Matias - TrueOS / Launchd

Hi guys,

Congratulations and many thanks for your work and the treasured weekly show.

All my laptops (for the last 5 years) and server boxes (for the last 15 years) have been running on FreeBSD but as I gave up on free-lancing and got a company job 2 years ago I gave Ubuntu a shot on my company laptop, to gain some experience and for maximum compatibility with my workmates. I am starting at another company next month, have had enough of Ubuntu and am looking at installing TrueOS on my company laptop. Could you recommend an array of modern laptops that suspend and are wifi-supported in TrueOS? I do not mind getting my hands a bit dirty.

I would also like to know whether TrueOS is (still?) using launchd as the launchd wiki (https://wiki.freebsd.org/launchd) seems to imply? Based on my ignorance, prejudice and gut-feeling, I sincerely hope not, but I would above all love to hear what you guys have to say about it.
