  1.
  2. Avara has connected.
  3. Chloe has connected.
  4. TrulHost has connected.
  5. Kaorin Sakura has connected.
  6. DNA: doo-dee, doo-dee, doo-dee, doo-dee-doo
  7. TrulHost: o/
  8. DNA: \o
  9. Chloe: relevant conversation on skype, what our next plan of action is
  10. Kaorin Sakura: Just transparenting now, Trul.
  11. Kaorin Sakura: A moment.
  12. DNA: Had a feeling. But I wanted to get into the server before anything else.
  13. Kaorin Sakura: It was a massive quickwork thing (like, 9 minutes.../).
  14. TrulHost: brb changing someones butt
  15. Kaorin Sakura: No judging.
  16. DNA: implying I was going to?
  17. Kaorin Sakura: That was to me.
  18. Kaorin Sakura: Good, looks like everyone's here.
  19. Kaorin Sakura: So!
  20. Kaorin Sakura: I want to introduce Trul ASAP.
  21. Kaorin Sakura: So, I'd like to know your course of action before the start so I can have an idea of just how to do that.
  22. DNA: The last thing we did, according to the logs, was rescue Akeldama, the final sibling.
  23. DNA: From what I remember, the plan is simply to regroup with the others first.
  24. Kaorin Sakura: Were you guys planning on hitting up the forest or were you going to head back to town?
  25. DNA: That, I don't know. I'm not sure if we got that far in talks.
  26. Eclipse has connected.
  27. DNA: Gonna get my backup in here in case my desktop starts slugging.
  28. Kaorin Sakura: I COULD have Trul encounter the ladies at the cave entrance...
  29. * TrulHost returns
  30. Eclipse: There is still the matter of the very large creature patrolling the perimeter. But I'll leave that up to your call.
  31. Chloe: I placed my vote
  32. Eclipse: What were we voting on?
  33. TrulHost: forest or town I believe
  34. Chloe: yes
  35. Chronicler: I'll just drop Trul at the ladies. You're heading there before anywhere else.
  36. Eclipse: I don't think I have a preference, honestly.
  37. Chloe: ava?
  38. DNA: Ah, finally my desktop is unstuck.
  39. Avara: i'm fine with whatever we go with. we basically resolved our cave thing... and i'm not sure how to get to our actual job
  40. Chloe: We're not far from town, and we have injuries to heal. The plan of "go to town" consisted of going to town, healing injuries, then resume investigation
  41. Avara: iirc the healing'll cost money, tho'
  42. Avara: do we have sufficient funds?
  43. Chloe: It might. But we could chose to rest outside of town. Either way it's not far from where we are, it would probably be safer even outside of it, and the ladies need to head there anyway.
  44. Chronicler: I'm gonna find some music right quick and then we'll begin.
  45. Chronicler: If you mean the females you 'rescued' they were adamant about not going into town.
  46. Chloe: I did not know that
  47. DNA: Nor did I. Good to know.
  48. Chronicler: They said so several times.
  49. DNA: It would make sense, but I don't remember it being stated, at least not clearly.
  50. Avara: Did they specify where they'll be while we hit town, if we do?
  51. Chronicler: In fact, they offered to remain in the cave and promised not to go elsewhere.
  52. Chloe: In that case I vote going to the enterance of the cave and directing ourselves from there. We could continue heading toward the void pockets if we feel well enough
  53. Avara: ok
  54. DNA: That's fine by me.
  55. Chronicler: It's been a while, so no worries folks.
  56. DNA: FEELS GOOD, MAN
  57. Chronicler whispers: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/590670
  58. DNA: Gonna get the cave music I've been listening to for a while
  59. Chronicler: And thus we return to the tales of the near future, following a group of adventurers in a time most unstable. Last we saw our adventurers they had just defeated several 'Things' and released the third and final sister. Our party stands as: Cloe Blanchett, Saturn Rosewell, Rochett Higsby, and Battlemaster Vell. (Blondelle Champagne is missing currently but that won't halt the story nor rise suspicions).
  60. DNA: (Though some people might be glad of that...)
  61. Akeldama: As slight recap: Akeldama had just performed a trade with Chloe.
  62. Chloe: (could I has token in my box?
  63. Akeldama: (( Done. ))
  64. DNA: Ah right, Apirevespa
  65. Akeldama: "Much appreciated. You mentioned a movement to a safer haven, yes?"
  66. Chloe Blanchett: "There's a lot of winding on the way out, but yes."
  67. Battlemaster Vell: "I do miss daylight a bit. Just a bit."
  68. Saturn Rosewell: "I really can't wait to get out of here."
  69. Rochette: "Right... we need to recover after the expeditions to free the three of you, so even if we don't head back to town, we need somewhere we can actually relax for a bit to heal."
  70. Battlemaster Vell: "Hehe. Brings back memories. Roughin' it."
  71. Akeldama: "As long as I'm with my dear sisters anything will do."
  72. Akeldama: (( To re-do the visualization: You raised the construct from the center of the plaza. ))
  73. DNA: (I think we're still somewhere around the center dome-thing, yes?)
  74. Akeldama: (( You stand in the center of this construct, a decrepit building to the nw, ne, sw and se. ))
  75. DNA: (Will take as a yes.)
  76. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe examines the surrounding area to get her bearings and try to remember the way out. Perception to find the enterances and exits of the area, and which one led to where we came.
  77. Akeldama: (( You're drained the waters and he only light source for miles around are the glowing berry trees. ))
  78. Akeldama: (( You've, rather ))
  79. Natasha: I beg to differ with that second half.
  80. Avara: don't we have a glowy-mon around?
  81. Avara: yeah
  82. Akeldama: Akeldama attempts to stand to her feet and does so slowly, though she wobbles some. She giggles and smiles weakly.
