  1. <Darkling> Wind whips snow around your body and face in periodic gusts. Ice stretches as far as you can see in all directions, the sun has gone down, the moon bright in the sky, the black moon an ominous shadow that excludes all light.
  2. <Wilhelm_Faustus> How did he get out here? More importantly, why wasn't he concerned? He looks down at himself.
  3. <Darkling> Naked. That's pretty strange too don't you think?
  4. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Is it? He looks ahead of himself, running a hand through his hair. No point in just standing here. He starts walking, snow crunching beneath his feet.
  5. <Darkling> Another gust of wind, it feels nice on your skin.
  6. <Wilhelm_Faustus> No thought of the dome, the other pilots, his mission. None of it crosses his mind as he walks, looking for something thats a mystery to him.
  7. <Darkling> Ice. More ice. Even more ice. It just goes on.
  8. <Wilhelm_Faustus> It felt right out here. The wind kissing his skin as it passed, the snow beneath his feet and the moons in the sky. But...was this really it?
  9. <Darkling> Was there supposed to be more?
  10. <Mr_Rage> Perhaps~
  11. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Was there? He reaches to adjust his glasses, briefly confused by their absence. He can't help but stop to look around...
  12. <Darkling> Another breeze brushes past, more alien feeling, but it passes.
  13. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He starts walking again...but he starts picking up speed. Before he realizes it, he's running now. As fast as he can across the endless white barrens.
  14. <Darkling> The snow and ice still stretches on endlessly, passing under your feet miles at a time.
  15. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Well, this isn't getting him anywhere, is it? Maybe if he could see out further, or if he had wings. The power to fly.
  16. <Darkling> Weren't you flying before? You're already off the ground if you didn't notice.
  17. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Maybe he was. He must have been distracted by something. He gives another look around himself. This peaceful place was lonely, and something about it was starting to scare him.
  18. <Darkling> Lonely? Maybe you should have some company.
  19. <Wilhelm_Faustus> But who? He was the only one here...
  20. <Mr_Rage> I don't count, huh?
  21. <Darkling> No, not really.
  22. <Darkling> Who does then?
  23. <Mr_Rage> You suck, Superego.
  24. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...shut up..."
  25. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He didn't have a mother or a father...he couldn't long for something he never had. The best he had was Freyja, he loved her on some level. There was Icelin...she understood, right?
  26. <Darkling> Would you share the whole world with them?
  27. <Wilhelm_Faustus> No...in the end they weren't like him, were they?
  28. <Wilhelm_Faustus> In the end, there were only two. Null Drei was one of them. But...he was Null Drei as well, wasn't he? They were the same.
  29. <Mr_Rage> Oh, sure, Null Drei gets to count.
  30. <Darkling> But Null Drei is in front of you, you can't be the same if you're both here as separate entities?
  31. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He tilts his head. Null Drei...wasn't she supposed to be bigger than him?
  32. <Darkling> That isn't of consequence. You have company now at least.
  33. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Yes, he does. Another one nagged at the edge of his thoughts as he reaches a hand out toward Null Drei.
  34. <Darkling> Null Drei reaches out, images flash through your mind. Glowing blue lines you can't comprehend.
  35. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He shakes his head. What?
  36. <Darkling> Less intense this time, but still confusing. Null Drei takes your hand.
  37. <Wilhelm_Faustus> This is right, isn't it? He moves in closer. This is how it should be, where he should be. What he should be doing.
  38. <Mr_Rage> Pah! 'Should' is a suggestion.
  39. <Darkling> Null Drei moves in closer too. It does feel right, whatever it is you're doing.
  40. <Darkling> Seems you're lying in the snow now, Null Drei on top, this is interesting.
  41. <Wilhelm_Faustus> His hands run along its form, only vaguely aware of the armor it still wore. When his hands reached the helmet he wanted to take it off, what was beneath it?
  42. <Darkling> Everything else seems to black out. Just you, Null Drei, and a deep black shadow that eclipses everything.
  43. <Wilhelm_Faustus> His gaze moves, eyes rolling, searching out the source of the shadow.
  44. <Darkling> It's above you, coming down, something large and black.
  45. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He sits up, propped up by his arms. What is it?
