Remote Manage Linux Boxes?

My work’s upper management wants to get rid of all our Linux desktops because they “can’t be managed”. What they mean is that our MIS team cannot admin them directly via out chosen MDM solution (AirWatch).

Our entire fleet of Linux desktops are Ubuntu based and other than Ubuntu Landscape (which doesn’t meet our needs) we haven’t found a solid solution for remotely admitting these machines. Do you have any suggestions that we can look into so we can keep our Devs happily coding on their Linux boxes.