  83. Saturn Rosewell: "Need any help? I can help you stand if you want."
  84. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe points, "That way was Battlemaster's hut, and from there we should be able to find our way back. We have the right direction at least.
  85. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe says, while pointing to the south.
  86. Battlemaster Vell: "Ah! Yeah. You all mentioned how you came in. Better to use that way out rather than the way I got here."
  87. Akeldama: "I'll be fine but thank you, madam. I just missed how it feels to move. The weight of my own body." She stretches languidly, the popping of her bones audible, "Mmmmm!!"
  88. Akeldama: Akeldama steps over to Chloe, her movements silent and swift, "I shall be your shadow, madam."
  89. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe smiled sweetly and took the first step forward.
  90. Rochette: Rochette will follow after, rubbing sore muscles of her own from the battle damage sustained. "At least we shouldn't run into too much trouble on the way..."
  91. Saturn Rosewell: Saturn would bring up the rear guard. She wasn't sure why because she couldn't do much, but they were more likely to be attacked from front than behind at this point.
  92. Chloe Blanchett must wait 27.175 seconds before it may move again!
  93. Saturn Rosewell: And, of course, the light source Natasha was sitting atop her hat, illuminating the area for ~5m around.
  94. Battlemaster Vell: Battlemaster Vell stayed close to Saturn, remaining vigilant for the creature they had seen earlier.
  95. Saturn Rosewell: (At least I think it's 5. I don't think an actual number is given. Whatever it normally is.)
  96. Battlemaster Vell: (( Whatever 15ft is in meters. Which I think is roughly 5. ))
  97. DNA: Roughly 5, yes.
  98. DNA: 4.572009144018288036576073152146304
  99. DNA: That many!
  100. Battlemaster Vell: (( She provides shadowy illumination as well. ))
  101. Battlemaster Vell: (( Which extends it another 3m ))
  102. DNA: So, 5 of light plus 3 of pseudo-light. Sweet!
  103. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe was rather nervious as she walked. There was no use hiding it, no use pretending to be braver than she was. The cave was dark and she only had memory and a dim glow to navigate by. But still she tried. ((Locating Battlemaster's hut, Perception ))
  104. Saturn Rosewell: Intuition continuous check to sense life: Saturn 4d6+1
  105. The travels from the plaza to Vell's makeshift hut has the clanking of metal echoing in the distant shadows though the sound never gets quieter nor louder. The trip is otherwise uneventful.
  106. Natasha: Natasha 4d6+4
  107. Chloe Blanchett: "... do you suppose that is the creature? Or another trap?"
  108. Saturn Rosewell: "I...I don't know. I want to guess we're being followed, slowly, since the sound level isn't changing..."
  109. Battlemaster Vell whispers: You can feel four pulses of life following your group with deadly precision. They match your pace perfecttly and remain a safe distance from you that you cannot see them, even with your aura sight.
  110. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe nodded, then gulped. "We have to keep moving then, right?" She desperately looked for where they might have come from, using Battlemaster's house as a starting point. Perception
  111. Battlemaster Vell: "Let 'em hunt us. As long as we don't give them any weaknesses to strike at and remain as a group, we'll be fine."
  112. Saturn Rosewell: "...They are following us. They're matching our speed pace for pace."
  113. Rochette: ((perception as well to try and hear them and which direction they're in. ))
  114. Saturn Rosewell: "They may be leading us into an ambush."
  115. Battlemaster Vell: "Leading? I thought Chloe was doing that."
  116. Saturn Rosewell: "...not what I meant."
  117. Akeldama: Akeldama turns to the creatures she has accompanying her, "Stay alert, family."
  118. Rochette: "So, they're over that way... sort of." She nods her head northward. "As long as they don't come between us and the bugs-filled elevator we should be fine."
  119. The makeshift hut comes into full view as Natasha's light shines upon it.
  120. Saturn Rosewell: "...Let's hope no one's inside." Using continuous check to sense inside the hut/behind the door.
  121. Battlemaster Vell: "Ah, that place served me well."
  122. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Let me know if you require a new check(s).
  123. Battlemaster Vell whispers: I do. A new check will always be required.
  124. Chloe Blanchett: ((Perception ))
  125. Player "Kaorin!" is not connected.
  126. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Dang! Okay, Saturn and Natasha
  127. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe stands outside and tries to find the next path to take.
  128. Battlemaster Vell whispers: You find no noticeable forms of life within the hut.
  129. Saturn Rosewell: "...I don't feel anything. I think it's safe inside."
  130. Rochette: "Feel like checking your residence for intruders before you move out, Battlemaster?"
  131. Chloe Blanchett: "Over there looks like the next step... Agh, I wish I remembered this place better." Chloe grew more frustrated, feeling as if she had to track herself back to the door. But it was better than being lost.
  132. Battlemaster Vell: "Not at all. I have everything I need."
  133. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Stupid question, but is it possible to pinpoint where someone has been using life force trails (or something), in a similar way that Tracker uses Perception to track scents?
  134. Battlemaster Vell whispers: That's a no.
  135. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Didn't think so. Was trying to Hansel & Gretel our way back out of here. Worth a shot!
  136. Akeldama: "Lead the way, madam. I have faith in you." Akeldama nudges Chloe's back slightly.
  137. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe began to walk forward again, to a series of scattered stones, and then toward a group of destroyed buildings. "I think we passed two sets of destroyed buildings like this, the ruins we found you in, and the first set here... We might be halfway out, landmark wise."
