  8. Has anyone studied the science of Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UBI) therapy? Is anyone using it? Any success? We have a local doctor here using it and I had a patient inquire about it. If someone else has done the research, I would greatly appreciate the resources.

  24. Hi, a good couple of resources are the book Into the Light, by William Douglass. Also the article Ultraviolet Light the Cure That Time Forgot, by Robert Rowen.
  25. As far as uvlrx, it is newer and I don't believe there is as much info out there on it. The one thing I would clarify with the treating doctor is what specific UV wavelengths that covers.

  36. We have been doing UBI IV's with ozone for years at the clinic I am working at, and I have seen great results. I believe it is in large part due to the ozone over the UV light it runs through, but the therapy works great for a lot of my patients--esp viral infections, mold and multiple systemic infections.

  38. As Daniel Chong mentioned, the UVLRx is still an IRB study that Dr's can sign up for. Our medical director has implemented it for close to 1 year now, and I can't decide which way I sway. I haven't seen a benefit with a couple of the patients I sent for the treatment, and it tends to require a larger needle (18 gauge) for the saline to flow through to keep the vein open for a 1 hr treatment cycle-- I believe 30 min of white and red and then 30 min of white and green. However, I have heard of a couple of patients experiencing "Herxheimer reactions" post IV. You can read more about it at uvlrx.com but, again, it is still being researched and I have found much more benefit with the IV MAH/UBI.

  49. We also use the UBI/Ozone treatment and have seen good success with it. Amazing for acute cold/flu's and a supportive therapy for chronic immune pathology.
