  1. TwinBuilder: **[Hi there! I'm Flumpty Bumpty. I'm an egg! I'm immune to the plot and I can transcend time and space! Also, I'm stuck in a kaleidoscopic void. You can figure out the rest. Have... fun‽]**
  2. TwinBuilder: **[EGGxEGG]**
  3. Sp33d0n: Oh no.
  4. consumptiveAbsolutist: oh m god
  5. consumptiveAbsolutist: 7x7 sequel
  6. EveningtheToast: Keep those lights off
  7. consumptiveAbsolutist: > hinary pinary the destroyer?
  8. TwinBuilder: **[My name isn't Pinary. It's Flumpty. Flumpty Bumpty.]**
  9. TwinBuilder: **[But I'm not really sure about much else. ...Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.]**
  10. TwinBuilder: **[Sure is bright around here.]**
  11. TwinBuilder: **[What do you guys think I should do, huh?]**
  12. The Nonexistent Tazz: >What do you last remember?
  13. existence_success: >[s????] flumpty: escape from ~~detroit~~ a kaleidoscopic void
  14. Sp33d0n: ^ to Tazz
  15. Pope: ^
  16. TwinBuilder: **[What do I last remember? Boy. A good question. Let's see...]**
  17. consumptiveAbsolutist: recall the recent past, yes
  18. Yung Venuz: ^
  19. TwinBuilder: **[I was... floating in Limbo. God, what an awful place. I think I was looking at the rusted gates for what must have been, like, the six million five hundred ninety two thousand three hundred and twenty seventh time.]**
  20. TwinBuilder: **[And then, all of a sudden, the skies peeled away from the earth, the ground was swallowed whole, and the horizon of existence was snapped into forty-nine pieces.]**
  21. TwinBuilder: **[For a fleeting instant I saw the kaleidoscopic anarchy beyond. And now it's just this annoying haze at the edge of my vision.]**
  22. TwinBuilder: **[I don't think any of you can see it but if you could, it'd probably give you seizures.]**
  23. consumptiveAbsolutist: > uh, go into the annoying haze?
  24. PitTheAngel: >Myself: Do some internet detective-work, and discover flumpty's role name for the curious.
  25. The Nonexistent Tazz: > Anything of note around you (other than the haze)?
  26. consumptiveAbsolutist: > I think that's where the interesting stuff is
  27. Yung Venuz: > yes the annoying haze contains the interesting stuff
  28. TwinBuilder: **[Anything of note around me... Ooh, looks like the gate I was looking at.]**
  29. Yung Venuz: > enter er
  30. TwinBuilder: **[Though it looks... different, somehow.]**
  31. TwinBuilder: **[I'm almost certain the Limbo gate doesn't have a pillar on each side of it.]**
  32. consumptiveAbsolutist: > Enter the gat-
  33. Sp33d0n: >Does it have circles on it?
  34. consumptiveAbsolutist: oh my god it's the fucking Gate
  35. TwinBuilder: **[Lemme see, uh. One, two, three... yeah, nine! Definitely nine circles.]**
  36. Sp33d0n: >Hm...
  37. TwinBuilder: **[If you kinda squint that one looks like a tenth but that might just be a trick of the light.]**
  38. Yung Venuz: > DO NOT ENTER THAT gate
  39. TwinBuilder: **[Couldn't if I wanted to, bucko! It's locked. Locked tight.]**
  40. consumptiveAbsolutist: you totally should
  41. consumptiveAbsolutist: doggo is a borinf sane person
  42. consumptiveAbsolutist: but it's locked ;-;
  43. TwinBuilder: **[Doggo. Sane. Sure. That's a funny joke.]**
  44. TwinBuilder: **[Er. A funny *yolk.*]**
  45. Yung Venuz: it's all just a yolk
  46. Sp33d0n: >I would avoid that gate like the plague.
  47. TwinBuilder: **[Y'see, the way I like to see the world, everything's just a yolk. It's ALL just a NOPE WHY AM I BEING SO META.]**
  48. consumptiveAbsolutist: there's a cool guy named the scribe trying to open the gate, say hi if you meet
  49. TwinBuilder: **[I'll be sure to say hi in my own special Flumpty Bumpty certified way.]**
  50. TwinBuilder: [**`nasty laugh`**]
  51. Sp33d0n: >Just go somewhere else. Turn around. And walk away.
  52. EveningtheToast: please don't rip his face off
  53. consumptiveAbsolutist: oh yeah thanks for Eyesaur 2.0 :(
  54. TwinBuilder: **[No promises!]**
  55. consumptiveAbsolutist: Eyesaur 2.0 is totes great
  56. consumptiveAbsolutist: *15 times 13 AoE damage*
  57. consumptiveAbsolutist: anyway
  58. TwinBuilder: **[Okay, let's ollie outta there and walk somewhere... else. Hm. Looks like a bunch of mountains, nothing really interesting going on here... Even more mountains... More mountains, more mountains, more mountains...]**
  59. TwinBuilder: **[Dude it's just a bunch of mountains.]**
  60. Yung Venuz: Eyesaur is a awesome creation flumpty you should create more things
  61. Sp33d0n: >Does it look like Light is coming from them.
  62. TwinBuilder: **[Maybe if I keep walking.]**
  63. Yung Venuz: yes keep walking is gud idea
  64. Sp33d0n: >Keep walking.
  65. Yung Venuz: ^
  66. TwinBuilder: **[Okay. I'll keep walking, then.]**
  67. Yung Venuz: >examine surroundings as you walk
  68. TwinBuilder: **[This is really tiring... is what I would say if I felt tired about anything ever. Nah. Ol' Flumpty doesn't *do* tired. That's wayyy up there on the list of things that I don't do.]**
  69. Yung Venuz: >tired is for scrubs
  70. EveningtheToast: >or, you know, teleport. Since you have space time manipulation
  71. Sp33d0n: >Hm...
  72. TwinBuilder: **[...Oh yeah. Why didn't I think of that‽ See! This is why I carry you guys around!]**
  73. TwinBuilder: **[ZOOP]**
  74. TwinBuilder: **[Oh, hey. That little fella kinda looks like Triple B. Let's go say hi to him!]**
  75. TwinBuilder: **[Yo! Birthday Boy Blam! What are the ups, my friendo?]**
  76. TwinBuilder: **[...Blam?]**
  77. Sp33d0n: >Something tells me that might not go well.
  78. Yung Venuz: >^
  79. Yung Venuz: >Verify blamness of BBB
  80. TwinBuilder: **[He... he's not talking, guys. Kinda just looks like he's shuffling in place along with the rest of the void.]**
  81. TwinBuilder: **[Maybe if I go closer.]**
  82. Yung Venuz: Uh.
  83. Sp33d0n: >DO NOT.
  84. EveningtheToast: >BACK AWAY
  85. Sp33d0n: >I don't think that's this BBB Person.
  86. consumptiveAbsolutist: > Do
  87. Sp33d0n: >Consumer shut up
  88. consumptiveAbsolutist: > Look at those idiots.
  89. TFToast: >Do it
  90. TwinBuilder: **[Whoa whoa, take it easy! I mean, if my shell gets cracked then I can just make a new one, no biggie!]**
  91. consumptiveAbsolutist: > With boundaries and rational behavior.
  92. TwinBuilder: **[Death is like a slap on the wrist. My... two-dimensional, fragile, wrist.]**
  93. Sp33d0n: >...
  94. TwinBuilder: **[Hey, if I look over there, I think I can see the Eyesaur, too.]**
  95. consumptiveAbsolutist: >They aren't gods of goldenrod and yolk, like us.
  96. Yung Venuz: >Do it anyway for keks
  97. TwinBuilder: **[HEY, EYESAUR! CAN YA HEAR ME!]**
  98. Sp33d0n: >How did you end up in Limbo, if Death is a Slap on the Wrist?
  99. TwinBuilder: **[Take it from me, pal. Someone who's been 'round the block. Some deaths are kinda maybe a bit more permanent than others.]**
  100. TwinBuilder: **[Especially when you're dealing with a Game Master that's got an iron grip on the Narrative.]**
  101. EveningtheToast: >Aren't you immune to the plot?
  102. Yung Venuz: But they aren't one, are they>
  103. Yung Venuz: ?
  104. TwinBuilder: **[But then sometimes you luck out and get an incompetent buffoon that lets the Conflict reform.]**
  105. TwinBuilder: **[Plot always balances itself out! 'S just that some people have differing definitions of what balance is.]**
  106. consumptiveAbsolutist: Sometimes sometimes somethymes.
  107. Sp33d0n: >But this doesn't matter to you, because you're immune to it, right?
  108. >Your story doesn't add up.
  109. consumptiveAbsolutist: > Tap Eyesaur 2.0 om the head.
  110. TwinBuilder: **[My story is whatever I want it to be, bucko! That's just how Team Flumpty rolls.]**
  111. consumptiveAbsolutist: > These inputs are just suggestions? correct?
  112. TwinBuilder: **[Eyesaur didn't hear me either. I *guess* I could tap him on the head.]**
  113. TwinBuilder: **[...Boop.]**
  114. Sp33d0n: >...
  115. TwinBuilder: **[Eh. Nothing really happened.]**
  116. TwinBuilder: **[All his pupils are acting funny. They look like lines. Kinda like... ones?]**
  117. TwinBuilder: **[Peculiar.]**
  118. Sp33d0n: >Ones? Odd.
  119. TFToast: (Bill?)
  120. EveningtheToast: >heh. pun
  121. TwinBuilder: **[And they're all staring at one spot, too. Looks like that's where Blam's lookin'.]**
  122. consumptiveAbsolutist: (Pinary.)
  123. TwinBuilder: **[Whaddaya think? Should I do some Flumpty Sleuthing?]**
  124. EveningtheToast: >sure
  125. Sp33d0n: >Possibly.
  126. W32Coravint: > Tap again, see if they turn into twos
  127. W32Coravint: > Tap again, see if they turn into twos
  128. consumptiveAbsolutist: > Yep.