  138. Akeldama: (( Be sure to tell me when you're moving and where. Otherwise I'll mistake you guys for just standing around. ))
  139. * Saturn Rosewell will be following behind Chloe (and Rochette) in turn.
  140. Avara: Rochette is walking with the group, taking a generally middling position.
  141. Chloe leads the group through a series of destroyed buildings and a once water filled cavern. The ground still moist from the water that was once there. The blue glowing berry trees still stand, their roots deep underneath the stone floor. You pass by a memorable building, the one ventured that had the scyther-like creatures and the ceiling hive. It's not long before you reach where the cavern walls narrow and the corridor you used to get here is found.
  142. DNA: (Is that where the elevator is, or where it splits off into 3 paths further above?)
  143. Akeldama: (( The elevator is down a different path. ))
  144. Akeldama: (( That's the place that leads to the split ))
  145. Chloe Blanchett: "Yes..." Chloe cheered to herself in a reserved whisper. She still didn't want to create any more noise than she had to. "Here we should find a splitting path, and I remember which one leads out. Follow me." Chloe began to walk to the corridor, losing some of her careful stepping. The corridor invoked a renewed sense of bravery.
  146. Battlemaster Vell: "Huh. Go figure. Was this always here...?"
  147. Akeldama: "Most excellent, madam. I'm overjoyed!" Akeldama smiles weakly again.
  148. Chloe Blanchett: "There is only one way in, but this splits into three other paths. You could have gotten even more lost if you picked the wrong one. And even if you pick the right one you need a way to fly..." Chloe explained as she walked.
  149. The corridot leads straight forward and to a natural stone hallway. It leads to a fork, one that continue foward, one that turns and goes upward and another that turns and goes downward.
  150. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe continued a narration as she went. "As we first found the splitting path, it forked three ways with the middle one filled with plants. All we have to do is pick the opposite path to that."
  151. Chloe Blanchett: ((Which path has the plantlife? The one that bloomed around Saturn?))
  152. DNA: (Yeah. That is also the way out.)
  153. Akeldama: (( Up lead to the place forest, down lead to the elevator. Straight ahead has the algae (sp?) ))
  154. Chloe Blanchett: "... uh oh, not quite what I remembered... at least the paths are distinct. We should go straight ahead, right?" She turned to the others.
  155. Saturn Rosewell: "hmmm..."
  156. Saturn Rosewell: "I think it might be the downward one, since I remember this cave going up a bit before we got to this fork. I'm not quite sure yet, though..."
  157. Saturn Rosewell: Saturn gives it some thought...
  158. Rochette: Rochette kneels down to check for footprints.
  159. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Intuition to try and sense those strange plants that were on the way out.
  160. Chloe Blanchett: "That one leads to the forest, that one to the elevator, process of elimination says we go straight..."
  161. Akeldama whispers: They're still there and are straight ahead.
  162. Rochette: survival
  163. Saturn Rosewell: "...Straight ahead."
  164. Akeldama: (( Note! ))
  165. Akeldama: (( Survival does NOT do tracking. ))
  166. Akeldama: (( That's Perception. And Survival has been split though I'll wait until next game to enforce that. ))
  167. Akeldama: (( Tracking is Perception. ))
  168. Avara: ((dock 2 from my roll, then))
  169. Akeldama: (( Pretty much: If it involves listening, smelling, or seeing, it's Perception. ))
  170. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe thought about helping in the search for footprints, "... tracking ourselves at this intersection is impossible, we backtracked through it multiple times, with varying group sizes."
  171. Rochette: "Yeah, but each way would have a distinct curve."
  172. Rochette: "We walk to and from one point into the others."
  173. Rochette: "I can't see anything here, though..."
  174. Saturn Rosewell: "I can sense the plants though still. They're straight ahead."
  175. Chloe Blanchett: "But that means nothing unless we know which path is which, in which case we weren't lost to begin with." Chloe looked at the algae, "... this is the best bet we have. Lets go through here. Quickly if we can." Chloe began to walk through the algae at a hastened pace.
  176. Saturn Rosewell: "When you say algae, do you mean those strange plant-things that grew and glowed as we walked past?"
  177. Chloe Blanchett: "Yes, why?" Chloe paused
  178. Saturn Rosewell: "That's what I was referring to when I said plants. Sorry for not being clear."
  179. Akeldama: (( Everyone going straight? ))
  180. Saturn Rosewell: (Yeah)
  181. Chloe Blanchett: ((Yes))
  182. As you go down the path you notice that the algae that had mutated into plants are now different. They're still radiating a strong glow but now also radiate intense heat. They've taken the shape of mushrooms scattered along the walls. You see several 'mushrooms' that stretch from the wall (stationary) and even have eyes. (( Image for reference. http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130301171906/darksouls/images/7/70/Elizabeth01.jpg ))
  183. Saturn Rosewell: (Can you post that again without the link? I can't scroll the chat left-right.)
  184. The mushrooms turn as Saturn follows the group and they watch her closely, unblinking. Though as they cannot leave the wall of which they are growing they merely turn as Saturn passes.
  185. Akeldama whispers: http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130301171906/darksouls/images/7/70/Elizabeth01.jpg
  186. Chloe Blanchett: "...looking forward to never walking this path again.."
  187. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: I meant everything BUT the link.
  188. As you go down the path you notice that the algae that had mutated into plants are now different. They're still radiating a strong glow but now also radiate intense heat. They've taken the shape of mushrooms scattered along the walls. You see several 'mushrooms' that stretch from the wall (stationary) and even have eyes.
