids to manually aim. The rockets were capable of homing in on a target at close range.

IG-822 was constructed in 21 BBY and assigned to General Grievous, as a part of his security detail. As per the IG-100 series’ mirroring function and advanced combat learning system, it has been trained in forms one through seven. Last registered location was < CORRUPTED >

IG-822 was repurposed, refurbished, to serve as an Imperial droid, after being recovered from a smuggler’s den.