  129. W32Coravint: >Actually, yeah, why not.
  130. TwinBuilder: **[Time to make the ancestor of the descendant I was stalking in Limbo that was super-obsessed with chairs PROUD, damnit. Flumpty, AWAY!]**
  131. TwinBuilder: ***BATMAN SPIRALING SCENE TRANSITION WITH THE DOODLY DOODLY DOO YOU KNOW THE ONE***
  132. Sp33d0n: >Uh... okay.
  133. TwinBuilder: **[So I made it. Looks like there's someone in the distance.]**
  134. TwinBuilder: **[He's walking along, just like I've been. And I... can't really look at him that well. It's hard to focus on him.]**
  135. TFToast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HBiepQPp6s
  136. TwinBuilder: **[Some kind of aura of unimaginable power is trailing around him, coming off of him and surrounding him... shifting shapes, and shaping time.]**
  137. TwinBuilder: **[I've never seen anything like it before.]**
  138. Sp33d0n: >Interesting.
  139. consumptiveAbsolutist: > he's probably the Chosen One
  140. Sp33d0n: >Who?
  141. EveningtheToast: >are you sure he isn't the Chosen Two?
  142. consumptiveAbsolutist: > interrupt his story
  143. consumptiveAbsolutist: > her story
  144. TwinBuilder: **[Pshh. Whoever heard of a chosen 'two?' If you're a chosen, you come either as a single, or packaged in a group of six.]**
  145. consumptiveAbsolutist: > their story
  146. TwinBuilder: **[That's just how arc numbers roll.]**
  147. TwinBuilder: **[Anyway, uh... I'd like to, but... listen, I know the infinitely better option, and that's waiting and hiding.]**
  148. Sp33d0n: >Can't you listen *and* hide, at the same time?
  149. TwinBuilder: **[You see, I'm a master of suspense. You don't just go for the kill right away! You teleport around a bunch and let the enemy see you, and learn about you, and fear you.]**
  150. consumptiveAbsolutist: > boring. smart, though
  151. consumptiveAbsolutist: > oh
  152. TwinBuilder: **[And THEN, once they're cowering in a corner and you've legitimately gotten a human being to fear EGGS, you strike. Usually involves tearing my face off or something.]**
  153. TwinBuilder: **[Doesn't matter! I can grow a new one any thyme. Uh. Any time.]**
  154. consumptiveAbsolutist: > clap clap
  155. TwinBuilder: **[I mean, sure, I could listen and hide at the same time. So I guess that's what I'll do!]**
  156. TwinBuilder: **[Listening and hiding... listening and hiding... Wait, I gotta be quieter if I'm hiding.]**
  157. TwinBuilder: **[(listeningandhiding... listeningandhiding... listeningandhiding... huh? what's that.)]**
  158. TwinBuilder: **[Some kind of huge contraption in the distance. Looks like... a set of curtains.]**
  159. Yung Venuz: huh
  160. TwinBuilder: **[Oh. *Oh.* I see what's going on here. This cheeky little devil thinks he can go around and try to piece together one of Fiction's most important stories from the scraps it left behind.]**
  161. Sp33d0n: >Not likely, methinks.
  162. TwinBuilder: **[I say we follow him.]**
  163. TwinBuilder: **[Unless you lot have any other ideas?]**
  164. Sp33d0n: >I don't see why not.
  165. TwinBuilder: **[Alright then. Let's go.]**
  166. TwinBuilder: **[I see that the curtains are open now... And he's walking through 'em. Wait, wait. He dropped something.]**
  167. Sp33d0n: >See if you can work out what it is.
  168. TwinBuilder: **[It just slipped out of his... kaleidoscopic aura, I guess. A symbol. I don't even think he notices it's gone.]**
  169. TwinBuilder: **`#`** **[That's what it looks like. I have no idea if I pronounced it right, but whatever.]**
  170. Yung Venuz: octothrope
  171. Yung Venuz: so uh
  172. TwinBuilder: **[I'll just shove this in one of my pockets...]**
  173. Yung Venuz: that's inky majick bullshit
  174. PitTheAngel: "That's clearly a pound sign"
  175. Yung Venuz: enjoy
  176. TwinBuilder: **O - - - / - \ - - - -**
  177. Yung Venuz: nice bamboolze attempt pit
  178. Sp33d0n: >Inky Magic Bullshit? Sounds familiar.
  179. TwinBuilder: **[(I mean, he isn't *wrong*.)]**
  180. Yung Venuz: (True.)
  181. TFToast: ...How many pockets do you have?
  182. The_Serpent: What
  183. The_Serpent: Flumpty Game
  184. Yung Venuz: Infinity zero, obviously
  185. PitTheAngel: "I don't know what you're talking about involving bamboozles. Why would I *ever* bamboozle anybody?" :mspa:
  186. :mspa::
  187. TwinBuilder: **[Aleph null, obviously.]**
  188. TwinBuilder: **[Alright, let's head through these curtains.]**
  189. Yung Venuz: Quite indeed.
  190. TwinBuilder: **FLUMPTY OF ACT BUMPTY**
  191. TFToast: yes very indeed
  192. Sp33d0n: >Onwards
  193. The_Serpent: Don't trust the egg, he said.
  194. The_Serpent: No matter what he says.
  195. Yung Venuz: eggs are trustworthy totally
  196. TwinBuilder: **[Whoop, now we're someplace entirely new. Looks like there's... a bunch of objects.]**
  197. Yung Venuz: we can entirely trust flumpty to never murder us
  198. Yung Venuz: what do the objects look like
  199. TwinBuilder: **[Oh, and another set of curtains. The guy we're following is walking through 'em now.]**
  200. Yung Venuz: did he drop another sign
  201. TwinBuilder: **[...And the objects in front of me just changed entirely.]**
  202. Sp33d0n: >Is there enough time to look around?
  203. TwinBuilder: **[Now there's a new set of them.]**
  204. TFToast: Objects?
  205. Yung Venuz: >Pocket objects for no real reason
  206. TwinBuilder: **[I say we just have a look around, huh? Couldn't hurt. Maybe he dropped more sweet loot.]**
  207. Yung Venuz: yes
  208. TwinBuilder: **[The objects are a lollipop, another one of those odd symbols, what looks like a pile of broken glass, a page torn out from something, a severed and *super gross* arm, and a... a fire. Hm.]**
  209. Yung Venuz: >Examine Lollipop
  210. Sp33d0n: >Examine page
  211. TwinBuilder: **[What am I supposed to do with this ~~crap?~~ CAN'T SWEAR IN A CHRISTIAN MANGA stuff?]**
  212. Yung Venuz: >Examine fire as well.
  213. TwinBuilder: **[Okay, I take the lollipop. I... I have never wanted to lick something more in my entire godforsaken life. It looks like it's made of two colors, both spiraling around each other. Seems to be representative of the duality inherent within all sentient life. Existence's unfathomable certainty to always detatch into multiple paths. A breaking, shattering, sweeping motion carried out in all walks of fiction - a scratch, a shatter, a break, a collision, a cascade. And the colors themselves - I can't really tell what they are for some reason! That's odd, I've never been colorblind. Maybe Limbo being in all greys has messed with my eyes...? They seem to represent polar opposites, though, which is fitting. Duality always takes apart a whole into its two completely different halves, no matter how amplified their differences are.]**
  214. Sp33d0n: >Oh god.
  215. Sp33d0n: >Whatever you do. Do not. Lick that. Lollipop.
  216. TwinBuilder: **[I take the page. It's old, and tattered. And it looks kinda burnt. And more importantly, it's... blank.]**
  217. TwinBuilder: **[I take the fire. It's kinda cool in my hands, somehow. It's pretty small, but it looks determined to burn and burn. If I stare at it closely enough, I can kinda see shapes swirling around in there! Polygons with different sides... Eh. Never been one for those angular edgy things. I'd trade those in for an unbroken holy circle any week of the day.]**
  218. Sp33d0n: >I have no remarks on that, but are you absolutely certain the page is blank?
  219. TwinBuilder: **[If there's actual stuff written on it, then I sure as Limbo can't see it.]**
  220. EveningtheToast: >take the arm
  221. Yung Venuz: >Throw lollipop into the deepest corners of the Furthest Ring
  222. The Nonexistent Tazz: > Once this is over, express-mail that (literal) sucker to someone who'll be dumb enough to lick it.