  189. Akeldama: (( ^ For DNA ))
  190. Rochette: ((oh god. that is FAR freakier when you don't expect it.))
  191. Rochette: ((damnit elizabeth!))
  192. Saturn Rosewell: (So, the weird mushrooms are just along the wall, but not actually blocking our path?)
  193. Akeldama: (( Yes ))
  194. Rochette: "That... is -way- creepier than anything I remember passing on the way here. How long have we been stuck underground?"
  195. * Saturn Rosewell suddenly gets really nervous and bolts on ahead, putting as much distance between her and the freaky mushrooms as possible.
  196. Saturn Rosewell: (Though, not enough to lose eyesight of the others.)
  197. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe picks up her pace as she sees the mushrooms, eager to get back to the litwik hut and face things she'd actually been taught about in school.
  198. Chloe Blanchett: Even if they are ghosts.
  199. As the group rushes out of the natural stone corridor the familiar hardened sand-like path suspended over the black waters is found. The path curves naturally about the waters and eventually leads to the familiar lone hut along the path. A single bead of white light can be seen from the dark heavens above.
  200. Saturn Rosewell: "Finally! Let's get out of here..."
  201. Chloe Blanchett: "Is that the litwik, or the 'god' of the cave?" Chloe asked, pointing at the candle. Even though she was drawing attention to it, she tried to use her own perception to determine what it was 15.
  202. Chloe Blanchett: *fix
  203. Akeldama: (( Actually, folks mind if I run to the store real quick? We are out of coffee/drinks and I need something. >_> ))
  204. Saturn Rosewell: i don't mind.
  205. Akeldama: (( \o/ ))
  206. Chloe Blanchett: (go ahead)
  207. Rochette: "Litwicks are purple or red light, aren't they? Pure white would be the self-proclaimed deity."
  208. Akeldama: (( Back ))
  209. DNA: ojai
  210. Rochette: ((welcome back))
  211. Chloe Blanchett: "... no wait, I think that's the exit." Chloe felt a bit stupid. Though she had been alarmed moments earlier, such fear was reasonable.
  212. Akeldama: Akeldama looks up and squints to see what Chloe saw, "...And how are we to reach something that far?"
  213. Rochette: "Flying pokemon."
  214. Battlemaster Vell: "Err, yeah. I can't imagine trying to climb up there. That's like, in the middle of the ceiling."
  215. Chloe Blanchett: "Flying." Chloe nodded.
  216. Rochette: Rochette brings out Roland. "Two at a time."
  217. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe let free her Apirevespa in a flash of light, "Hello, I'm sorry we haven't been properly introduced, but are you capable of carrying someone?"
  218. >>>: Aspirevespa clicked with approval. (Mountable 1)
  219. Saturn Rosewell: (So, Roland will be carrying Rochette and Akeldama, and Apirevespa will be carrying Chloe?)
  220. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe turned to Akeldama, "You have a ditto now, so you can have him turn into a Roland of your own. Everyone could fly out in one trip."
  221. Avara: Sounds like a plan with the ditto in play.
  222. * Natasha is actually capable of carrying Saturn up.
  223. Natasha: Don't ask how that works, because I don't know. The weight standard is only BARELY met. Whoo!
  224. Akeldama: "Ah? This is true." Akeldama summons Ditto and asks it to become a 'Roland'.
  225. Chloe Blanchett: ((It's too bad Natasha wears clothes. +1 encumbrance))
  226. Ditto will transform into Roland, the Tropius and offer to carry Battlemaster and anyone else.
  227. Chronicler: It sounds as though, however, that everyone will be capable of flying up in a single go.
  228. Avara: yup! that sounds perfect.
  229. DNA: boo hiss rob
  230. Chronicler: In which case, everyone can make it through the open cavern and into the cave above.
  231. To note, however, that just as you fly off you can see the blade arm and legged creature with the suspended head from its body exit the corridor you had left, quickly followed by three more, identical to itself save for the shape of their bodies is female rather than male. Their heads turn sickeningly toward you all as you ascend though they don't move from that spot.
  232. Natasha: Natasha looked down at the group as our party ascended up and out of the cave. She then let out a raspberry. "Phhhht!"
  233. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe clings tight to her Apirevespa, whose limbs prove skilled at locking Chloe's arms and legs in place. No wonder such a small pokemon can carry a person. Chloe was still shaking, heights were not her friend.
  234. Chronicler: As you ascend into the cave above you find both Nylora and Selene staring at a female, one you hadn't encountered before. She stands at 4'10" and is very thin with long black hair, an eyepatch over one of her eyes.
  235. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe slumped to her knees as soon as she felt she was a safe distance from the hole's edge. If others weren't watching she would have sprawled outward just to assure herself of the solid ground.
  236. Selene: Selene turns to the group as they appear, "Ah! Did you fi---SISTER!"
  237. Selene: Selene stands from the cave floor and rushes to her sister, throwing her arms around Akeldama and squeezing her tightly.
  238. Valerie Ylsef: "Well, this looks promising." Valerie says outloud mostly to herself, quite possible to her flame jet.
  239. Nylora: Nylora stands slowly but doesn't take her eyes off of the newcomer.
  240. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe smiled at the sight, but didn't interrupt.
  241. Saturn Rosewell: Saturn was quite anxious to get back on solid ground. What with all the flying and the floating and such like, she was glad to have it stop.
  242. Valerie Ylsef: Valerie walks up closer to the group. "No offense, but you gals look like hell, need a hand with anything?"
  243. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe laughed, to happy to see the light to worry about who the new one was. "Ah, a nap would do."
