Rena: To be honest, I was against it. Becoming a three-person team instead of a two-person one...I really hated the idea.

Rena: Since Momoko told me that, I didn't try to answer...with either a yes or no...I acted like it never happened...and we went back to the usual everyday... Somewhere in my heart, I thought "it'd be nice if Momoko forgot about that girl".

It's not like I was keeping an exact count of how many times or anything, but...I feel relieved if Momoko invites me.
...It makes me feel like she's not forcing herself to be with me...

Rena...Minami Rena is...short-tempered and annoying and condescending...completely fine with saying things that hurt other people...Minami Rena is that kind of girl.

Rena: What a load of crap. It's not like anything's gonna change anyway. Playing the "let's pretend to be friends" game? I'm tired of raising my expectations and stuff like that already.

Girl B: What's with her? She's got such a shitty attitude...She's totally not even thinking that it's nice to meet us or anything.

Rena: I'm not showing off. I don't get carried away, I don't make fun of you either. No matter how much I deny it, no one will even listen to me.

Rena: This stuff isn't painful or anything.


Rena: (I'm tired... I'll just head home. I need to get dinner ready anyway.)

Rena: My family was originally one that moved around a lot because of my dad's job which had him transfer all over the place. But, my dad switched jobs to one that doesn't transfer as often, and as he said himself: "I feel sorry for Rena and the younger brother, making them switches schools like this so many times".
...Even though my dad went out of his way to switch jobs, in the end, the situation at school never changed. It makes me feel bad. ...Well, Rena hasn't told Dad or Mom what it's like at school, but...

It seems like his current job pays less so ever since Dad switched jobs, Mom started working part-time too.
Rena doesn't want to make them worry...since they're both working hard for us already.

But, it's okay.
Well, school is hell, but...
It's like Rena found a reason to live or something.


Rena: Here, dinner's ready. Eat up before it gets cold.
Rena's younger brother: Oka--y. Ah, hey, Nee-chan-- There's something I wanted to watch that starts from 10 o'clock today, but is it okay?
Rena: Ahh--, it's okay. Even if there's an overlap, I'll just record it, so just watch your show and don't worry about me, okay? (...Wait! Rena has to finish doing the laundry before she eats dinner...!)

Rena: Whew...Finished the laundry...Rena'll just watch a bit of the DVD before she takes a bath.

Rena: Fufuu, Rena really loves this live concert's DVD. No matter how many times she watches it, it moves her.

Rena: That's right. Idols are the one and only thing that heal Rena. It's not male idols, but rather, female ones, though...
Well anyway, lately there's more girls who like female idols too...

Rena: What got me hooked was when I happened to see footage of a live concert on TV. The impact from the first time I saw it.
Everyone was shining and the stage itself was like an entirely different world.
Their smiling faces really made it look like they were having fun, and they were singing and dancing with everything they had...I could forget everything that was awful, but only when I watched those idols.

Rena: (...I don't...want to go to school...Yeah...I'll go after I watch the music video for my favorite song)

Rena: The positive lyrics, on top of everyone's bright and cheerful singing voices. The idols always gave Rena courage.