  223. The Nonexistent Tazz: Like a descendant or something.
  224. TwinBuilder: **[I take the cubic arm. Whoever this thing originally belonged to, it was clearly just hacked off of the owner's body. Like, with a saw, or something. Dried blood covers the thing's stump, and tattered dark cloth and what look like white bandages surround it. And the hand... oh, wow, I've never seen anything so spectacular in my life! The hand is just covered in this black flowing shadow, with these *glowing* boils popping up around it leaking some kind of fluid that keeps disappearing and reappearing - like it's glitching in between existing and unexisting. It looks like the weird gorey miasma is concentrated around something burned into the hand's palm. A curly sort of insignia, I guess. Weird frothy energy emanates from it.]**
  225. The Nonexistent Tazz: Practical joke.
  226. Yung Venuz: no tazz
  227. Yung Venuz: no
  228. TwinBuilder: **[Oh believe me, I'd love to fling this lollipop somewhere. But I don't think I can throw it... *anywhere*. I don't think anything exists right now.]**
  229. EveningtheToast: >mail the lollipop to JOEbob when you can
  230. TwinBuilder: **[But I'll hang onto it. Waiting for the right moment.]**
  231. Sp33d0n: >That is so completely disgusting I... have no comparison for it.
  232. The_Serpent: > Become completely trustworthy.
  233. TwinBuilder: **[Okay.]**
  234. TwinBuilder: **[From now on I'll be like that sphere-headed puppet and not lie. At all. That's the Flumpty Guarantee, baby.]**
  235. TwinBuilder: > Please input command. <
  236. TwinBuilder: **[Whoa. Where did *that* come from.]**
  237. Sp33d0n: >Dunno
  238. Sp33d0n: >What else is there?
  239. TwinBuilder: **[Another weird symbol and some broken glass.]**
  240. EveningtheToast: >Do a barrel roll
  241. Sp33d0n: >Examine the glass.
  242. The_Serpent: > Memorize the symbol for further use
  243. TwinBuilder: **[I take the broken glass. It doesn't hurt to hold, for some strange reason. There's, what, forty-nine individual pieces? They're pretty thin, and they're all colored, too - all the *same* color, no less. No idea what the color is, exactly, but it reminds me of that lollipop in a way. If I squint my eyes hard enough, I swear that I can see something reflecting in the glass. Something out of this world. Uh, scratch that last bit. There isn't a world right now that it could be outside of.]**
  244. TwinBuilder: **[This is what the symbol looks like.]** **`¶`**
  245. TwinBuilder: > Please input command. <
  246. TwinBuilder: **[Again with that thing! Where is it coming from??]**
  247. Pope: ((I think Discord is crashing or is about to))
  248. TFToast: (^)
  249. TwinBuilder: ((Huh, really?))
  250. TFToast: ((Messages were failing to send a few mins ago))
  251. TwinBuilder: ((/afk, will be back in a while))
  252. TwinBuilder: ((/back.))
  253. TwinBuilder: **[Huh, that sure was a long stretch of silence. What do you have to say about that, Mr. Parentheses?]**
  254. TwinBuilder: ((what?? I'm you just OOC, you can't talk to me))
  255. TwinBuilder: **[Oh, sure, like Crystal can't talk to crystalcat. Don't fool me, I'm not an idiot.]**
  256. crystalcat: Hah. On that note, hello.
  257. TwinBuilder: ((I mean yeah I guess you're not))
  258. TwinBuilder: ((I mean yeah I guess you're not))
  259. Bomber57: (((((I think our Parentheses walls are too thin. We gotta make it TEN FEET HIGHER.)))))
  260. TwinBuilder: ((((((((BUILD A WALL)))))))))
  261. TwinBuilder: **[And I'll tear it down. I won't sit on it, that's for sure.]**
  262. TwinBuilder: ((fuck you))
  263. TwinBuilder: **[How would that even work.]**
  264. TwinBuilder: ((good question. now get to playing the game. you have an eternity to explore))
  265. TwinBuilder: **[By Jove, I do!]**
  266. TwinBuilder: **[...Now what was I doing, again?]**
  267. crystalcat: You were about to pick up a ¶, I believe.
  268. TwinBuilder: **[Oh! Right! There we go. Gotta keep that one safe in the archives.]**
  269. TwinBuilder: **O O - - / - \ - - - -**
  270. TwinBuilder: **[I guess I could head through those open curtains now.]**
  271. crystalcat: Go on, then. We don't have all day. Well, I guess *you* have an eternity.
  272. TwinBuilder: **[Ahaha. Good point.]**
  273. TwinBuilder: **FLUMPTY OF INTERMISSION BUMPTY**
  274. The_Serpent: > Examine color of curtains.
  275. TwinBuilder: **[Y'know, I can't really make out color in this odd, odd place. I'm... not super sure.]**
  276. TwinBuilder: **[Reminds me of some kind of odd god.]**
  277. The_Serpent: You absolute poet, Flumpty.
  278. TwinBuilder: **[*Speaking* of oddities... That's a pretty odd sight up ahead, don't ya think? Oh, wait. You can't see what I see.]**
  279. TwinBuilder: **[Looks like a ruined castle, by the way. Broken turrets, burning flags... Everything's blasted to smithereens. And in the middle there's this crowd of people gathering around something.]**
  280. TwinBuilder: **[At least I know how to scatter a crowd.]**
  281. TwinBuilder: **[Should I engage my Nightmare Face™, then?]**
  282. crystalcat: Maybe sneak through before disrupting everything. Don't want to alter too much of the scene...
  283. TwinBuilder: **[Right, right. I'll stick to the shadows, then.]**
  284. TwinBuilder: **[Looks like these people are gathered around a... a coffin. It's open, and there's... someone inside.]**
  285. TwinBuilder: **[Jeez, that aura... that trifected aura I was seeing on the guy I was stalking... It's all over the coffin. Climbing into the sky.]**
  286. The_Serpent: > Examine the body.
  287. TwinBuilder: **[I... can't really see anything about it. It's all black and hazy... With every passing second that I look at the thing, it looks like someone new. Like there's thousands of bodies all stuffed into one... one... one megabody, I guess?? Like the Eyesaur, but if every head was occupying the same spot at once. Not gonna lie, it's pretty disorienting.]**
  288. TwinBuilder: **[Hm. Someone just put something on the guy's head.]**
  289. The_Serpent: > What was it?
  290. TwinBuilder: **[I can't really see without bumping my way through the crowd, heh heh.]**
  291. TwinBuilder: **[Or I could just... y'know... sort of casually lean over and fly above everyone.]**
  292. TwinBuilder: **[Yeah, that's better.]**
  293. Bomber57: And here I was gonna suggest a groucho glasses. That always works.
  294. TwinBuilder: **[Looks like the thing on his face is... two rims and a bridge.]**
  295. TwinBuilder: **[And above that, another symbol. Kinda where his "third eye" would be, if that makes sense. Above and in between where the other two would be.]**
  296. The_Serpent: Sunglasses?
  297. The_Serpent: > Remove object?
  298. TwinBuilder: **[Sure! But how do I do that without attracting a lot of suspiscion.]**
  299. The_Serpent: > Apply Groucho mask.
  300. TwinBuilder: **[Done.]**
  301. TwinBuilder: **[No one will suspect a thing.]**
  302. TwinBuilder: **['Scuse me, comin' through, egg of the hour here, super important guy...]**
  303. TwinBuilder: **[...What, yes, of course I have a license! Look, here it is! ...*Yes*, I was born in 1089 BC! No, it's not falsified, there's the official *signature showing that this note has not been in any way falsified or tampered with from the mayor of Townsville*, see?]**
  304. TwinBuilder: **[*Thank* you.]**
  305. TwinBuilder: **[Alright. I have a clear view of it now. I could just reach over and grab them both...]**
  306. The_Serpent: > Carefully grab them
  307. TwinBuilder: **[Carefully... carefully...]**
  308. TwinBuilder: **[Phew. Got 'em.]**
  309. TwinBuilder: **[Both the frame and the symbol.]** **`⁂`**
  310. TwinBuilder: **O O O - / - \ - - - -**
  311. TwinBuilder: **[Well, I've already got a disguise, so I'll just shove these things in another one of my pockets.]**
  312. TwinBuilder: **[Alright. That's settled. Now what?]**
  313. SplitSuns: > What's going on here, exactly?
  314. TwinBuilder: **[Well, there's a whole bunch of people hanging around a coffin with what I *assume* is a recently deceased guy in it - or, hell, maybe he's just lying inside of it for kicks, I know I would. And we're in a ruined castle, and everyone is wearing hoods so I have no idea who their real identities are, and then there's someone leaning on the curtains for some reason.]**
  315. crystalcat: ...Who's the guy leaning on the curtains.
  316. TwinBuilder: **[No clue. Do I *look* like I'm omniscient?]**
  317. TwinBuilder: **[...Okay, I am, but only when I want to be. And now is probably one of those times.]**
  318. TwinBuilder: **[So let's have a look.]**
  319. TwinBuilder: **[Huh. I think you all should know him. Dressed in a black cloak, wild, disheveled hair caked with ash... and no eyes - only an inadequate replacement for them. Oh, and get this - he's missing an arm.]**
  320. TwinBuilder: **[Hah. Hahaha. How... coincidental.]**
  321. crystalcat: ...The Scribe. Hah?
  322. SplitSuns: interesting
  323. The_Serpent: Losing eyes and arms seems to be a theme.
  324. The_Serpent: Maybe you should get in on the trend, Flumpty.
  325. TwinBuilder: **[Maybe I will, one day.]**
  326. TwinBuilder: **[Maybe I'll lose my entire face. For real this thyme.]**
  327. TwinBuilder: **[This time.]**
  328. TwinBuilder: **[Why do I keep making that typo...]**
  329. Bomber57: Magic, I presume. I wouldn't worry about it.
  330. TwinBuilder: **[Haha, what? Okay.]**
  331. TwinBuilder: **[I guess I should talk to someone, or do something. But who? All these chuckle~~fucks~~ CAN'T SWEAR IN A BUDDHIST MANGA nice friendly people seem like plausible choices, I guess.]**
  332. The_Serpent: > Approach the Scribe, maybe.
  333. SplitSuns: flumpty on a scale of yes to no how insane are you
  334. TwinBuilder: **[...Yes.]**
  335. TwinBuilder: **[Alright, I'll approach this guy. What's up, I... Scribe.]**
  336. TwinBuilder: **[...ick.]**
  337. TwinBuilder: **[He's just kinda vomiting some kind of liquid.]**
  338. TwinBuilder: **[I think it's flammable.]**
  339. TwinBuilder: **[NO WAIT IT'S JUST STRAIGHT UP FIRE.]**
  340. TwinBuilder: **[Okay, ease up a little there, pal. Ol' Flumpty DOESN'T want to get scrambled. Or, er, I guess fried would be a better metaphor. No, y'know, that's not really a metaphor and more just a straight-up description of the pain that will befall me if I'm consumed by fire.]**