  244. Battlemaster Vell: "Hehe. Hell ain't exactly what I'd call it."
  245. Akeldama: "Dear sisters, I'm so happy to see you all again."
  246. Selene: "And I, you. Thank you all so very much."
  247. Nylora: "I'll rejoice when we finish addressing this lass, here."
  248. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe blushed. "... are you really planning to stay here? In this cave?"
  249. Saturn Rosewell: "I dunno, almost getting blown apart and having to stealth our way around a cavern of things trying to kill us would be a rough equivalent of Hell to me."
  250. Nylora: Nylora carefully watches the lady with the flame jets.
  251. Valerie Ylsef: "Ooooh, that sounds like fun!"
  252. Saturn Rosewell: "... ..."
  253. Battlemaster Vell: Battlemaster Vell casually shows off all his bloody injuries, "Well, yeah. It was pretty fun."
  254. Valerie Ylsef: "Cept for maybe that stealth bit...."
  255. Saturn Rosewell: "You and I clearly have different ideas of fun."
  256. Valerie Ylsef: "Little Jordy here has taken good care of me." Valerie pats the firing nozzle of her flame jet.
  257. Saturn must wait 26.628 seconds before it may move again!
  258. Chloe must wait 26.635 seconds before it may move again!
  259. Rochette must wait 26.635 seconds before it may move again!
  260. Battlemaster Vell: (( Hah ))
  261. Chloe Blanchett: "Teehehee... well... it was scary, and it hurt... but walking back from it all..." Chloe smiled, "...feels like something special."
  262. Battlemaster Vell: "Well, don't forget that forest in that place if you're still seeking adventure. Thanks a ton for assisting me out of that place."
  263. Nylora: Nylora turns to Battlemaster Vell as he speaks, raising an eyebrow.
  264. Saturn Rosewell: "I think our priorities are less on adventure and more on rest."
  265. Battlemaster Vell: "But, looks as though you rescued the damsels, myself and walked away from it all intact. So, I'll be on my way. I believe Fairview is nearby, right?"
  266. Chloe Blanchett: "Y-yeah, we're on a job from there. Investigating Void Pockets. We... got sidetracked. It was the weather, well, at first."
  267. Battlemaster Vell: "Perfect. Well, I'll probably be there when you guys finish whatever it is you were doing.:
  268. Chloe Blanchett: "I hope we do."
  269. Battlemaster Vell: Battlemaster Vell nods to everyone before walking toward the exit of the cave. He waves to the girl with the flame jets as he passes by her, stepping outside and out of sight.
  270. Valerie Ylsef: "Void Pockets huh. That definatley sounds more interesting than that dribble Mr. Crispy Shorts was trying hunt down. If you gals could use another set of hands I'm more than glad to help. You are already a vast improvement over the last group I worked with."
  271. Chloe Blanchett: "Mr. Crispy Shorts...?"
  272. Saturn Rosewell: "Last group?"
  273. Nylora: Nylora finally turns away from the new girl and sits beside Selene and Akeldama.
  274. Rochette: "We're short one set of hands as it is, so there's certainly room in the group."
  275. Valerie Ylsef: "Let's say my last employer was a little too free with his hands and Little Jordy here didn't like his attitude."
  276. Rochette: "So... is there anything else 'little jordy' doesn't like that we should be aware of?"
  277. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe sat upon the cave floor and listened in, though she had nothing to add right then. She decided to take the lull to recall her new pokemon in a flash of light.
  278. Valerie Ylsef: "Oh I'm sure Little Jordy will behave, its mostly just those with external genitals that he has issue with."
  279. Nylora: Nylora beckons Chloe to her.
  280. Saturn Rosewell: "...why does your flamethrower have a name?"
  281. Valerie Ylsef: "Why wouldn't it?"
  282. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe noticed and stood, brushing off her overalls and walking to Nylora.
  283. Valerie Ylsef: "Besides, its not like I have a pokemon companion right now, need someone to talk to."
  284. Nylora: Nylora smiles and whispers to Chloe.
  285. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe's eyes widened and she nodded.
  286. Saturn Rosewell: "...I'm just unfamiliar with giving names to inanimate objects, that's all."
  287. Chloe Blanchett: "O-okay." Chloe said, before realizing she should whisper back.
  288. Rochette: "... Face it, there are stranger ways to be in this world. Naming your weapon is... relatively benign, by comparison. At least it isn't that Magma/Aqua stuff from the history books again."
  289. Valerie Ylsef: "Who?"
  290. Valerie Ylsef: "Sorry, my uncle wasn't much for books."
  291. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe spends a great deal of time going over something or another in the corner with Nylora, leaving the recruitment of Valerie up to the judgement of the remaining two.
  292. Rochette: "Um... a bunch of lunatics who thought the world should be more land or water, and nearly destroyed Hoenn in the process."
  293. Saturn Rosewell: "Oh, THOSE guys..."
  294. Saturn Rosewell: "I remember them. I think my grandparents were around when they were running amok. They were generally crazy and not very nice people."
  295. Saturn Rosewell: "...for the most part. A handful of them were just well-meaning, nice, though misguided people."
  296. Rochette: "I think that's generally true of any crime group that takes up the Team moniker. Most of them are after power or wealth or destruction, while a couple of them actually have a good cause in mind and ill means of achieving them."
  297. Saturn Rosewell: "There was one guy back home who was part of Team Magma. Heard most of the stories about them from him. He was one of the nice guys."
  298. Saturn Rosewell: "So...Jordy girl. Why do you want to travel with us, again? I don't think you've really stated why."
  299. Valerie Ylsef: "Oh right. I do freelance work. My main gig is that of the bodyguard. Despite my size and stature I can take more of a beating than a good number of folk."