  46. <Darkling> Null Drei pushes you back down to the ice. She's stronger than you after all, and wants to finish.
  47. <Wilhelm_Faustus> That's fine...he stares up, only partially aware of his mutual participation in intercourse with Null Drei. Its a warm feeling that makes his mind swim, but a part of it has narrowed to focus on the approaching object.
  48. <Darkling> A shudder from Null Drei, something more from yourself, this definitely felt right.
  49. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Hes almost forgotten about the shadow now. Here with Null Drei like this, what else was there?
  50. <Darkling> Null Drei rolls, laying in the snow alongside you. That shadow is looming closer, it's size increasing at an exponential rate.
  51. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He sits up again, looking down to Null Drei, then staring up. When would it reach them, he wondered?
  52. <Darkling> Null Drei pulls you, averting your attention back to her.
  53. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He obliges, reluctantly. He lowers himself down next to her, touching where he pleases. For a moment he things of another girl with mismatched eyes, biting his lip as they kiss.
  54. <Darkling> You look to Null Drei, but something makes you look back up, Null Drei pulls you back to her, but the sensuality of her is gone, replaced by steel and cold diamond eyes. You look back up, what do you see? Oh Sh--
  55. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He sits up with a cry, panting, trashing to get free of his sheets.
  56. <Darkling> Your room is colder than normal, or is that just you? frost crunches under your fingers and they dig into the bedsheets.
  57. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He gets out of bed as quick as he can, looking down to the sheets and cover. Frost? He runs his fingers along it, fingertips digging in.
  58. <Darkling> It melts at your touch, soaking the sheets. Maybe you were just sweating profusely and it's your mind playing tricks on you again in the twilight hours.
  59. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He shakes his head, backing up through his room. He bumps into the door and opens it, stumbling into the hall. A strange sense of fear still grips his, distance memories of the dream chasing him through the hall and into the common room. He needs to clear his head.
  60. Corrin opens the door to his room and looks out, bleary-eyed.
  61. <Wilhelm_Faustus> What was that all about? What had he done? He pulls at his hair, pacing the common room now.
  62. Corrin steps out, glancing at the open door to the other pilot's room.
  63. <Wilhelm_Faustus> The end of the dream, it bothered him the most. That was real, mortal fear he'd felt. He managed to open the door to the balcony and step up, scrambling his way up the ladder to the roof.
  64. <Mr_Rage> A chunk of Israeli is filling your spot, Wilhelm. Not a good spot for peace.
  65. Corrin follows the noise, shaking off the last dregs of sleep as he walks.
  66. <Wilhelm_Faustus> ". . ."
  67. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Back down the ladder and into the common room. What the hell was she doing there at this hour?
  68. <Corrin> "Pilot Wilhelm." Corrin greets him. "Were you making all that noise?"
  69. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...yes." He's wandering toward the elevator now.
  70. <Corrin> "Where are you going?"
  71. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...roof was occupied." He stares at himself in the chrome doors as he waits for the elevator.
  72. <Corrin> "Does the Captain know?" Corrin persists. "You should check it with him first."
  73. <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...it'll be fine, be back to sleep..." He steps into the elevator and hits a button, heading for the lobby.
  74. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja exits her room, her hair a bit wet. She approaches at a quick pace, but looks tired. "Hello, pilots."
  75. <Corrin> "Pilot Lahja." Corrin responds with a nod. "Did you get woken up too?"
  76. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "No... I heard the noise, but I was in the shower." She nods in return, covering her mouth with her hand. "Had a stupid dream."
  77. <Corrin> "Dreams are always stupid." Corrin mutters. "Useless, distracting. Be better without them."
  78. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Out the lobby and into the street. He doesn't notice his lack of shoes, having just enough sense about him to head for the base.
  79. Corrin says this with a surprising amount of venom.
  80. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I like some of them, sometimes." She says quietly, watching Wilhelm leave. "Where is he going?"
  81. <Corrin> "No idea, but we should tell the Captain. Said something about the roof being occupied."
  82. Corrin is mostly awake now, rubbing one eye as he speaks.
  83. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I agree. Is he alright?" She has a hint of concern in her voice, and despite still being tired, she seems strangely eager to awaken Lit.