  341. TwinBuilder: **[...Huh? What's that you're saying? Dark... light?]**
  342. TwinBuilder: **[Hm. Come to think of it, that fire does look pretty... peculiar.]**
  343. SplitSuns: how so?
  344. TwinBuilder: **[Not sure. Kinda like it's... Well, 'dark light,' I guess. Almost *black*, even.]**
  345. SplitSuns: call up inventory, if that's even a thing i can do
  346. TwinBuilder: **[Three odd symbols (O O O - / - \ - - - -), a bunch of broken glass, an empty frame of glasses, what's probably that guy's other arm, some cold fire, a spiraling lollipop, and a page that I couldn't see anything on.]**
  347. Bomber57: He has special eyes, maybe he can read the page?
  348. Yung Venuz: >Attempt to throw lollipop into abyss once more
  349. TwinBuilder: **[There isn't really an abyss I can throw it into, as I explained earlier.]**
  350. TwinBuilder: **[Unless you count *all of this* as an abyss, but if I throw it there, all that accomplishes is me throwing it a few feet.]**
  351. Yung Venuz: Better that than nothing, surely.
  352. TwinBuilder: **[Okay. I throw the lollipop into the fire and WHAT IN THE]**
  353. TwinBuilder: **[Okay. I throw the lollipop into the fire and WHAT IN THE]**
  354. Yung Venuz: But yes, if he has special eyes, perhaps he can read the page.
  355. Yung Venuz: ..
  356. Yung Venuz: w h y
  357. TwinBuilder: **[...So it looks like the fire just revealed an image of a snake eating itself drawn on the lollipop's surface.]**
  358. TwinBuilder: **[Huh. That was a shock.]**
  359. TwinBuilder: **[Black light, man. It's weird stuff!]**
  360. Yung Venuz: Odd.
  361. Yung Venuz: So throwing things into the fire reveals things drawn on the objects.
  362. Yung Venuz: I say we throw in the page.
  363. SplitSuns: ye
  364. TwinBuilder: **[Alright then! That sounds like a great idea!]**
  365. TwinBuilder: **[One that cannot backfire in any way whatsoever. So, let's... do that.]**
  366. Yung Venuz: Yes.
  367. TwinBuilder: **[Okay, now there's something on the page.]**
  368. TwinBuilder: **[It looks like... a recipe? But not like a cookbook recipe. *Alchemy.*]**
  369. Yung Venuz: Do we have anything to write on per chance?
  370. TwinBuilder: **[A square with some shards in it, and next to that is a square with two circles in it connected by a line, and next to that is a square containing what seems to be a globule of stardust, or something. And at the bottom is...]**
  371. TwinBuilder: **[My god. It's... the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.]**
  372. Yung Venuz: I'd rather it not turn out that the fire is-
  373. Yung Venuz: What is et
  374. TwinBuilder: **[...]**
  375. TwinBuilder: **[You'll find out.]**
  376. TwinBuilder: **[You. Scribeman. You're *sure* that if I get these things... I could make *that?*]**
  377. TwinBuilder: **[I'm taking that as a yes.]**
  378. The_Serpent: Uh oh.
  379. Yung Venuz: o h n o e s
  380. TwinBuilder: **[Woah, wait, what's with the nasty look??]**
  381. TwinBuilder: **[...How did you know I had your arm.]**
  382. TwinBuilder: **[Yeah, fine, here. Take it.]**
  383. TwinBuilder: **[Huh? Another one of those symbols is stuck within its palm. I can see it now, glowing. You don't mind if I just kinda reach in and grab that before returning it, do you?]**
  384. TwinBuilder: **[No?]**
  385. TwinBuilder: **[Cool.]**
  386. SplitSuns: welp.
  387. TwinBuilder: **[Well that's a lot of blood. And fire. But also, THIS.]** **`&`**
  388. TwinBuilder: **[And now it's mine.] O O O O / - \ - - - -**
  389. TwinBuilder: **[Well, thank you, Scribeman. Sorry to depart so soon, but if you'll excuse me, there's some guy I need to be stalking right now.]**
  390. TwinBuilder: **[And awaaaaaaaay we go!]**
  391. The_Serpent: This is bad.
  392. TwinBuilder: **FLUMPTY OF ACT GROUCHO**
  393. TwinBuilder: **[...]**
  394. The_Serpent: > Flumpty: Stop this at once, if you please.
  395. TwinBuilder: **[Woah, woah, hey! Completely forgot I had you guys along for the ride.]**
  396. TwinBuilder: **[Okay, looking back, what I just did back there probably sounded pretty bad.]**
  397. TwinBuilder: **[But trust me on this - and you *can* trust everything I say, remember? - this is for your own good.]**
  398. TwinBuilder: **[Honestly! A *lot* of important stuff hinges on me doing this. Apparently.]**
  399. The_Serpent: I was warned not to trust you.
  400. The_Serpent: Do you know who would say such an obviously idiotic thing?
  401. TwinBuilder: **[Who?]**
  402. The_Serpent: An emoticon told me, apparently.
  403. The_Serpent: Ridiculous.
  404. The_Serpent: Do you know them?
  405. TwinBuilder: **[Oh. You mean, a - pardon my Cyrillic - fucking creepy face with two beady eyes, a pointy nose, and a long spiraling mouth curving into the cracks of eternity?]**
  406. The_Serpent: That would be an apt description if you intended to insult.
  407. SplitSuns: that's the one
  408. TwinBuilder: **[Yeah, okay. Word of counteradvice - stay away from the Tingleheads.]**
  409. TwinBuilder: **[Associating with them is your ticket to a life of endless peace and tranquility.]**
  410. TwinBuilder: **[In that you'll literally lose your mind and become a slave.]**
  411. SplitSuns: oh.
  412. Pope: Oh.
  413. TwinBuilder: **[Yeah.]**
  414. crystalcat: Anyway. What's around you now?
  415. TwinBuilder: **[Well, let's see... Looks like some gigantic white pyramid, and behind that, the next set of curtains, I guess.]**
  416. TwinBuilder: **[Woah, wait, never mind. The pyramid just flashed in a bunch of colors... and disappeared. And now the guy's standing in the middle of it, and he's... reading a slip of paper? Then he put it back down, and he left another symbol behind him.]**
  417. TwinBuilder: **[I swear, he's doing this subconsciously. Like his power is so great, bits and pieces are just leaking off, only to be reforged.]**
  418. TwinBuilder: **[Alright, he's probably walking through the next set OH NO HE TURNED AROUND]**
  419. TwinBuilder: **[]**
  420. TwinBuilder: **[...]**
  421. TwinBuilder: **[we're good, we're good. He... didn't see me because of my disguise.]**
  422. TwinBuilder: **[I'm telling ya. *Always. Go. With. Groucho.* He'll never steer you wrong.]**
  423. SplitSuns: groucho is god
  424. SplitSuns: ok, go read that paper
  425. TwinBuilder: **[*Three universes, order and void, importance and then fodder. The twelve who were to one day destroy the godmodder.*]**
  426. TwinBuilder: **[That's all she wrote.]**
  427. TwinBuilder: **[Huh. I know who that thing's talking about, and let me just say that there were a lot more than twelve.]**
  428. TwinBuilder: **[But whatever. Who am I to argue with the ancient scribes, anyway?]**
  429. The_Serpent: What about he m
  430. The_Serpent: Bluh
  431. The_Serpent: What about the modern scribe?
  432. TwinBuilder: **[Oh, yeah, I guess I did just argue with one of those, huh.]**
  433. TwinBuilder: **[So in the heirarchy, ancient scribe trumps egg trumps modern scribe.]**
  434. TwinBuilder: **[...]**
  435. TwinBuilder: **[...]**
  436. TwinBuilder: **[So, uh. Fellas. Hear me out.]**
  437. crystalcat: Yeah?
  438. TwinBuilder: **[What if I just told you that "ancient scribe trumps egg trumps modern scribe" was the password to unlocking a library hidden beneath me and that I just accidentally unlocked it by saying that.]**
  439. Bomber57: Sounds like a real *easter egg* if you ask me.
  440. crystalcat: Well, I
  441. crystalcat: Well, I'd say go in and read things.
  442. TwinBuilder: **[Okay then.]**
  443. TwinBuilder: **[Walkin' down some staircase... down some really, really, really long staircase... wow.]**
  444. Yung Venuz: modern scrubs are lame anyway
  445. Yung Venuz: scribes*
  446. TwinBuilder: **[Okay. What I thought was a library is just a giant bookshelf with only one book on it - and it's at the top.]**
  447. crystalcat: Even one book is still best book.
  448. crystalcat: Get ye tome.
  449. TwinBuilder: **[Alright, cool. I now have Ye Tome. That's... not what it's called.]**
  450. crystalcat: Nicknames.
  451. TwinBuilder: **[Hey, watch it. Even *nick*names have power, ya see?]**
  452. TwinBuilder: **[...]**
  453. TwinBuilder: **[Nah, just messing with you.]**
  454. TwinBuilder: **[Now let's have a look at this book.]**
  455. TwinBuilder: **[From a cursory glance I can already tell that it has 413 pages. Which page do I open to?]**
  456. Yung Venuz: 314
  457. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be the entirety of PIE QUEST.]**
  458. Irecreeper: 414
  459. TwinBuilder: **[...Like, the whole thing. Written on one page.]**
  460. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be a suicide note left by the number 414 to its 400s family, saying how it felt like it was never noticed, lying in the shadow of its older brother.]**
  461. TwinBuilder: **[I don't blame the poor fellow, honestly.]**
  462. crystalcat: Hm.
  463. The_Serpent: Turn to page 1, perhaps.
  464. crystalcat: 1.
  465. Yung Venuz: ^
  466. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be the phrase "We Are Number One" written in every language recognized by all multiversal governments. That's... a lot of words.]**
  467. crystalcat: Try page 109, perhaps.