  300. Saturn Rosewell: "I'll say. You're smaller than even me."
  301. Valerie Ylsef: "Aaaaand as it happens, Mr. Cripsy Shorts was my last employer, so I am looking for work."
  302. Valerie Ylsef: "I got a bit of an advantage." Varlerie thumps her chest which gives a much more solid sound than what one might expect.
  303. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe walked back over, her chat with Nylora concluded, it seemed. "We all met in Fairview just yesterday. If it wasn't yesterday it sure felt like it... anyroad, we're just forming a group to take jobs we find posted. From this cave experience, I think we might even be good at it. We do have a spare signet ring..."
  304. Saturn Rosewell: "That sounds about right, though hopefully our jobs won't take us to insane places. But I can't count on that..."
  305. Rochette: "I wouldn't mind someone else taking the punches for a while, so I can actually get around to sneaking up behind the next enemy instead of getting knocked out again."
  306. Rochette: "By that sound, I'd guess you're wearing armor?"
  307. Valerie Ylsef: "Among other things!"
  308. Valerie Ylsef: "I have a certain affinitiy for Rocks."
  309. Rochette: "Sturdy choice to swear by." She nods. "Alright... I'm okay with giving you a test run. We'll still need to see how well we all get along, but there's safety in numbers, and a bodyguard in the group makes it even safer for everyone else."
  310. Saturn Rosewell: "'Twould definitely make our group less squishy, at least. Rochette can fight but she's taken a beating, and...well, the rest of us are about as useful in combat as a wet paper bag."
  311. Chloe Blanchett: "Rochette... you're good at fighting but you move like you're expecting a partner there with you. I'm not an expert on it, but you always look timid up front alone. And we all took a chance with each other already, it hasn't been long but... I would like it if I can call you my friends."
  312. Rochette: "I already basically said as much on the bit about combat... as for friendship..." she closes her eyes, taking a deep breath and thinking. "If I can trust all of you not to run off once the job's done, it would be nice to have friends again."
  313. Nylora whispers: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/387148
  314. Nylora whispers:
  315. Chloe Blanchett: "I don't have anywhere to go. If the road is going to be like this, it could be fun to travel with you all."
  316. Saturn Rosewell: "I don't think I'm really willing to describe anyone as a 'friend'...but you are nice people. I'd be willing to stick around with you for a while. Certainly beats being alone, at least right now."
  317. Valerie Ylsef: "Woohoo, you hear that Jordy, we got work! And with ladies that probably won't be trying to grab my ass while we are fighting something!"
  318. Saturn Rosewell: "...Those kinds of people, huh?"
  319. Rochette: "... Your last employer got frisky -mid fight-?"
  320. Valerie Ylsef: "Never said he was very smart."
  321. Rochette: "Less survival instinct than a -tree-."
  322. Chloe Blanchett: "This is going to be a partnership, not an employment. We can't promise anything unless we all get something."
  323. Valerie Ylsef: "Its all the same to me."
  324. Valerie Ylsef: "Work, is work. All the better when I can actually stand those I'm working with."
  325. Saturn Rosewell: "About the same for me, yeah."
  326. Rochette: "Alright. It'll be good to work with you. I'm Rochette. Nice to meet you."
  327. Chloe Blanchett: "My name is Chloe Blanchett."
  328. Saturn Rosewell: "...Saturn."
  329. Valerie Ylsef: "Oh, I guess I never did tell you my name, how rude of me. Valerie Ylsef at your service!"
  330. Natasha: "Aangenaam, Valerie!"
  331. Valerie Ylsef: "Whaa?"
  332. Rochette: "Natasha doesn't speak kanto's human dialect."
  333. * Natasha was waving from atop Saturn's hat.
  334. Chloe Blanchett: "This is Natasha. She doesn't speak Kanto, but you can hear her heart speak if you listen."
  335. Saturn Rosewell: "We're both from Hoenn. She said it's nice to meet you."
  336. Rochette: "... On the note of language. I can speak to the regional pokemon. Saturn and Natasha are good with Hoennese. I don't know if there's any other linguistic skills in the group."
  337. Valerie Ylsef: "Oh, well likewise then!"
  338. * Saturn Rosewell nodded curtly.
  339. Chloe Blanchett: "I can only speak Kanto, human dialect."
  340. Valerie Ylsef: "Same."
  341. Saturn Rosewell: "Natasha's trying to learn how to speak to the Pokemon around here. Will probably make things easier later on."
  342. Chloe Blanchett: "It must be difficult. Keep up the hard work, Natasha!"
  343. Rochette: "In terms of skillset... my training's always been more about quick hits and evasion, but I've had to work as a make-do guard for the group as well during fights, now and then. Mostly I'm good at sneaking around, outside of a fight."
  344. * Saturn Rosewell whispers the translation.
  345. Rochette: "Saturn, it might be a bit tricky, but if we cooperate I might be able to help bridge the gap for Natasha's learning."
  346. Natasha: "Heel hartelijk bedankt, Chloe!"
  347. Saturn Rosewell: "...That would be a good idea, yes."
  348. Chloe Blanchett: "I'm going to take a step outside and enjoy the sun while I figure out which way is what again." Chloe turned to Nylora and took both of her hands into hers. "I wish you and your sisters the best of luck, thank you for what you taught me, I'll put it to good use. If you ever get an address, let me know somehow. I'll write letters." She waved to the other two sisters with a smile and took a step outside. For a moment the rays of the sun stung her eyes, but soon enough she adjusted to the light of the sky and the heat of the sun.
  349. Chloe Blanchett: Using the growing moss, sun's movement or other cues Chloe attempt to determine which way is east and west Perception.
