BACKGROUND: dabin was born in mokpo, a small city in south korea on a warm summer day. she grew up living a normal life, with loving parents, family members, and lots of friends. dabin is an only child so she would have no one to play with at home so she tends to play outside either with her friends or alone. dabin is a very cheerful girl growing up, she's always open to meeting new people and make new friends and that's why she helps her mom with their family flower shop, and often gets compliments on how she's cute and charming. but sometimes she would get really sick out of nowhere and get sudden chest pain or become too tired to do anything.

until one day she got really sick and had to go the hospital, turns out she was diagnosed with lymphoma at the age of seven. and cause of that her happy energy started fading, knowing that she won't be living a long and happy life she wished to have. she wouldn't have that charming smile of hers whenever people came and visited her or whenever she was meeting someone or anything, that smile of hers was long gone. she would always be too tired and lost interest in doing anything.

she suffered for so long, and thought to herself 'why am i still here? it's been five years for god sake! let me rest and go' that's what she thought but not until the next day, she was miraculously recovered.

she was the happiest to find out that she was free for what seemed like forever, and when she was recovered her parents told her that apparently their flower shop is a success and someone from seoul wanted to make another boutique in seoul, so then, they moved from mokpo, to start a new chapter in life in seoul.

dabin went to a new school, made friends lots of them and had her postive and happy energy back just like she did back then. in seoul dabin also helps her mother with the flower shop everyday after school, this went on until she was 18 years old and has graduated high school. during those 6 years she found interest in dancing, though starting she was really bad at it, but when she practiced and practiced she became really good at dancing. she thought about auditioning for a company in the big city of seoul but never really had the guts to try audition cause she was a big ass wussy.

okay now forward to when she's 18 and is helping her mom with the flower boutique, suddenly an elegant lady came up to her and asked, “would you have interest in auditioning for pledis entertainment?”. and without hesitation dabin accepted the offer and came to the private auditions the following weekend and luckily got accepted.

dabin is now a trainee in pledis entertainment, and is soon to debut.