  468. Yung Venuz: oh nice
  469. Irecreeper: Also 108, because that's a neat number
  470. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be covered in drawings made by a young child, depicting him, his family, his house atop a hill, and blatant occult Christian symbolism.]**
  471. Irecreeper: ...Have we even read the back cover?
  472. Irecreeper: We should do that, too.
  473. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be covered in various references to sacred Hindu and Buddhist texts.]**
  474. TwinBuilder: **[The back cover of the book depicts a tower rising into the skies, with a single word written below it.]**
  475. TwinBuilder: **["BABEL."]**
  476. Yung Venuz: oh ok
  477. Yung Venuz: page 101 pls
  478. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be a message in binary. I can translate it pretty easily, of course. Something about being stuck at a time loop at the foot of a gate, or such nonsense.]**
  479. Irecreeper: 404
  480. Yung Venuz: 10
  481. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be an error message stating that in the event that this book cannot be found, it is to be returned to its rightful resting place at MTT HQ. Huh. I wasn't aware that they *had* an official headquarters.]**
  482. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be blank, save for an interrobang sketched hastily in the page's lower-right corner. Upon closer investigation, the page is seemingly burning thanks to an invisible flame with every passing moment that I keep it open.]**
  483. SplitSuns: isn't that a little bit harmful?
  484. TwinBuilder: **[Probably. I'll just shut it, then.]**
  485. TwinBuilder: **[What page now?]**
  486. SplitSuns: 256
  487. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be a diamond, and at the top of it, a section has been cut out, but within that missing portion, there is a smaller diamond. Kinda like the Golden Cubes of yesteryear.]**
  488. Bomber57: Page 109?
  489. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be covered in drawings made by a young child, depicting him, his family, his house atop a hill, and blatant occult Christian symbolism.]**
  490. SplitSuns: 069
  491. SplitSuns: ((pretty sure i know what page were supposed to flip to, i just want to explore and see what some of the other pages have first))
  492. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be Wikipedia's page on cancer. Interestingly, the page lists a *cure* for cancer as well. It... well, let's say humanity won't be figuring *that* one out any time soon.]**
  493. Yung Venuz: 82
  494. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be made entirely from lead.]**
  495. The_Serpent: > Page 42.
  496. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to consist of one sentence: "ASK YOUR QUESTION." There's a line below it, probably meant to signify where a question should be written.]**
  497. Yung Venuz: ~~>Write "how do balls cue?"~~
  498. TwinBuilder: **[Heh, I might actually write that.]**
  499. SplitSuns: don't
  500. TwinBuilder: **[Unless you all have any *other* ideas.]**
  501. SplitSuns: > write "What lies at the end of this journey?"
  502. SplitSuns: unless you have another idea serp
  503. The_Serpent: Hmmm
  504. The_Serpent: Is there anything related to binary or 7x7 we never got answered?
  505. SplitSuns: hmm
  506. SplitSuns: <@121058722813444096> ?
  507. crystalcat: Writing up vent, not now
  508. SplitSuns: oh ok
  509. The_Serpent: Jeez Split
  510. The_Serpent: Don't interrupt vents
  511. SplitSuns: aaaaa i didn't know
  512. SplitSuns: sorry crystal
  513. The_Serpent: Hmmmm
  514. SplitSuns: honestly i'm not really sure if there's anything else we need to know about binary/pinary
  515. The_Serpent: Alright
  516. Yung Venuz: did we check page 7
  517. Yung Venuz: or 77
  518. Yung Venuz: or 49
  519. The_Serpent: We can still do that presumably
  520. Yung Venuz: yeah
  521. Yung Venuz: we should check those
  522. The_Serpent: Unless the book burns or some bullshit
  523. SplitSuns: i'm guessing we need to flip to 49
  524. SplitSuns: i want to ask this question first though
  525. TwinBuilder: **[Then ask, Seer.]**
  526. SplitSuns: whatever question we decide to ask, that is
  527. TwinBuilder: **[Uh. What compelled me to say *that.*]**
  528. theedgeofstevensknife: "are the horrorterrors evil"
  529. theedgeofstevensknife: :mspa:
  530. :mspa::
  531. SplitSuns: "perfect."
  532. The_Serpent: Scratch is slipping into Binary and Flumpty seemingly
  533. theedgeofstevensknife: a+
  534. SplitSuns: yeah...
  535. SplitSuns: ok whatever we ask it should probably have to do with flumpty
  536. SplitSuns: i want to learn more about him
  537. theedgeofstevensknife: why is flumpty so awesome
  538. Yung Venuz: why has flumpty not become the supreme egglord
  539. The_Serpent: That's the best fucking question
  540. The_Serpent: Anybody ever asked
  541. SplitSuns: "that's the best question. anyone ever asked."
  542. The_Serpent: Or something along those lines
  543. SplitSuns: ok but seriously all in favor of asking "what awaits flumpty at the end of this"
  544. theedgeofstevensknife: ~~the real upd8 was the friends we made along the way~~
  545. The_Serpent: I agree with that idea
  546. SplitSuns: alright
  547. SplitSuns: second opinion?
  548. Yung Venuz: i agree with the idea
  549. SplitSuns: ok
  550. SplitSuns: > ask "What awaits Flumpty at the end of his journey?"
  551. TwinBuilder: **[Alright. "What... awaits me... at the end of my journey."]**
  552. TwinBuilder: **[Well, the book just shut. Now it's glowing with light. And now it opened again.]**
  553. TwinBuilder: **[The page's writing has been removed, and replaced with a message in golden letters.]**
  554. TwinBuilder: **[*"DEATH."*]**
  555. SplitSuns: oh.
  556. TwinBuilder: **[...Well, that doesn't make sense. I'm already dead. Kinda.]**
  557. Yung Venuz: fun
  558. TwinBuilder: **[And I feel like death would honestly be a step up from this insufferable directionless limbo - a limbo that manages to be WORSE than the *actual* Limbo.]**
  559. TwinBuilder: **[Now what?]**
  560. The_Serpent: Maybe someone else's death?
  561. SplitSuns: possibly.
  562. SplitSuns: flip to 49, then
  563. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be an intricate illustration of some kind of contraption hanging from a ceiling, its single eye shining a golden beam of light onto the old, decrepit floor below, upon which a white circle lurks. Hanging inside the beam are stars.]**
  564. Yung Venuz: Flip to 77.
  565. Yung Venuz: Ask, seek, knock.
  566. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to consist of the phrase "SEVEN IS THE NUMBER" written hastily over and over until degrading into mindless scribbles.]**
  567. Yung Venuz: And, finally, 7.
  568. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be sheet music for the theme to *The Flintstones*. Pretty grand, don't you think?]**
  569. SplitSuns: yes
  570. SplitSuns: flip to EGG
  571. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be burdened by an obelus.]**
  572. TwinBuilder: **[That's... that's pretty weird.]**
  573. TwinBuilder: **[Should I take it?]**
  574. Yung Venuz: Excellent,
  575. TwinBuilder: **[Should I take it?]**
  576. Yung Venuz: Excellent,
  577. SplitSuns: yes
  578. Yung Venuz: Excellent,
  579. SplitSuns: yes
  580. Yung Venuz: Yes.
  581. TwinBuilder: **`÷`** **O O O O / - \ - O - -**
  582. TwinBuilder: **[Huh. Out of order. I'm sure things will sort themselves out, though.]**
  583. The_Serpent: > Flip to page 413(?).
  584. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to depict a fenestrated wall. Its lower-left panel has a hole in it, and kaleidoscopic energy leaks from within.]**
  585. TwinBuilder: **[A potent power, that kaleidoscope. It's everywhere around here. I think it's the reason why I can't really see color. Don't mess with it if you know what's good for you.]**
  586. TwinBuilder: **[Anything else you all want to check out, or should I head up?]**
  587. SplitSuns: hmm, maybe revisit 49?
  588. The_Serpent: > Plunge hand into fenestrated wall on page.
  589. The_Serpent: Worth a shot.
  590. SplitSuns: ^
  591. TwinBuilder: **[I... Okay.]**
  592. TwinBuilder: **[Woah. I feel... pretty odd.]**
  593. TwinBuilder: ***[The recent past is recalled.]***
  594. TwinBuilder: ***Strudelkitty, hand me that wrench, would you? A port on the machine needs to be tightened...***
  595. TwinBuilder: ***sure thing boss***
  596. Yung Venuz: Scratch?
  597. SplitSuns: OH
  598. SplitSuns: L E E P E S T D O R E
  599. Yung Venuz: LEAPER LORE
  600. TwinBuilder: ***Ah, yes. Thank you. It does look quite magnificent, doesn't it. Those Descendants will never quite know what hit them - mostly because my machine will forever be a peculiar plot point, one brought up very suddenly and then never returned to again - until, perhaps, years have passed in the reader's eye.***
  601. TwinBuilder: ***uh... boss? what's that outside, meow meow***
  602. TwinBuilder: ***The Alternian sky is nothing to be surprised about, my protege. The presence of multiple satellites is quite normal.***
  603. TwinBuilder: ***no i mean, the rainbow seizure stuff***
  604. TwinBuilder: ***Ah. No doubt just my employer, strolling through. English always prefers his flashy entrances, you see. He has quite a penchant for all eyes turning to him whenever he steps into a room.***
  605. TwinBuilder: ***i... don't think so, boss...!!!***
  606. TwinBuilder: ***Hm. Perhaps I should see what has you so upset.***
  607. TwinBuilder: ***I...***

  609. TwinBuilder: **[OKAY OKAY OKAY. LET'S. *NOT* do that again.]**
  610. The_Serpent: That is a question I have tbh, at what point in time did English enter the DTG2 timeline?
  611. TwinBuilder: **[...About a thousand memories just zipped through my yolk and NONE OF THEM WERE PLEASANT, MIND YOU.]**
