- The game does not show you your play time. You'll have to time your
sessions manually if you want to keep track of it.
- Exp is divided among active party members.
- The game is quite hard. I myself can't keep anyone other than Ness
alive until I reach the end of the game (where it's easy to get the
others to Lv99). Expect to see the game over screen a lot. The game
over policy is the golden parachute.
- HP gain is tied to Vitality and PP gain is tied to IQ. Unless your
Vitality or IQ goes up, your HP and PP gains upon leveling up will be
marginal or non-existent.

- When you start a new game, you'll go through the settings (set text
speed to fast (Hayai)) and choose names for the characters and some
other stuff (the last one being the name of the offensive spell Ness
uses).

- You'll start off with 20 bucks (+30 on your bank account) and the
Cash Card, which is used to operate ATMs. Money from defeating enemies
always goes directly to your bank account.
- Each character has 14 slots of inventory space.
- You can use L to talk to and examine stuff.
- Go talk to Porky / Pokey near the site of the impact then return home.
Later, answer the door and talk to mom.
- The phone will ring as you try to leave. Calling your dad will allow
you to save your game. Your dad will call you on your cell every two
straight hours to pester you. Doesn't matter how you respond.
- Talking to your sister Tracy allows you to access the storage (36 slots).
- You'll want to level up a little first. Enemies have a habit of spawning
in specific spots. You can easily get into battles right in front of your
house. Just move a little right, then left.
- Make your way to the meteor to find Porky's brother as well as Bunbuun.
- Go talk to Porky's dad then get the Oto no Ishi from the dying Bunbuun
(choose 'No').
- From now on, you can run into the photographer in specific spots. These
encounters have no impact on anything, though.
- Make full use the butterflies. Catching one heals 20 PP to all characters.

- Ness has a nasty habit of becoming Homesick, which usually prevents
him from acting. The only way to cure it is to return home and talk to mom.
- You can pick up the town map at the library.
- Make your way to the tree house behind the library to get the Mister no
Boushi.
- Get some new gear at the drug store, then level up by the arcade (Lv8
is enough).
- Behind the arcade, you'll fight Frank and his robot creation.

- The Aruku Kinokos can inflict you with the nasty Kinoko status ailment.
It's like confusion and lasts until healed. The only way to get rid of
it is to find someone who can remove it (you'll gain 50 dollars in the
process). The guy with blue hair in any hospital can do it.

- Call mom to get the number for Escargo Unsou. Calling it will allow
you to access your storage.
- If you keep talking to the guy in the large room in the hotel, you'll
get 50 bucks.
- I'd skip the bike. You can only ride it when your party consists of
a single character.
- Yoyos and Slingshots have lower accuracy than bats and can't deal
critical hits.
- The Douguya no Kanban can be used to call an NPC to buy items from you.
- Fighting Tonchiki-san (986 xp) at the park is optional.
- There's a Nuigurumi in Paula's room in the house that says Polestar.
It will take some damage in your stead.
- Visit the pizza place to get their number (they do deliveries only).
The large pizza is 238 D and heals 240 HP.
- The trash can in Apple Kid's house contains the Kowareta Kikai
(Anti-PSI Machine once fixed). You shouldn't pick it up as it's hardly
useful and you can't get rid of it.
- Talk to the Apple Kid. Give him some food and 200 D, then head east
from the bus station.

						\\\ Grateful Dead no Tani ||
- Once you've seen the pencil, head back to Twoson.

- Talk to Apple Kid at the park to receive the Takokeshi Machine. You can
use it to destroy the pencils.

- You won't have enough space for all the items, so be selective. You

- You can try to level up Paula, but it won't make a difference. As I've
already explained, I always have to go solo with Ness for the vast
majority of the game, as I've no idea how you're supposed to be able to
keep the other characters alive.
- You'll need to go to a hospital to revive dead characters.

- Visit the Polestar building for a scene. You can get the Hand Aid
from one of the NPCs in the first room.
- Go talk to Tonchiki at the park to get the Satsutaba.
- Talk to the Tonzura member outside the club to get the Backstage
Pass. Use it to get inside the club. Talk to the girl near the door
leading backstage to get backstage. Next, give the Satsutaba to the
club owner (you need to stand right next to him to do so).
- Talk to the Tonzura guy outside and get on the bus once you're ready
to go to Threek.

- Check one of the drawers on the second floor of the hospital to
find the Taishitakotonaimono.
- Toritsuki Zombies can possess you, which is one of the most annoying
status ailments in the game. The blue-haired guy can get rid of it.
- Approach the zombies in the northwest corner, then follow the woman
in front of the hotel and you'll end up locked up. Check the door and
you'll switch to Jeff.

- Jeff starts with the following items: Pencil Rocket 5, Yude Tamago,
Monosashi, Bundoki, Kowareta Spray. Eggs will eventually hatch at which
point you'll start hearing chirping noises.
- Jeff can't deal critical hits, but his attacks ignore shields.
- Jeff can't use any PSI, but he's the only character who can use
Pencil Rockets and certain tools and gadgets during battle. He can also
fix broken (Kowareta) items when spending the night somewhere. Depending
on the item, this requires that his IQ has reached a certain figure.
- Talk to the guy on the first floor to get the Locker no Kagi. Try to
use it on one of the lockers, then talk to him again. Use the machine
to clear the lockers (3 items in total).
- Start by getting some levels. Buy some Fuusen Gum from the woman at
the store then talk to the monkey.
- Talk to one of the NPCs in one of the huts by the lake / river and
spend the night. Next, approach the water to get a ride from Tessie.

