I believe I have good skills with the following computer science areas:
1) Algorithms and data structures: I had three courses on those topics: Data Structures, Algorithm Analysis, Algorithms Design, all with good results[a]. Besides the personal projects listed in my resume, worth mentioning is creating a system for a store, as part of a team. The system monitors the goods and makes statistics on the most/least sold items. It used a lot of data structures, such as heap, treap, hashmap, linked lists etc. It also required finding the most suitable location for a new store, task solved with Bron Kerbrosh algorithm.


2) Networking: I had a pretty complex course focusing on this, implementing some interesting projects, that could be seen in my resume. This semester I will also complete the Local Networks module.


3) Artificial intelligence and machine learning: this is a passion of mine that I would love to improve in the future. I already have some experience after building a bot that can smartly play the Halite game [1][b] as part of a three persons team. It is mainly based on the A* algorithm with different heuristics, based on the stage of the game.

Regarding the programming languages, I consider myself at a good level for C/C++ and Java, having most of my projects in those languages. I have also worked with MATLAB, Racket, Haskell or Prolog during university so far. Until an eventual internship, I will also learn Python as part of a course and it’s also one of my main goals for the months to come. I also should mention that I have good skills with Unix systems or version control over github[c].


Last but not least, I also took part in different programming contests, the most relevant ones being the ACM ICPC National Selection and a hackathon where, as part of a team, I created a Pac-man game remake using a programming language completely new for us (Unity).

I am always open to new challenges and to learning new things but, most importantly, I always get excited about the idea of working on something which will have a big impact. However, when you think of Google, every product has an impact, having millions of people using it all over  the world. I’d be happy to be part of any team, from Maps, Search, Ads to Youtube or Gmail.
If I were to choose one area I would like to learn more about, or to work on, it would definitely be artificial intelligence and machine learning. It is a subject that I have always been passionate about, but did not have the chance of exploring much of it. Anyway, I wouldn’t say no to any other computer science area because I always enjoy learning new things.[d] Also, the programming languages and technologies required for the project are not a problem as I believe I can get used to anything pretty soon.




As I expressed my opinion above, I don’t have a strong preference on the location and I would be willing to go almost anywhere. Anyway, if I were to choose, I would either go to Zurich (because I believe it’s the biggest Google office in Europe and I would love to live in Switzerland[e]) or London[f][g] (a city that has everything). Dublin, Paris or Munich are also very good alternatives.

I believe I have good skills with the following computer science areas:

I am currently enrolled in a course of Artificial Intelligence, continued by a Machine Learning one, because of my passion and interest into this field and into complex algorithms, which I would love to improve in the (near) future. I also completed a module on Local Networks which broadened my knowledge and understanding of both networking and communication protocols involved and their use and functionality in real life.


Regarding the programming languages, I consider myself at a good level for C/C++ and Java, having most of my projects in those languages. My previous internship project was developed in GoLang, which I learned during the internship and gained some experience in it. I have also worked with Python, Haskell, and also MATLAB, Racket, Prolog during university so far. I also should mention that I have good skills with Unix systems or version control over github.

I don’t have a strong preference on the location and I would be willing to go almost anywhere. Anyway, if I were to choose, my first thought would be Zurich (because I fell in love with the Google Office when I saw it during the Intern Summit - I would love working in such a big office and I also like Switzerland) or London (a city that has everything). Dublin, Paris or Stockholm are also very good alternatives as I wish to explore a new city, culture and Google campus.

I’d be happy to be part of any team, but especially Maps, Ads, Youtube or Gmail, because these are products I personally use on a daily basis.

I also loved working in security in my previous internship and learning more about the issues in this domain. Anyway, I wouldn’t say no to any other computer science area because I always enjoy learning new things and I consider myself a fast learner. I think the most relevant project would be the last one, the one I worked on during my last internship. It was a very complex experience for me, because it was my first real working project. It required understanding a very broad codebase, new technologies, concepts, a new programming language. The project required handling SSH connections and keys, updating and rotating them. I came accross a lot of code written by other people which I needed to adapt my own code to, I had to develop a reliable design and make a good schedulling, because the tool I developed needed to be run periodically.