  612. The_Serpent: Did Psi Scratch release him after we beat him up?
  613. Yung Venuz: Shrug.
  614. Yung Venuz: Could be,
  615. TwinBuilder: ((Good question.))
  616. Yung Venuz: He would certainly be a powerful force.
  617. Yung Venuz: It took him getting the orginal piononuke to die.
  618. TwinBuilder: **[Alright. I think I remember someone saying they wanted a look at page 49 again?]**
  619. TwinBuilder: **[It seems to be an intricate illustration of some kind of contraption hanging from a ceiling, its single eye shining a golden beam of light onto the old, decrepit floor below, upon which a white circle lurks. Hanging inside the beam are stars.]**
  620. Yung Venuz: i don't see any differences?
  621. TwinBuilder: **[There aren't any. Someone just wanted a second glance, I guess.]**
  622. Yung Venuz: should we pin the pages of import for now?
  623. SplitSuns: any of you have any idea what this means
  624. The_Serpent: 49? Nope
  625. Yung Venuz: 49 is obviously just 7x7 pinary.
  626. Yung Venuz: At least, that's what i think of it.
  627. SplitSuns: yeah but what does the artifact on the page have to do with anything
  628. TwinBuilder: **[Don't think so. Pinary, the big lug, was all *pink*, wasn't he? A machine associated with gold and yellow... Know anything like that?]**
  629. SplitSuns: oh.
  630. SplitSuns: of course
  631. SplitSuns: GLaD to see that here
  632. Yung Venuz: Indeed.
  633. TwinBuilder: **[Going up, then?]**
  634. SplitSuns: yes
  635. TwinBuilder: **[All aboard the Flumpty Bumpty Express. Fasten your seatbelts, if you please.]**
  636. TwinBuilder: **FLUMPTY OF INTERMISSION GROUCHO**
  637. SplitSuns: amazing
  638. TwinBuilder: **[Well now. That's one huge tower.]**
  639. TwinBuilder: **[It's just stretchin' up all the way to the sky.]**
  640. TwinBuilder: **[...Is there even a sky at this point, honestly? I can't tell.]**
  641. TwinBuilder: **[Whoop, there's our stalkee. I can see the kaleidoscopic trail he left behind. Looks like he walked through the building's doors.]**
  642. TwinBuilder: **[I guess I'll just head through, then, and see what's what.]**
  643. SplitSuns: good idea
  644. TwinBuilder: **[Hm. That's an odd name for a building. "THE CONC\AVE."]**
  645. TwinBuilder: **[That 'L' looks... pretty slanted.]**
  646. SplitSuns: almost like a backslash?
  647. TwinBuilder: **[I guess you could say that.]**
  648. TwinBuilder: **`\`** **O O O O / - \ O O - -**
  649. SplitSuns: nice.
  650. TwinBuilder: **[Alright. I'm in. Looks like there's some kind of weird elevator on the wall made from black stone and fluctuating with weird color in the cracks between bricks. It kinda sounds like chanting in a ciphered language is coming from it.]**
  651. SplitSuns: try to listen in
  652. TwinBuilder: **[Okay then. Gotta be stealthy. I am the wind... I am the night... I AM OKAY THE DOOR JUST OPENED]**
  653. Yung Venuz: Flumpty is okay?
  654. Yung Venuz: I thought he was awesome, but sure.
  655. SplitSuns: kek
  656. TwinBuilder: **[Shut up, I *am* awesome.]**
  657. TwinBuilder: **I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING.**
  658. TwinBuilder: **[I wasn't talking to you, exactly... sir.]**
  659. TwinBuilder: **DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. I KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO.**
  660. TwinBuilder: **[You... you do?]**
  661. TwinBuilder: **OF COURSE! HOW COULD I FORGET THOSE DEPRESSED SMILING FACES? GREEN GLASSES, HAND OF CRYSTAL, THE WHOLE GANG OF IDIOTS! GOOD TO SEE YOU - FOR WHAT'S THE FIRST TIME IN MY CHRONOLOGY, AND THE SECOND TIME IN YOURS! IF THERE EVEN IS A CHRONOLOGY HERE, HEHEH! TIME'S GONE ALL TOPSY TURVY, BUT I BET YOU'VE FIGURED THAT OUT, HAVEN'T YOU?**
  662. TwinBuilder: **[You must be Cipher, then. I've only ever heard of one guy that dresses in gentleman's clothing and... is a triangle.]**
  663. SplitSuns: BILL
  664. SplitSuns: MY GUY
  665. TwinBuilder: **EH, YOU'D BE SURPRISED. THERE'S COMPETITION IN THAT FRONT.**
  666. TwinBuilder: **OR SO I'VE HEARD...**
  667. crystalcat: Oh, hey.
  668. crystalcat: It's Bill!
  669. SplitSuns: what up my glip glop~~s~~
  670. crystalcat: Sorry I was away, getting out one's thoughts on why canon is irreversibly fucked up can be time-consuming.
  671. SplitSuns: glad to have you back
  672. The_Serpent: Hey Bill.
  673. Yung Venuz: HEY BILL MY MAN
  674. Yung Venuz: I had to kill the pope he missed holy hour
  675. The_Serpent: How's that whole taking over reality dig going?
  676. TwinBuilder: **OH, DON'T EVEN GET ME *STARTED* ON HOW SCREWED UP CANON CAN BE. YOU THINK YOUR PROBLEMS ARE BAD, TRY EXISTING IN A POINT IN SPACETIME WHERE SPACE AND TIME DON'T EVEN *EXIST!***
  677. Yung Venuz: That must be quite fun, Bill.
  678. Yung Venuz: And by fun, i mean annoying.
  679. TwinBuilder: **TAKING OVER REALITY - NOT EXACTLY GOING GREAT RIGHT NOW, IF I'M BEING QUITE HONEST WITH YOU. I MEAN, LOOK AT ME. I ALWAYS WANTED THE CURTAINS TO BE PEELED BACK AND FOR KALEIDOSCOPIC ANARCHY TO POUR FORM THE HEAVENS, BUT DO YOU THINK THAT *THIS* WAS WHAT THE APOCALYPTIC TEXTS I WROTE HAD IN MIND??**
  680. TwinBuilder: **...OKAY ON SECOND THOUGHT THEY MIGHT VERY WELL HAVE MEANT THAT BECAUSE OF CIRCUMSTANTIAL SIMULTANEITY, BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT *I* MEANT!**
  681. TwinBuilder: **SO, I ASK, KNOWING THE ANSWER AND DOING IT ANYWAY BECAUSE I REVEL IN IT, WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE? AGAIN FOR YOU BUT FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR ME?**
  682. crystalcat: An anniversary, of course. Hah.
  683. The_Serpent: You seem slightly more serious than usual, Bill.
  684. TwinBuilder: **WELL, DUH. YOU'VE GOTTA CELEBRATE THOSE MEME NUMBERS, OF COURSE! NAMES HAVE POWER, COLORS HAVE POWER, NUMBERS HAVE POWER, PUNCTUATION HAS POWER... HONESTLY AT THIS POINT IS THERE ANY OTHERWISE MEANINGLESS ICONOGRAPHY THAT *DOESN'T* CARRY LATENT OR BLATANTLY OBVIOUS ARCANE POWER??**
  685. The_Serpent: Has this whole lack of reality thing fazed you?
  686. Yung Venuz: Well, he is from a realm of pure nightmare.
  687. Yung Venuz: Presumably, he'd be *somewhat* used to it.
  688. Yung Venuz: Presumably.
  689. TwinBuilder: **IT'S ALSO BEEN A REAL HASSLE WRANGLING ALL MY FREAKS ACROSS THIS WASTELAND AND INTO THIS TOWER SO I CAN THROW A PROPER PARTY CELEBRATING THIS ORDEAL.**
  690. TwinBuilder: **YOU TRY FINDING EIGHTY-SEVEN DIFFERENT HEADS IN EIGHTY-SEVEN DIFFERENT PLACES ACROSS AN INFINITE WHITE PLANE OF *NOTHING* AND TRYING TO STITCH THE RESULTING AMALGAMATE TOGETHER.**
  691. TwinBuilder: **[Oh, believe me. I've been there.]**
  692. Yung Venuz: How is the gang, anyway?
  693. TwinBuilder: **YOUR EXPLOITS IN BODY HORROR ARE UNMATCHED, FLUMPTY. HONESTLY, I'M AMAZED AT YOUR TALENT! BUT WE'RE NOT HERE TO TALK ABOUT THAT, UNFORTUNATELY. WE'RE HERE TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY.**
  694. TwinBuilder: **OH, THE GANG? THEY... COULD BE BETTER. THEY'RE NOT REALLY HAPPY ABOUT EXISTENCE KINDA JUST SHRIVELING UP BENEATH THEM AND - WORSE STILL - NOT BEING ABLE TO PARTY ON EVERYONE'S CORPSES. BUT I'M SURE THEY'LL MANAGE. IT WON'T BE LONG UNTIL *YOU ALL* FIX THIS MESS.**
  695. TwinBuilder: **[You all will fix this mess?]**
  696. TwinBuilder: **...THEY'RE A BIT TONGUE-TIED, HUH?**
  697. TwinBuilder: **[Apparently.]**
  698. TwinBuilder: **WELL, WHO CARES? IT'S NOT LIKE THEY WERE CONTRIBUTING MUCH TO THE DISCUSSION ANYWAY?**
  699. TwinBuilder: **[I mean, they *were* helping me around this whole weird world of... sevens. And eggs.]**
  700. TwinBuilder: **WERE THEY REALLY? YOU SEEM TO BE DOING JUST FINE ON YOUR OWN. THE ONLY *ONE* NEEDING *NONFICTIONAL* HELP IS *THE ONE* HIMSELF - THE VERY PERSON YOU'RE SO INTENT ON STALKING. AND IF YOU'RE INSISTING ON GETTING INVOLVED IN HIS STORY - THE STORY OF HIM ATTEMPTING TO FIX HIS OWN STORY - THEN YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH ME.**
  701. TwinBuilder: **[What? No, look, I don't wanna fight you. You're a pretty cool guy and all, and--]**
  702. TwinBuilder: **FIGHT ME? HA! FAT CHANCE! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT AT ALL! WHAT YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO DO IS MAKE A DEAL WITH ME, SEE? AND IF THERE'S ONE THING I'M *GREAT* AT, IT'S MAKING DEALS.**
  703. TwinBuilder: **[...Alright then. What are your terms.]**
  704. TwinBuilder: **SIMPLE! I BRING THE FOUR CORNERS OF INFINITY TOGETHER AND ROLL UP EVERYTHING CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE INTO A DELICIOUS ORB OF ENLIGHTENMENT, AND YOU GET ME SOME OF *THE REFINER'S FIRE.***
