  1. "...ome to soon enough. Make sure she's secure, or it's your ass on the line." Even waking up and feeling woozy from the gas you can recognize His voice. You seem to be hanging from the wall, Wilhelm is in view across the room from you, cuffed to a chair, a heavily armed merc standing a few feet to the side of him.
  2. <Rasia> "Rr..." Drawing a breath. "Ragh!" Her first instinct is to struggle, pushing off against the wall and thrashing against her bindings to feel them out, even as her vision tries to blur her into nausea.
  3. <Darkling> A nearby guard jumps away, gun swinging at his waist. The bindings hold, only letting her bounce an inch from the wall she's attached to.
  4. <Darkling> "See what I told you." A chuckle. "How's my little princess?" A few boot clomps and he's standing in your view, though his face is hidden behind the black glass of his helmet.
  5. <Rasia> Her stomach plummets, becoming cold and heavy. "Go away..." She tries to turn her head, bury her face against her shoulder.
  6. <Darkling> "I plan on doing anything but that!"
  7. <Darkling> He walks over to Wilhelm and slaps him in the cheek, a small blue arc meeting skin from his hand. "Wakey wakey cupcake."
  8. Rasia barks, jerking against her bindings again.
  9. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "Gah!" His head snaps to the side, hair falling out of place. He turns his head, looking up with a single eye. "Horrible bedside manners."
  10. <Darkling> "Good. Now, we're going to have a little talk while we wait for some messages to be delivered." A smile starts to spread across his face. "We're going to be good friends once this is over."
  11. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He frowns, lifting his head to spit. Silver beads splatter against the helmet's visor. "Hope that answers things for you."
  12. <Darkling> "Indeed." his hand clamps down on the metal chair you're sitting on, a nice tingle flowing through your body that makes your hair stand on end.
  13. <Wilhelm_Faustus> A growl of pain escapes from behind gritting teeth, body going rigid as electricity is introduced.
  14. <Darkling> He releases his grip, striding away, eyes locked on Rasia.
  15. Rasia bristles, her glare losing some of its bite with the make-up.
  16. <Darkling> "You know, I've missed our fun little sessions like this."
  17. <Darkling> ============Elsewhere============
  18. <Darkling> Lahja and Corrin are locked in small metal cages across from each other in an office, a single guard leaning against the wall lazily watching, or maybe dozing.
  19. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja opens her eyes, initially reflecting on her headache. As she comes to her senses she realizes that gas is like being locked up in a pitch black place for however long. It just doesn't take nearly as long for pink elephants to start making sense. She rubs at the back of her head, letting out a quiet hiss afterward.
  20. Corrin 's eyes snap open, and he tries to scramble back to his feet. Head throbbing, especially where the rifle butt had hit him, he slumps again almost immediately.
  21. <Lahja_Ilvainen> After she somewhat comes to her senses she checks her pockets for her belongings, quickly looking irked as she notices certain things are missing. She looks to the guard, then waves to Corrin with a bloody hand.
  22. <Darkling> The guard snorts, feet shuffling, but his head doesn't lift.
  23. <Corrin> Still coming out of it, Corrin squints around, trying to connect the dots, and sees Lahja. He moves forwards, up to the bars.
  24. <Darkling> You might notice there's some more students in the office in similar cages, most of them laying on the floor of the cage.
  25. <Lahja_Ilvainen> A quick hush motion as Lahja begins testing the cage, making as little noise as possible. She looks around the room tiredly for other familiar faces. No Rasia or Wilhelm. Not good.
  26. <Darkling> Grundi is there with a big welt on his face, almost straining the sides of the cage with his girth.
  27. Corrin nods, taking in how far away the guard is from him and the others.
  28. Corrin is gripping onto the bars with both hands as he looks.
  29. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Not the sturdiest of cages. Lahja takes to investigating whatever locking mechanism is there, then to the guard. How armed does he appear?
  30. <Darkling> He has at least one pistol on his hip, an automatic rifle slung over a should and tactical gear on, likely a knife or two hidden as well.
  31. Corrin lets go, grips the bars as high as he can and pushes experimentally. If he could get the cage to roll onto its side...
  32. <Darkling> While you can likely roll, or even break the cage with enough effort, that guard will likely shoot you, or at least knock you unconscious again.