  350. Rochette: Rochette looks to the three sisters, giving them a parting wave. "Good luck with adjusting to the new world you've woken into. Hopefully we can help, if you need it." Chloe takes her time approaching the light, letting her eyes adjust gradually.
  351. * Valerie Ylsef follows the others
  352. * Saturn Rosewell slowly adjusts to the light, walking slowly outward, her eyes blinking rather quickly. Natasha spread out her limbs and lied back on Saturn's hat, with a cry of "Ahh, de zon".
  353. Akeldama: "Thank all of you."
  354. Nylora: "We'll be here for a while in case you want to come back and visit."
  355. Chloe Blanchett: "Westward is that way." Chloe pointed, making sure everyone saw before turning her attention to the parting words of the sisters.
  356. Saturn Rosewell: "If we ever stop by again, we'll drop by."
  357. Selene: "Please do. We may need more assistance and could likely offer rewards."
  358. * Natasha 's ears perked up at the mention of rewards. She didn't know Kantonese, but she knew of some words.
  359. Saturn Rosewell: "...Wees niet hebberig, Natasha."
  360. Rochette: "... Ah." She draws a quick map by memory in the dirt of the cave floor. "This is where we are... this is the nearest settlement, Fairview. From there..." more drawing, "This is my house. You can go there if you need shelter. I don't think I'll be home any time soon. Just be careful with stuff, okay?"
  361. Natasha: =/
  362. DNA: (Rochette's house is off further to the west, right?)
  363. Chloe Blanchett: "I'll try to bring gifts! Cave comforts!" Chloe tried not to tear up. It was a simple goodbye to three sisters she hadn't known long... but after such an adventure together with everyone, it was hard not to form a sense of connection.
  364. Rochette: (( she doesn't live IN fairview. her house is on the road. ))
  365. DNA: (I know. I was asking if it was west of here, which is also west of Fairview.)
  366. Chloe Blanchett: ((fairview is east))
  367. Chloe Blanchett: ((And I think it's east of fairview))
  368. Avara: west of fairview would be between us and fairview. and... i don't think it ever got pinned down.
  369. Chronicler: We can decide now!
  370. Chronicler: I'll make a marker.
  371. DNA: I totally thought we went west when leaving Fairview.
  372. Avara: east and a little south.
  373. Avara: we did.
  374. Avara: kaorin, east is right.
  375. Chronicler: Is there okay?
  376. Avara: yes
  377. Chronicler: Awesome.
  378. DNA: Marker established!
  379. Chronicler: Her house is now on the Region Map.
  380. Chronicler: So, with that said, are folks intending to go back to Fairview or rest?
  381. Rochette: Rochette hands the sisters her house key, as her 'spare key' is to sneak into her own home or pick the lock anyway. "Me and most of my pokemon will probably get knocked out in a single hit, and it isn't exactly friendly territory between here and Fairview. I'll probably be a liability if we get in a fight right now."
  382. Chloe Blanchett: "I'm not actually that tired. We could continue to the Forest of Fate, if no one is seriously hurt. And.. the road can't be as dangerous as what we just went through, can it? It might even be relaxing."
  383. Avara: for how hurt rochette and her team is, look at her box page. iirc i kept them up-to-date.
  384. Chloe Blanchett: ((rochette has taken more beating than everyone else combined at this point.))
  385. Chronicler: If folks want to rest I will allow a full on kickass and all the everything rest.
  386. Chronicler: Complete with shitloads of crafting.
  387. DNA: I get to twiddle my thumbs! just so long as I know where we're resting
  388. Chloe Blanchett: ((Same, no materials))
  389. Chronicler: So, heal one injury without use of items. Or...two if DNA has that thing.
  390. Avara: train your pokemon?\
  391. Chronicler: That too.
  392. Avara: how much hp healed?
  393. Chronicler: All of it. To your injured max.
  394. Chloe Blanchett: "S-seems it might be too soon for goodbyes." Chloe laughed. "We might spend the whole night here, if it's too late to travel when we're done resting."
  395. Fens: Fens is healed and gains 43 hit points.
  396. Biter: Biter loses 9999 hit points.
  397. Biter: Biter is healed and gains 10032 hit points.
  398. DNA: Does my injury heal off?
  399. Roland: Roland is healed and gains 33 hit points.
  400. DNA: because it was of an odd nature.
  401. Rochette: Rochette is healed and gains 0 hit points.
  402. Avara: healing distributed on rochette's side of things.
  403. Chloe Blanchett: Chloe Blanchett loses 0 hit points.
  404. DNA: During the rest I'll probably train my pokemon using command, but I'll roll for that later, after session is over.
  405. DNA: Probably when my brain is better organized.
  406. Mimsy: Mimsy loses 0 hit points.
  407. * TrulHost shall twiddle her fingers
  408. Mimsy: ((Same))
  409. DNA: I can't do anything else other than that.
  410. DNA: PoT, i need clearance to know if my strange injury heals off.
  411. Chronicler: With your healing abilities: Yes.
  412. DNA: whoo!
  413. Chronicler: Oh and uhh
  414. Chronicler: Lemme check something.
  415. Chronicler: Oh. Fantastic.
  416. Chronicler: Rochette's and Roland's skin begins to scab over.
  417. DNA: Aw what
  418. Avara: ...
  419. DNA: Is this the same crap from before?
  420. Chronicler: And that weird injury that Saturn has will actually require a medicine check. Or survival check.
  421. Avara: do ro and ro actually heal their injuries then, or no?
  422. DNA: For me, Medicine 4d6+2:
  423. Chronicler: You two heal as normal except for the following:
  424. DNA: While I'm at it, let's see if I recognize that it's that weird scabby stuff that comes off with water.
  425. DNA: DO I!?
  426. Chronicler: You have a -2 penalty to Body and permanently gain 1 injury until whatever ails you is healed.
  427. Avara: chill crazypants!
  428. Chronicler whispers: You do! And it is!
  429. Avara: ...
  430. Avara: 'kay. *adds notes to them*
  431. Avara: roll my permanent injured stat
  432. Avara: for each
  433. * Saturn Rosewell looks around for a source of water!