						\\\ Brick Road ||
Items: Butter Roll, Sacchuu Spray, Kowareta Iron, Croissant,
 Shock Gun (Unique)
- Once fixed, the Kowareta Iron becomes the Nebaneba Machine. This is
the only one of Jeff's tools you can get rid of (and re-obtain if you
want to). It's hardly useful, so I suggest you just sell it.

						\\\ Rainy Circle ||

- Use the gum near the third chest to have the monkey toss down the rope.

Item: Kowareta Suidoukan (Unique, Temp)		\\\ Winters ||
- Don't fight the enemies by the Stonehenge.
- Once fixed, the Kowareta Suidoukan becomes the Shield Killer (30 IQ).
You can use it to take down an enemy's shield, although it doesn't
always work.
- Talk to the professor inside the lab then use the Sky Walker.

will be kidnapped (assuming she's alive). Fight the boss on 4F.

- Go to the bar northwest and talk to the NPC standing next to the wall.
Outside, give an item to one of the NPCs, so you can talk to Tonchiki
(choose 'No'). Back inside the bar, check the wall behind the counter
to enter the madness that is Moonside.

- In Moonside, no means yes and yes means no.
- Talking to certain NPCs (mostly the blonde guys with shades) will
warp you to other locations.
- Talk to the guy with the mustache blocking your path to the Monotoly
building then talk to the blonde guy in front of the hospital. Eventually,
you'll reach a room with a shadowy figure walking around. Talk to him
and choose 'No' then talk to the other guy to get out. You should now
be able to get past the guy with the mustache. Beat the statue and
you're out.

- Talk to the charred monkey. Your next destination is the cave on the
west side of the desert, but before heading out, go to the department
store to pick up a Hamburger, Ensoku Lunch and an Otona no Drink.
At the desert, grab a Skip Sando as well. You'll also need the Takokeshi
Machine. If Paula had it, it'll be in your storage.

- You need to give certain items to the monkeys to proceed.
- Go grab the Nure Towel at A3, then clear out A4 to B2.
- Umitate Tamagos will eventually hatch, at which point you'll start
hearing chirping noises.
- Once fixed, the Kowareta Tsutsu becomes the Super Chuu Chuu. It
drains a little HP from all targets. You may want to leave it.
- The Chuuwa Machine can be used to take down shields and negate stat
changes. It always works, but it affects both enemies and allies alike.
You should hang on to either this or the Shield Killer.
- Talk to the guy in C4 to get the Gourmet Toufu Machine, then talk to
the monkey.

Special: Teleport A				\\\ Desert ||
- Talk to the monkey again a couple of times and Ness will learn
Teleport A. Note that you can change direction while using it.

- A guy in one of the houses on the east side will give you the number
of the Stoic Club. Call them and you can get inside. Talk to the guy
by the second table then the woman near the first table. Outside, talk
to the woman again near the shop and you'll switch to Kato.

Items: Satori no Bentou, Inochi no Udon, Satori no Ishi (Unique),
 Mizu, Mandala Furikake, Yagi Butter Gayu, Mizu
- Kato starts with the Chiisa na Ruby (Unique, Temp), Mizu and a bunch
of spells.
- Normal equipment will lower Kato's stats instead of increasing them.
Also, he can't be healed by processed food.
- The left-most chest in the palace holds the Satori no Ishi. It's
hardly useful, so you should leave it behind.
- Climb the pillar south to meditate. Don't move and keep choosing
'Yes.' If you screw up, you need to go talk to the guy in the throne
room before you can try again.
- Once you're done, return to the guy in the throne room.

Boss: DX Starman
- The enemies will be gone after you take down the boss. If you want
the Ouja no Tsurugi, you have to get it before that. The best place to
do so is at the very beginning of the futuristic area. The Starmen are
not really dangerous, so you can do it with Ness solo (he'll more than
likely reach Lv99 during the process). You need to avoid the Energy
Robos, though, so if you see one, refresh. If you do encounter one,
you should probably run away. Don't go too far away from the door.
You can go east up until the bridge and down the ladder. You can
easily get a pre-emptive on the Starmen by approaching them from the
side. Getting the sword will likely take a couple of hours.
- Once fixed, the Kowareta Rappa becomes the Defense Shower. It's
hardly useful, so feel free to skip it.

[Boss]

- You did get the Ouja no Tsurugi, right?
- Either way, talk to the Dosei-san to get the ribbon, then talk to
Apple Kid.

Item (nc): Mukuchi o Naosu Hon (Unique, Temp)	\\\ Onett ||
- Pick up the book from one of the shelves at the library. While you're
in the neighborhood, go pick up the 7 Inochi no Tsunobues from storage.
If you don't have them, go buy them at Saturn Valley.

Trade: Somatsu na Pan, Soboku no Yoghurt, Somatsu na Pan, Spicy Hoshiniku,

- Give the book to the guy near the table. Talk to him again afterwards
to get some Dragon Powder.
- Trade the Inochi no Tsunobues to get the aforementioned items.
- Talk to the guy near the rock to reach Lumine Hall.

- If you want Jeff's best weapon, the best place to get it is in the
room with the first chest. He won't be able to fix it until he's around
Lv70, though.