  33. Corrin lets go and looks to the other cages.
  34. <Darkling> *Chhk* "Toady, come in Toady."
  35. <Darkling> The guard jerks awake, grabbing the mic attached to his chest. "Yeah I'm here, what?"
  36. <Darkling> "You were supposed to check in fifteen minutes ago, what the hell were you doing?"
  37. <Darkling> The guard grumbles then points a gun at the cages. "Keep it down in here or I'll come back in and shoot one of you!" And with that, he steps through the door into the hall.
  38. Corrin turns in the cage, watching and listening intently.
  39. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja waits a while before she takes to pushing against the cage door. It's not a very speedy push, but rather, a very gradual one that uses her weight more than her strength, neither of them particularly impressive. She looks to Corrin, mouthing the word "slow" to him.
  40. <Darkling> The door swings back open, guard walking back in.
  41. <Lahja_Ilvainen> So much for that. Lahja settles back into a slump.
  42. <Darkling> "Good to see you all listen." he lights a cigarette and leans back against the wall.
  43. <Darkling> ============Elsewhere============
  44. <Darkling> Pain shoots through your body Wilhelm as that gloved hands grips your bare chest, flesh sizzling. "Isn't this fun!"
  45. <Rasia> "STOP!" Rasia continues her thrashing, red marks appearing where the bindings bite her.
  46. <Darkling> "Now why would I do a thing like that?" Though despite his remark, he does, giving Wilhelm some reprieve.
  47. <Wilhelm_Faustus> The boy slumps forward, gasping for air.
  48. Rasia breathes through her teeth, squirming. "Kill you!"
  49. <Darkling> "Feisty! I always liked that about you. You've got spirit." He walks over to a counter and pulls his helmet off, a long blonde pony tail dropping out.
  50. <Rasia> Instinctively, her eyes avert to the ground, the mismatched eye starting to burn and itch.
  51. Wilhelm_Faustus sucks air in through his teeth, forcing himself to sit up straight. "Don't...don't listen to him. Just a bully. Heh."
  52. <Darkling> "I've read your files, every update since I was dismissed from being your handler." He drags a metal chair over to sit down a foot away from you Rasia. "Impressive, I should say."
  53. <Rasia> "..." Her eyes wander off to one side, refusing to make eye-contact despite the fire.
  54. <Darkling> "Don't be shy when someone gives you a compliment!" He reaches up, back handing her across the face.
  55. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "Don't touch her!" He actually tries to get up and out of the chair, though the restraints are quick to stop him.
  56. <Darkling> The guard by you grabs your hair Wilhelm, pulling your head back so your eyes meet the barrel of his rifle.
  57. <Rasia> Her head recovers from snapping to the side, breath coming fast. "Don't!" You know you need me. I'm the one who saved us last time. You won't survive him again. No, I can. I don't have to become that again. I have Wilhel-- Wilhelm's in danger you stupid bint!
  58. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "We both know what this guy wants." He stares up the barrel. "I know what he did to you Rasia, what you were put through. Don't give it to him." Death wasn't as scary knowing he would be back, in a fashion.
  59. <Darkling> "You know what I want do you?" He spins in his chair to face you WIlhelm, and the guard lets go of your hair. "Tell me, what do I want?"
  60. Rasia catches her breath, head slumping.
  61. Wilhelm_Faustus just smirks.
  62. <Rasia> Think...think... There's gotta be a way to get out of this. Not if you're scared witless of Him there isn't. First Wilhelm has to get out of danger, but how...
  63. <Darkling> "I wouldn't be smiling if I were you. Your unlimited lives are running out, and there won't be many of you left."
  64. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "Enough to kill you with when this is over."
  65. <Darkling> "Oh right, I should mention something." He snaps a finger and a guard comes over setting a cardboard box down in your lap. "I have a present for you."
  66. <Wilhelm_Faustus> ". . ." This can't be good.
  67. <Darkling> "Oh right, let me get that for you." he opens the box.
  68. <Darkling> ============Elsewhere============
  69. <Darkling> The guard walks between your cages, kicking a few here and there and laughing at the whimpering children.
  70. <Darkling> Reaching the far end he reaches for his mic. *Chhk* "When is my relief coming?"