  84. Corrin shrugs. "Come on."
  85. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Now and again, as he walks, he has to look up, fearing he'll see that mouth ready to devour him. He can see the black pyramid in the distance.
  86. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja follows with a nod.
  87. Corrin hesitates outside Lit's door, then knocks. "Sir? Captain Skar..Skäldbjorn?" he calls, stumbling over the man's name.
  88. <Darkling> Snoring can be heard from the room. He's a pretty deep sleeper.
  89. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja quietly stands near the door, reflecting on the name. Skäldbjorn. What a silly sounding name. She liked Captain Waffleface better, but wasn't about to let anyone know that.
  90. <Corrin> "...hell." Corrin mutters as the snoring continues to sound through the door, then inhales deeply. "Captain! Sir! There's a problem!"
  91. <Darkling> *THUMP* The floor vibrates a little.
  92. Corrin waits.
  93. <Corrin> "Sir?"
  94. <Darkling> A grumble, and the door swings up, Lit squints out. "Eh, what's going on?" He mumbles through his beard.
  95. <Corrin> "Sorry to wake you, sir, but it's Pilot Wilhelm. He's left the building."
  96. <Darkling> He rubs his eyes. "And, you let him?" He blinks a few more times. "Someone get Rasia, and gets some clothes on, we'll go get him."
  97. <Wilhelm_Faustus> As the pyramid looms over his starts passing the forest area they'd played paintball in.
  98. <Corrin> "Yes, sir!" Corrin responds at once, then breaks into a run.
  99. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I'll get my clothes..." She wanders off in a daze, going to her room to dress.
  100. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He passes a few guards here and there, but none of them stop him. Thats fine, he has someplace to be.
  101. Corrin throws on his clothes and shoes in a hurry, then rushes back out. He tries Rasia's door, after a brief moment of hestitation. Whatever her...personality, he has orders.
  102. <Mr_Rage> The door swings open, revealing an empty bed. A black notebook pokes out from under her pillow.
  103. <Darkling> Lit is ready and waiting by the elevator.
  104. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja is a bit less hasty about dressing. She eventually exits, keeping her brush in hand and brushing her hair as she walks. She goes to the balcony, then climbs up toward the roof, remembering the comment about it being occupied.
  105. Corrin doesn't give the notebook a second glance, instead running back towards the common room, leaving the room doors open behind him. Pilot Wilhelm had said something about the roof, right?
  106. <Mr_Rage> Rasia lifts her head, eyes turning to look at the copilots. A toothy yawn, and she gets to her feet, rolling her nightgown back down.
  107. <Corrin> "Pilot Rasia." Corrin says at once. "The Captain wants you at the elevator. Now."
  108. <Mr_Rage> She growls, low and ominous, picking rocks out of her skin and clambering down the ladder.
  109. <Corrin> "Come on!"
  110. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Wilhelm issues." She climbs down afterwards at a quick pace, gradually waking up a bit.
  111. <Mr_Rage> To the elevator!
  112. <Corrin> "We're ready, sir!" Corrin announces.
  113. <Darkling> The elevator opens and he steps in.
  114. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja heads on inside as well.
  115. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He slips into the base without any trouble, making his way through the hallways. Even if he doesn't realize it, his subconscious is leading him.
  116. Corrin steps inside, glancing at his fellow pilots. He seems to be almost bouncing off the walls with restrained energy.
  117. <Darkling> They reach the bottom and step out into the street. No APC waiting for them this time, but an army jeep. Li gets in the drivers seat.
  118. Rasia curls up in the passenger's seat, growling. If he keeps finding new places to hide, it'll take forever to mark it all...
  119. Corrin clambers into the back.
  120. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja hops in the back. She rubs her eyes, doing her best to force herself to awareness.
  121. <Darkling> And they're off. Wind whips through everyone's hair as Lit speeds through the city.
  122. Corrin peers out at the passing landscape, simply enjoying the breeze on some level.
  123. <Wilhelm_Faustus> There she is...he walks acoss the platform and stops, staring at her.
  124. <Darkling> Her bulky armor is back on, no feminine figure here, but oddly comforting to see.
  125. <Darkling> The black pyramid is ahead. Coming in quickly.
  126. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He sighs, rubbing at his eyes. Did he leave his glasses behind? "...was that you that did that?"