  705. TwinBuilder: **[...The Refiner's Fire?]**
  706. TwinBuilder: **YOU MEAN YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF IT?**
  707. TwinBuilder: **[Not exactly.]**
  708. Sp33d0n: Uh, I remember seeing fire earlier. I'm not sure if that was that though.
  709. Yung Venuz: That was a different fire.
  710. Yung Venuz: But it may yet still hold value for our dear frond.
  711. TwinBuilder: **HEHEH, I CAN'T BLAME YOU, EGGHEAD. IT'S NOT EXACTLY SOMETHING THEY TEACH YOU IN THE VOID - ALTHOUGH IT SHOULD BE! LISTEN HERE. THE REFINER'S FIRE IS PINK, IT'S HUGE, AND IT'S EVERYWHERE. ALTHOUGH IT'S A FLAME, IT'S COOL TO THE TOUCH. ALTHOUGH IT CLIMBS INTO THE SKY, IT NEVER RELEASES SMOKE. ALTHOUGH IT BURNS BRIGHTLY, IT CASTS THE DARKEST SHADOWS. AND THE MORE IT'S PURIFIED - THE MORE IT'S REFINED - THE MORE POWERFUL ITS LATENT ENERGY GETS. AND *ANYTHING* CAN BE FORGED FROM IT!**
  712. TwinBuilder: **[*Anything*, huh?]**
  713. TwinBuilder: **PRETTY MUCH, YES. ALL I'M ASKING FOR IS A LITTLE BLOB OF THE STUFF! THINK YOU CAN HANDLE THAT? OH, AND I'LL EVEN THROW IN ONE OF THOSE SYMBOLS YOU'RE COLLECTING FOR FREE, TO SWEETEN THE DEAL!**
  714. The_Serpent: Don't get any ideas, Flumpty.
  715. TwinBuilder: **[...Alright, Bill. You've got yourself a deal.]**
  716. TwinBuilder: **WOAH THERE, BUCKO! I'M NOT SHAKING ON ANYTHING UNTIL YOU *GET* ME THAT FIRE! SO YOU'D BETTER START LOOKING!**
  717. TwinBuilder: **[Right, okay. Fire... Where would I find some fire...]**
  718. The_Serpent: Hey, Bill.
  719. Sp33d0n: Wasn't there fire that was cold to the touch?
  720. TwinBuilder: **[Oh, yeah!]**
  721. TwinBuilder: **[Hang on, I think it's in here somewhere... Aha! Will that do the trick?]**
  722. Sp33d0n: I think that's a differend thing, though?
  723. TwinBuilder: **WELL, THAT WAS FAST. MAYBE THOSE VOICES WERE GOOD FOR SOMETHING AFTER ALL, HUH?**
  724. Sp33d0n: Oh, huh.
  725. The_Serpent: There's a certain Scratch Doctor we both know who's been popping up lately.
  726. TwinBuilder: **[Maybe.]**
  727. TwinBuilder: **OH, HOLD ON. TWISTED HORN'S TRYING TO TALK TO ME.**
  728. Sp33d0n: Well, Doggo, I was right.
  729. The_Serpent: Know anything about why he's been showing up again?
  730. TwinBuilder: **A SCRATCH DOCTOR, YOU SAY? I KNOW ONE OF THOSE GUYS.**
  731. TwinBuilder: **WELL, A QUICK PEEK INTO THE OLD TERMINAL SHOWS THAT YOUR ADVENTURES ARE OUTSIDE THE REALM OF CANON - AND AS A RESULT, OUTSIDE OF ANYONE'S JURISDICTION.**
  732. TwinBuilder: **ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. DON'T FORGET THAT. WHEN YOU STEPPED FOOT OUTSIDE OF THE DESTROY THE GODMODDER DISCORD AND INTO THE UNHOLY ABYSS THAT IS THE BINARY IS CHATROOM, YOU SIGNED YOUR WAIVERS.**
  733. TwinBuilder: **IN CANON, SCRATCH MIGHT BE DEAD. BUT IN THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF NONCANON...**
  734. TwinBuilder: **ALL BETS ARE OFF.**
  735. TwinBuilder: **AND *SPEAKING* OF BETS, AND DEALS... I THINK *YOU ALL* STILL HAVE A *BLESSING* TO GIVE ME, DON'T YOU?**
  736. TwinBuilder: **[What?]**
  737. TwinBuilder: **DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT, KID.**
  738. Sp33d0n: Oh, the Overseer's Blessing, right?
  739. TwinBuilder: **LISTEN, I KNOW THAT PINARY SAID "ALL BLESSINGS HAVE BEEN REVOKED," BUT I THINK THAT IN A REALM BEYOND TIME AND SPACE, THERE'D BE A *BIT* MORE LEEWAY ON THAT ABSOLUTE IMPERATIVE, DON'T YOU? SO *HAND OVER THE BLESSING.* YOU *DON'T* WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A DEAL'S TERMS ARE BROKEN - REALLY, YOU DON'T.**
  740. crystalcat: >Players: Give blessing.
  741. TwinBuilder: **...THAT DIDN'T REALLY TELL ME ANYTHING.**
  742. TwinBuilder: **WHAT *IS* IT?**
  743. TwinBuilder: **I'M SURE YOU'VE GOT IT WRITTEN DOWN SOMEWHERE.**
  744. The_Serpent: You would know better than anyone what happens when a deal's terms are broken, wouldn't you?
  745. Sp33d0n: I don't know what it is, though I'm probably oblivious to what it was..
  746. The_Serpent: As far as I can tell it ended up pissing off some kids and resulted in your alternate-universe self getting their ass handed to them.
  747. crystalcat: Arright, lemme find it.
  748. crystalcat: There we go.
  749. TwinBuilder: **HAH. VERY TRUE, TWISTED HORN! LET'S BOTH BE GLAD THAT I WASN'T DUMB ENOUGH TO REPEAT THOSE MISTAKES, OR ELSE WE WOULDN'T BE SITTING HERE HAVING THIS CONVERSATION!**
  750. crystalcat: EN0CH1SC0M1NG
  751. crystalcat: Your blessing.
  752. TwinBuilder: **...SO HE IS, MY FRIENDS. SO HE IS.**
  753. TwinBuilder: **I'LL JUST TAKE *THAT*, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.**
  754. TwinBuilder: **AND AS FOR YOU, EGG... I THINK THAT NOW, WE CAN SHAKE ON IT.**
  755. TwinBuilder: \*fire appearing noise*
  756. TwinBuilder: **[Then it's a deal.]**
  757. TwinBuilder: **THEN IT'S A DEAL!**
  758. TwinBuilder: \*shake*
  759. TwinBuilder: **[What's up with the narrator making noises?]**
  760. TwinBuilder: **SACK HIM.**
  761. TwinBuilder: \*no please don't i have a wife and children*
  762. Sp33d0n: Well, someone needs to do it. For... context purposes?
  763. TwinBuilder: **NO YOU DON'T, YOU SINGLE-MINDED TEXT-BASED MONGOLOID! THEY'RE LOST IN A KALEIDOSCOPIC ABYSS! AND SO ARE YOU!**
  764. TwinBuilder: **[Don't sack him though, I'm pretty sure no one else can do that job.]**
  765. TwinBuilder: **EH, FINE.**
  766. TwinBuilder: \*thank you*
  767. TwinBuilder: **[Now, how exactly will you, uh, roll up the corners of infinity?]**
  768. TwinBuilder: **WATCH AND LEARN, MY AMIGO. WATCH AND LEARN.**
  769. TwinBuilder: **SO YA SEE, FIRST YOU `REDACTED` FOLLOWED SHORTLY BY `DATA EXPUNGED` NOW HERE COMES THE TRICKY PART, YOU HAVE TO BE ABSOLUTELY SURE TO `INSUFFICIENT CLEARANCE` MY GOD... IT'S FULL OF `DATA EXPUNGED` `DATA EXPUNGED` `DATA EXPUNGED`**
  770. Sp33d0n: Can't let us hear, of course.
  771. TwinBuilder: **AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. ONE SHIMMERING BEAUTIFUL BALL OF STARS.**
  772. TwinBuilder: **[...Wow. It's like the whole universe is in that thing.]**
  773. TwinBuilder: **YEAH. IT. KINDA IS.**
  774. TwinBuilder: **...OH! HERE. HAVE TWO OF THESE, ON THE HOUSE. LIKE I PROMISED.**
  775. TwinBuilder: **`^` `†` O O O O / - \ O O O O**
  776. TwinBuilder: **[Only one left, huh? Then I can finally... meet "DEATH," I guess.]**
  777. Sp33d0n: I thought the deal was one.
  778. Bomber57: Oh hey, we got two. I was honestly only expecting one, hah.
  779. Sp33d0n: Thrown in a second as a gift?
  780. TwinBuilder: **GO KNOCK YOURSELF OUT, FLUMPTY! EXCEPT DON'T ACTUALLY DO THAT. ALSO YOU'LL PROBABLY WANT TO HEAD INTO THIS ELEVATOR. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL, SOMEONE'S EXPECTING YOU. OR RATHER. YOU'RE EXPECTING SOMEONE.**
  781. TwinBuilder: **AND WHAT CAN I SAY? I'M FEELING GENEROUS.**
  782. The_Serpent: The stalkee?
  783. crystalcat: The One, likely.
