I honestly was waiting for this adaptation for quite awhile since I've been reading the manga scanlations as they come out. But I have to be honest that I haven't watched the anime yet. You can check out the scanlations of the manga by Be With You Scans and Hi wa Mata Noboru. Be sure to support the anime too by watching it at Crunchyroll, Aniplex of America, or Anime Limited. The second season of the anime will air soon too, which would probably will catch up to what happened in this film.

What can I say about the film besides that it's an Ohtomo Keishi film (He's the director of the very cool Rurouni Kenshin live action trilogy)? Well, most of the characters are so spot on from the original manga. Like really. Also, the feels of the manga is still there (but not that heavy compared to the manga). Overall, it's a very good adaptation of the first 6(?) volumes of the manga series.

Not to mention, the movie have a star studded cast too. So don't worry if you're just watching not knowing the manga and just want to flail with your favorite actors and actresses. Sometani Shota, especially, was so cool acting as Nikaido.