  71. <Darkling> "We'll send the new guy down." *chhk*
  72. <Darkling> "New guy.. bah!" He leans against the wall.
  73. <Lahja_Ilvainen> New guy. That could work out, especially if he's not armed to the teeth. While she waits Lahja looks around the room for anything remotely weaponlike, as well as any vents.
  74. <Darkling> There's the standard ventilation in the school, but you'll not likely fit in it. You can also see a pile of belongings in the far corner of the room.
  75. Corrin waits until they're done speaking. Then he squats against the back of the cage, still staring intently at the wall. If he can get the guard close enough...
  76. <Darkling> The door opens and the guard perks up. "Finally, I need to take a shit." He hurriedly walks across the room and out the door.
  77. Corrin watches the doorway.
  78. <Darkling> The new guard looks less intimidating, though in tactical gear and armed all the same. He's also a lot younger looking.
  79. <Darkling> He takes a step forward, face coming into the light.
  80. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja looks to the guard, only slightly relieved by the sight. She takes a few deep breaths and looks to Corrin, then the guard.
  81. Corrin stares at the newcomer.
  82. <Darkling> Someone in another cage cries out. "Kurt! Let us out! Please..."
  83. <Darkling> He tries to ignore it, but you can see the hesitation in his face.
  84. <Lahja_Ilvainen> A double take from Lahja. She initially considers cow gas, but shakes that thought right off once she's gotten a good look at him. Isn't this awkward? "Not exactly what I expected the new guy to look like."
  85. <Corrin> "Kurt?" Corrin asks, sounding honestly confused.
  86. <Darkling> "Shut up, all of you." He raises his gun threateningly, though it looks a bit silly being held by such a small person.
  87. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Just talking to pass the time. But if you prefer silence..." Lahja says nonchalantly while staring at Kurt.
  88. <Darkling> "..." He looks sad to you Lahja. "I was told to shoot you you know, if you tried anything."
  89. <Corrin> "You're one of them." Corrin snarls. "You son of a bitch!" He tries to stand, but drops back down when the cage roof stops him.
  90. <Darkling> The gun swings to point at you, end shaking unsteadily. "Don't do that again!"
  91. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I come from a family that enforced strict military discipline, so I know better than to expect any lenience. But if we behave do you think we'll get out alive? Honestly? Or do we all get shot at the end of the day?" There is quite a bit of suspicion in that last question.
  92. <Corrin> "I don't listen to traitors." Corrin snaps, but remains crouched.
  93. <Darkling> "N-n-not everyone gets shot. That's not the plan."
  94. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Only some people get shot, then?" Lahja smiles.
  95. <Corrin> "Not everyone? Who gets shot?" Corrin demands.
  96. <Darkling> "You do, if you don't stop talking!"
  97. <Corrin> "Look me in the face and say that."
  98. <Darkling> He stares right down the line of sight on his gun at you Corrin. "You should've taken my advice in the dance, now stop talking or you'll regret it."
  99. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "No need to be so aggressive, Corrin. Kurt's always been a nice enough guy. He's just found himself in a lousy situation or something." She sounds slightly harsh, but it's probably not the worst she's said by any stretch.
  100. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I've got a thought, Kurt. Want to hear it?" She says it with a smile and softens her tone, standing so much as the cage allows.
  101. <Darkling> He turns his face to you Lahja, gun still pointed shakily at Corrin.
  102. Corrin watches the scene, fingers gripping the upper part of the cage again.
  103. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I don't trust this situation at all, and I think you might have the idea we're important people in some way. It's bad if we get hurt. If you let us out it's easy enough to say we tricked you and overpowered you, and we'll do what we can to protect you after this is over. If you're not willing to do that, I'd like to be able to write a letter to someone just in case I die. You can hang on to it for me. Maybe then you can shoo
  104. <Lahja_Ilvainen> t me afterwards. Because we're friends, right?" All this is said in a peculiarly calm tone.
  105. <Darkling> He looks to be thinking it over. "No, I'm sorry. We're friends, but, I... I just can't."
  106. <Darkling> ============Elsewhere============
  107. <Darkling> Emerald green eyes stare up at you Wilhelm.