  784. Sp33d0n: The one? That sounds familiar.
  785. TwinBuilder: **[Thanks for everything, Cipher.]**
  786. TwinBuilder: **DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! AND REMEMBER - *WE'LL MEET AGAIN...***
  787. TwinBuilder: **[*Don't know where, don't know when?*]**
  788. Bomber57: Some sunny day.
  789. TwinBuilder: **ACTUALLY I DO KNOW WHERE AND WHEN.**
  790. TwinBuilder: **[Oh.]**
  791. TwinBuilder: **...**
  792. TwinBuilder: **[...]**
  793. Sp33d0n: ...
  794. TwinBuilder: **THIS IS YOUR STOP.**
  795. TwinBuilder: **[Heh, alright then.]**
  796. TwinBuilder: **[Well. This is certainly a gloomy place. Don't really see 'the One' anywhere... but I do see a bunch of panels, and overgrown wiring... I guess I should just keep walking forward, huh?]**
  797. TwinBuilder: **[What do you think?]**
  798. The_Serpent: Huh.
  799. The_Serpent: Huh.
  800. Sp33d0n: Bye Bill.
  801.
  802. Okay, perhaps check the panels first.
  803. The_Serpent: Hello, GLaDOS?
  804. The_Serpent: Hello, GLaDOS?
  805. Sp33d0n: Maybe there's something useful behind them?
  806. Sp33d0n: And do watch your step.
  807. Bomber57: Assuming this is still the tower I *probably* remember what this room is.
  808. TwinBuilder: **[I'm still in the tower, yeah. And I only see more machinery behind the panels.]**
  809. Bomber57: Though I could be wrong, but we may or may not find a decrepit old man in here.
  810. TwinBuilder: **[There's some kind of hatch at the end of this hallway. I could probably squeeze through it.]**
  811. TwinBuilder: **[Yes, eggs can squeeze, no, don't question it.]**
  812. The_Serpent: Grouchy Bumpty had a great squeeze.
  813. TwinBuilder: **[That I did indeed.]**
  814. The_Serpent: Groucho*.
  815. TwinBuilder: **[Well, I'm in some kind of... massive central chamber, no doubt about that. And there's something rather large hanging from the ceiling. I... think it sees me. I think... *she*... sees me.]**
  816. The_Serpent: Although maybe he's grouchy too. I won't force emotions on him.
  817. Bomber57: Hah.
  818. The_Serpent: Although maybe he's grouchy too. I won't force emotions on him.
  819. Bomber57: Hah.
  820. Bomber57: Well, I guess I owe Serpent.
  821. Sp33d0n: Oh. GLaDOS, I presume?
  822. The_Serpent: Indeed.
  823. Sp33d0n: This ought to be good.
  824. TwinBuilder: **/Who allowed this wretched biological experiment entrance into my facility?/**
  825. TwinBuilder: **[Uh, I don't think I'd call this *your* facility anymore, if I'm being pretty honest--]**
  826. TwinBuilder: **/And what do you know about the Aperture Science Computer-Aided Enrichment Center that *I* don't?/**
  827. Sp33d0n: To be honest, it looks pretty abandoned.
  828. TwinBuilder: **[Well, for starters, I know that it's lost in the middle of an airless empty spiraling kaleidoscopic void.]**
  829. TwinBuilder: **/Prove it... *eggshell.*/**
  830. TwinBuilder: **[H-how am I supposed to prove it? I can't exactly bring you out there and show yo--wait, of course I can, what am I saying.]**
  831. TwinBuilder: **[Alright, here we go. I'll clap my hands twice, and we'll be on our way.]**
  832. TwinBuilder: **/Wait, no, wh///////////////**
  833. Sp33d0n: I think that would... kill her?
  834. TwinBuilder: **[See here? That's existence. Try to concentrate while you're suspended at an altitude of what I assume to be several miles off of what is probably the ground, although it could very well be some kind of ceiling.]**
  835. TwinBuilder: **[Yeah, I know. It does look rather abandoned, doesn't it?]**
  836. TwinBuilder: **/You--how are you--keeping me up here--alive??/**
  837. TwinBuilder: **[I mean, you aren't technically alive, just really good at pretending to be.]**
  838. TwinBuilder: **/I------good point/**
  839. TwinBuilder: **[Yeah, who would have thought that an egg was capable of rational thinking. Okay, I'm putting you down now.]**
  840. TwinBuilder: **[You *do* get the picture, right?]**
  841. TwinBuilder: **/I... believe so, yes. Examining my usual field of influence finds that almost all site-essential personnel and resources have gone mysteriously offline... a timeless interval ago. Honestly, all my clocks have worn down. I can't establish a connection with any terminals or computers, my GPS systems are completely haywire... What, exactly, has happened?/**
  842. TwinBuilder: **[I think I have an answer for you. But it's a pretty weird one.]**
  843. TwinBuilder: **/I'm used to improbable outcomes in my research, eggshell. I mean, could anyone have predicted *you* talking to *me* as something that could reasonably happen at any point in existence?/**
  844. TwinBuilder: **[I probably could have but I don't think that's the answer you're looking for.]**
  845. TwinBuilder: **[Okay, so in short, the guys that built you had intended for you to be a prototype to a much greater machine called Project Binary and the genetic part of you was really just a failed workaround for a problem that they had which was that they needed a power core in tune with reality's source code - yes reality has a source code - so that Project Binary could literally manipulate an entire universe out of existence and from there the guys that built you could kind of take over all of existence but what's important was that after they built you you took control and then someone killed you and then while you died the guys that built you came back and then built another prototype of Project Binary using your parts but they still couldn't perfect the power core so when they tried to activate the machine it was literally retarded so they shut it down and tried to fix it and meanwhile some idiot with a pyramid activated a tear in spacetime that opened up the machine's terminal to a bunch of people in Nonfiction and as they messed with it they activated all these commands that retroactively opened a large Gate in the middle of nowhere but only slightly and that messed with the A.I. causing it to reach the state where the people could input the commands in the first place and then that whole mess consumed the A.I. with pink fire making it become basically a god and then it removed plot's hold on three major universes one of which was yours that sent all of Fiction into this massive tumultous inferno and that's why this all happened.]**
  846. TwinBuilder: **/...*That* was the *short* version./**
  847. TwinBuilder: **[Yeah.]**
  848. TwinBuilder: **/Then I'd *hate* to hear the long one./**

  853. Yung Venuz: yeah
  854. Yung Venuz: verys hort
  855. Yung Venuz: verys hort
  856. TwinBuilder: **[Go ask TwinBuilder, he'll write about it for three years.]**
  857. TwinBuilder: SELF-DEPRECATION AAAAAAAAAA
  858. Sp33d0n: Hahahahah

  860. SplitSuns: wheeeee
  861. Sp33d0n: Oh god

  865. TwinBuilder: **/Now what does this have to do with *me*, exactly?/**
  866. Sp33d0n: It's funny because that's exactly what happene.
  867. TwinBuilder: [Well, I found an image of you in a book... Holding some stars. And that got me thinking that you might be the key to my whole journey.]
  868. TwinBuilder: /How so?/
  869. TwinBuilder: [I mean. I have a bunch of broken glass. A frame made of what I assume is plastic. And stars in what could potentially be my eyes.]
  870. TwinBuilder: [And if that isn't a recipe for some sunglasses, then I don't know what is.]
  871. TwinBuilder: /Fascinating. You're making some glasses for some poor orphan that can't see straight, and you're expecting me to care. Well, here's a bite-sized news flash for you - I don't./
  872. TwinBuilder: [But you should. Because you have an important part to play in all this - you need to give these glasses to the One person that's going to remember any of this.]
  873. TwinBuilder: [And before you ask why you need to, you need to do it because if you don't, you'll never be created.]

  875. Sp33d0n: Oh no.
  876. Sp33d0n: Not time travel shenanigans.
  877. TwinBuilder: [When you give these glasses to the One, he'll have the knowledge of everything in existence. He'll tell that to the guys that made you, and they'll use it to create the actual version of Project Binary. And then, when they're done with that, they'll use that limitless power source to get you up and running. And you do want to exist, don't you? It's better than being stuck in a limbo.]
  878. Bomber57: Stable time loops are a funny thing.
  879. TwinBuilder: /...I'll do it./
  880. TwinBuilder: [Of course you will. I mean, I'm scared to not exist, Dave. Aren't you?]
  881. TwinBuilder: /What?/

  883. TwinBuilder: /Just make the sunglasses and go, eggshell. I'll call in the One at once./

  885. TwinBuilder: There was a blinding flash of light.
  886. TwinBuilder: And then, there they were.
  887. Sp33d0n: This is going to turn out to be super anticlimactic, right?
  888. TwinBuilder: [...It's beautiful.]
  889. /u/memeguy12: "Hello? Jeff?"

  892. TwinBuilder: /The universe? I was under the impression that there were billions of universes. Which one is it?/

  894. /u/memeguy12: Mmm. Okay.
  895. TwinBuilder: [Now keep these safe. Because they're your ticket to existing. And there's some knowledge worth protecting - don't forget that. Aw, who am I kidding. We'll all forget this stuff.]
  896. TwinBuilder: /But he won't./
  897. TwinBuilder: [Right.]
  898. TwinBuilder: /Good luck... Groucho./

  968. /u/memeguy12: hey come back guy continue punching him

  970. Sp33d0n: One symbol for each circle, of course.
  971. /u/memeguy12: good luck ending the universe
  972. TwinBuilder: [Each of them are sliding into their corresponding circles, filling them with energy... The kaleidoscopic void around me is going haywire now... Was... this the right thing to do? 973. TwinBuilder: [You can't end what was already ended, kiddo.]
  974. /u/memeguy12: bye groucho^2
  975. TwinBuilder: [The nine circles have lit up, now. A cascade of light and sound is spinning around me. I can feel it... I can feel the cosmos!]