  434. Chronicler: The injury lowered the Defense stat!
  435. Chronicler: The injury lowered the Accuracy stat!
  436. Chronicler: So, DNA: I'll need that medicine or survival check for Saturn to see if that injury she has heals.
  437. Rochette: Rochette loses 6 hit points.
  438. Chronicler: Unless you can remind me of a time she did that already and I just forgot it happened.
  439. Saturn Rosewell: I rolled it about 1 minute ago
  440. Chronicler: ...Ah.
  441. Chronicler: Saturn cures herself of the disease.
  442. Chronicler: Though Rochette and Roland still have it.
  443. DNA: yeah, that's why I'm looking for a source of water.
  444. DNA: Is there a rather obvious one nearby or will I have to hunt for one?
  445. Roland: Roland loses 0 hit points.
  446. Chronicler: I'm sorry?
  447. Roland: Roland loses 0 hit points.
  448. Chronicler: It's a disease. Wherever anyone contracted it from would have done so a while ago.
  449. DNA: But it was also caused by the odd scab from before, which comes off with water.
  450. Avara: it was -2 body each, right?
  451. Chronicler: Yes.
  452. Avara: as a penalty, or a hard setting?
  453. Chronicler: Penalty.
  454. Chronicler: The goo came off with water.
  455. DNA: Would applying water to the wounds accelerate the healing as well?
  456. Chronicler: No, but you could fluff it as such if you wanted to try to heal them.
  457. DNA: That is the idea, yes.
  458. Chronicler: But, you could heal one for this extended rest.
  459. Chronicler: Not both.
  460. DNA: I don't have to hunt for water; I'll find it nearby easily?
  461. Chronicler: Yes.
  462. Chronicler: There's a lake just outside.
  463. DNA: In that case, Saturn shall rush, get water, and then apply it copiously (I think that's the word I'm looking for) to said scabbing.
  464. Chronicler: To who? Roland or Rochette?
  465. Chronicler: You can do one this rest.
  466. DNA: Can't I just apply it to both? (I know only 1 will heal, but IC, I would do so to both.) Or do I only have time for 1?
  467. Avara: either way... probably better to apply it to rochette since roland can rest in his pokeball.
  468. Chronicler: You only have time for one
  469. Chronicler: And make that Medicine check.
  470. DNA: I'll let Avara choose who gets the benefit.
  471. DNA: Ah, okay, here's another one:
  472. Chronicler: How'd you roll the exa---
  473. DNA: I'm sorry?
  474. DNA: Is there something you'd like to share with the class?
  475. Avara: cut off to let you finish
  476. Chronicler: Saturn manages to treat Rochette just as the symptoms show up. Rochette will make a speedy recovery and her symptoms will not worsen but for the next 24 hours, her symptoms will remain.
  477. DNA: (Ah good. That's what happened to me, so Rochette should be okay.)
  478. Chronicler: So, for 1 day, Rochette will have -2 Body and that injury. Then it'll heal. (make a note of that Ava because I'll forget and still think you have the disease)
  479. Avara: i'll forget too.
  480. Avara: DNA, make a note?
  481. Chronicler: Make a note on your token?
  482. Avara: idon'tknow. i wouldn't remember to check the token most likely, unless someone brings it up that week
  483. Chronicler: Now, considering the time I think this is a good stopping point.
  484. * TrulHost makes a note
  485. Chronicler: Unfortunate for Trul nothing really happened. Fortunately for Trul, everyone healed and will likely do things next time.
  486. TrulHost: Stuff happened!
  487. DNA: The note has been left on my box token.
  488. Chloe Blanchett: Trul joined the party, which is important.
  489. TrulHost: just not fighty stuff
  490. Chronicler: So: TXP=4
  491. Avara: we recruited trul and got out of the 2+ month cave
  492. Chronicler: PKMN XP: = 25
  493. DNA: We appear to be up to Level 5.7
  494. Chloe Blanchett: yep
  495. DNA: And this 25 is to anyone I wish, right?
  496. Chronicler: For Trul, this XP will just stack up and dump into the first Pokemon you capture.
  497. Chronicler: Anyone yes.
  498. Chronicler: Anymon XP.
  499. TrulHost: ok
  500. * TrulHost goes to make a pokemon page
  501. Chronicler: Saving campaign and log.
  502. DNA: Will keep in mind, as I train off-screen.
  503. Avara: ... apparently roland hit level 15 and i forgot to "evolve" him
  504. Chronicler: Oh, nice.
  505. DNA: Wait, he evolves at-
  506. DNA: oh right, I'M the one who has the late bloomer
  507. Avara: yeah
  508. Chronicler: People still need this open?
  509. Chloe Blanchett: nope, I'm good
  510. DNA: I don't; I'll just be working off of it anyway.
  511. Avara: should be good. 25 pxp to distribute.
  512. Chloe is disconnected.
  513. Avara: cya
  514. Avara is disconnected.
  515. Eclipse is disconnected.
  516. TrulHost is disconnected.
  517. Kaorin Sakura is disconnected.
  518. You have disconnected.