  108. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He looks like he's trying to get as far away from the box in his lap as he can. "Nnh...no..."
  109. <Darkling> The bottom of the box is soaked with blood, though from your squirming you manage to topple the box from your lap, the head in it rolling across the room in a red tangled mass.
  110. Rasia ripples in revulsion, incapable of moving much more.
  111. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "Why...why would you do that?!" His voice cracks. Even if she has been strange, she was his mother. His throat tightens, tears welling up.
  112. <Darkling> "She tried to stop us." He was enjoying your pain. "She didn't want to let us purge all of your backups. She cried out, clawed at the tanks as they died, one by one."
  113. <Rasia> "Ragh!" Seems Rasia doesn't like that idea much more than Freyja did.
  114. <Darkling> Her bindings groan under her efforts and a guard rushes over to ensure they are still secure.
  115. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "I -will- kill you..." His threats must sound empty as he struggle not to cry, staring at the head.
  116. Rasia snaps her teeth at him, fingers grasping for any fabric he's stupid enough to get close.
  117. <Darkling> She manages to claw through his glove, drawing blood. The guard yelps, then gives her a punch to the gut.
  118. <Darkling> A moment later, the guard is sprawled across the floor, Jareth having stood and spun, smashing him with the chair he was sitting on. "Don't touch her! She's mine."
  119. Rasia grits her teeth tight, His minor act of 'kindness' unappreciated.
  120. <Darkling> the guard collects himself, "Sorry sir."
  121. <Darkling> Jareth turns back to Rasia, eyes almost feverish, then looks back at Wilhelm. "Where were we?"
  122. Rasia twists her arm back and forth, her teeth unclenching before she breaks one. Let loose. You could kill the guard and have His head in your hands before He could react. You're faster than Him. No, not without... Instinct beats training any day. Do it! No!
  123. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "Ragh!"1The Aryan suddenly and quite violently fights against his restraints.
  124. <Darkling> A blank stare from the guard that is by Wilhelm, and he looks to Jareth.
  125. <Darkling> The chair wobbles under Wilhelm as he thrashes.
  126. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He almost looks like the thing that wants to be let out of you, Rasia. Intelligence is gone from his eyes. It's a wonder he isn't foaming at the mouth.
  127. <Rasia> Makes her queasy. "Stop, stop..."
  128. <Darkling> Another soldier comes in through the door, pausing to watch Wilhelm. "Uh, sir, we've got someone on the line for negotiations."
  129. <Darkling> "Good. Watch them, make sure he doesn't kill himself or something.." Jareth leaves the room.
  130. <Darkling> ============Elsewhere============
  131. <Darkling> Kurt's taken a seat on the floor, a few feet from both your cages, gun still pointed in Corrin's direction, but down on the ground.
  132. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "So how did you get involved with these people? Born into it?"
  133. <Darkling> "No." He looks glum.
  134. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Did they buy you? Or is all of this confidential?"
  135. Corrin listens intently, but is silent for now, still against the mesh.
  136. <Darkling> "It's not like that."
  137. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "That narrows it down. It's just strange for kids to be involved in something like this is all." Lahja shrugs.
  138. <Darkling> "That's funny, coming from you."
  139. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I know. I still find it strange, even for me. I'd like to say what we do is different, but I don't know enough to judge."
  140. <Darkling> "I've seen what you're capable of. I hacked into the network first hand... that's when they showed up. they were going to kill me for what I saw, unless I helped them."
  141. <Corrin> "So you're a coward." Corrin spits from his cage, gaze moving to Lahja then back.
  142. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "And when they no longer need your help? What then? Do you get a job?"
  143. <Darkling> The gun raises at you Corrin. "I survived. Not much different from what you would do."
  144. <Corrin> "No." Corrin says dully, a reflexive denial, plan forgotten for the moment. "That's not true. We're nothing alike."
  145. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I hope it works out well." Lahja sighs, twitching and getting considerably more tense as a thought crosses her mind.
  146. <Darkling> "You're right, at least I'd only shoot a person to live, not like you. They showed me your file." He's glaring at you Corrin.
  147. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja looks from Kurt to Corrin, curiosity briefly overpowering her new shot of apprehension.
  148. Corrin glares right back, fingers tight around the mesh of the cage. "I have my duty. I'm following orders because it's the right thing to do. You're just a coward." His reply's hurried, and almost frantic.
  149. <Darkling> "Whatever cannibal." He looks to Lahja. "I read yours too. I'm sorry about the way your dad treated you."
  150. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja takes a very long, hard look at Corrin. It's not a pleasant one, and it takes a few moments before she answers in a flat tone. "In the end I won. I shed all that conditioning and won."
  151. <Corrin> Corrin remains at the cage door, suddenly slumping. He can't look Lahja in the eyes.
  152. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja eventually tears her gaze from Corrin and back to Kurt. "I really wish we were on the same side in this, Kurt. To date I've never been threatened by these people. I've actually been happy, if strange."
  153. <Darkling> Kurt looks at her solemnly, then stands. "I'm sorry then Lahja, I really am." He heads over to the door and leans against the wall.
  154. <Darkling> ============Elsewhere============
  155. <Darkling> Wilhelm's been given something to calm him, though he managed to bite the guard administering him. He's still raving, but calmer.
  156. <Darkling> Jareth is back, and he's taken a seat in front of Rasia again. "So, your new handler is aware of your situation. He's probably on his way now to try and save you."
  157. <Rasia> Lit now, too?! How many people are you going to put at risk before you do what has to be done?! Rasia snarls and tries to kick at Him, snapping her teeth on empty air. Heart pounding, her dress starts to feel tight. There has to be an out, Lit wouldn't get himself hurt... "..."
  158. <Darkling> "Yes, you know what we'll do to him too. But first, some fun with your clone plaything." He gets up pushing the chair out of the way and drawing a bowie knife.
  159. <Rasia> "NO! No!"
  160. <Darkling> One of the guards grabs Wilhelm's hair again as Jareth rips the shirt off the aryan.
  161. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He does his best to meet Rasia's eyes, hands gripping against the arms of the metal chair and digging his heels into the floor.
  162. <Rasia> "STOP! NO! STOP!" She almost chants it. Each one comes with a harsh jerk and pull, tears welling up. Her throat pulls taught.
  163. <Darkling> Steel meets flesh, silver blood dripping down Wilhelm's chest.
  164. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He tries to bite it back at first, keeping his focus on the Israeli. But his body isn't made like hers. He's slender and weak. "Nngh-ARGH!" He strains to keep his eyes open. We'll kill him yet. Him, Kurt...all of them.
  165. <Rasia> Wilehlm's cry just spurs her. The wall complains and rattles, bruises forming where restraint fought most valiantly.
  166. <Darkling> Another slice and a long ribbon of a flesh plops to the floor, the remaining two guards keeping their guns fixed on Rasia.
  167. <Rasia> Coherency fades away. She isn't making demands anymore, she's simply screaming. Thrashing. Meticulously-styled hair flies into disarray, over her eyes. DO IT! YOU HAVE TO! YOU KNOW WHAT WE'RE CAPABLE OF. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
  168. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He can't even vocalize how much this hurts, rasping and moaning. He struggles between not passing out and trying to bite at the guy, always watching Rasia. No, don't do it.
  169. <Darkling> The wall and restraints rattle and shake violently under the strain, but manage to hold. The guards look pretty worried however as another ribbon of flesh hits the floor.
  170. <Rasia> She's sounding more and more familiar, Jareth. That screaming beast you crafted so lovingly is resurfacing.
  171. <Darkling> A final ribbon of flesh hits the floor and Jareth stands to admire his handiwork before turning, grin widespread across his face.
  172. <Wilhelm_Faustus> What the hell did you carve into me you fuck? He blinks to clear his eyes, peering down.
  173. <Darkling> He crosses the room, fitting on his helmet. "Time to get ready for our guests."
  174. <Rasia> Metal groans, buckles, and shears free. Taking chunks of sheetrock and burs of steel with, her arm swings around to grab the other, wrenching it out with an inhuman cry. With the leverage, she rips her foot free, taking the shoe and some pretty thick chunks of flesh off.
  175. <Darkling> Jareth turns back around, fully suited up, one hand crackling with blue arcs of electricity. "Now, that's the Rasia I know."
  176. <Darkling> Just then, the whole building shakes and the power cuts.