  127. <Darkling> No response, but did you really expect one?
  128. <Wilhelm_Faustus> I suppose I didn't.
  129. <Darkling> Trees whip past as they drive through the surrounding forest.
  130. Rasia bares her teeth, alertness returning in the breeze.
  131. <Corrin> "No paintballs this time." Corrin comments to Lahja.
  132. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I doubt we'll need to shoot anyone." Lahja responds, looking about from left to right as the vehicle zooms off.
  133. <Corrin> "Or throw rocks at him."
  134. <Darkling> Then blackness as you tear through the underground passage. How'd Lit know where to go anyways?
  135. Corrin doesn't ask. It's not his place, and the Captain knows what he's doing.
  136. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Do you believe he's alright, sir?"
  137. <Darkling> Lit taps a glowing tablet on the dashboard. "He should be fine."
  138. <Darkling> They burst into the hangers, and Lit speeds all the way to the far end, skidding to a halt, the smell of burning rubber fills the air. "Come on." He jumps out.
  139. Corrin was about to speak, but jerks his head around, then jumps out. "Yes, sir!"
  140. <Mr_Rage> Rasia actually jumps over the windshield, leaving a dent in the hood.
  141. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja quickly hops out. Seems she's up to full alertness now.
  142. <Corrin> "Where are we going, sir?" Corrin asks eagerly.
  143. <Darkling> He leads them into the freight elevator. "To find Wilhelm."
  144. Corrin nods, shutting up.
  145. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja follows along, and despite Lit appearing to have a good idea of where Wilhelm is, she never stops glancing about.
  146. <Darkling> The base is much different at night. Everything is darker, small lights line the hallways and walkways, much like in a theater, not that you've been to a proper one.
  147. Corrin follows the Captain, blinking as his eyes adjust to the light.
  148. <Darkling> The base is all but deserted, only a few guards are seen here and there.
  149. <Mr_Rage> Rasia's bare feet roll and bounce with ease, her senses almost unimpaired despite the darkness.
  150. Corrin 's gaze moves to the other pilot and to the Captain from time to time, then back to their surroundings, as the group makes their way down the corridors.
  151. <Darkling> A familiar door is ahead. The Cages.
  152. <Mr_Rage> She growls, hair pricking up.
  153. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja gives the door a questioning look, wondering why here, of all places.
  154. Corrin looks at the door dubiously, but is silent.
  155. <Darkling> Lit almost barrels through it, stopping to swipe his access card and open the door before heading through.
  156. Corrin follows immediately after him.
  157. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja waits. She's expecting Rasia to charge through at any moment.
  158. Wilhelm_Faustus stands in front of Null Drei, staring into its face. He's still in his PJs, feet bare and without glasses. Just...staring.
  159. <Corrin> "What're you doing?" Corrin blurts out.
  160. <Darkling> Lit stops in his tracks, panting a bit. Too much running for him.
  161. <Mr_Rage> Rasia isn't nearly so polite, getting right up in Wilhelm's space, glaring at the Aryan.
  162. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He doesn't look away, not even acknowledging the presence of the others.
  163. <Corrin> "Pilot Wilhelm!" Corrin calls.
  164. <Mr_Rage> She bites him. On the shoulder.
  165. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He blinks and finally looks away, to you Rasia.
  166. <Lahja_Ilvainen> The last to come in, Lahja simply looks over to Wilhelm calmly. After the recent revelation about Wilhelm this doesn't seem to inspire much more than a mild curiousity.
  167. <Mr_Rage> Her teeth leave lines when she drags them off. Her eyes turn towards Null Drei. Challenging?
  168. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He's still looking at you Rasia, and there's something wrong with his eyes. Are they leaking?
  169. <Corrin> "Pilot Rasia?" Corrin says warily, taking a step towards the pair. He glances at the Captain, questioningly.
  170. <Mr_Rage> An odd look. She watches a drop all the way to his chin.
  171. <Darkling> Lit's leaning on a beam, breathing heavily. He looks like he thinks things are fine though.
  172. <Lahja_Ilvainen> "We were worried, Wilhelm." she says calmly, containing whatever this is bringing up in her beyond sleep deprivation and curiousity, if anything.
  173. Corrin doesn't snort, but quickly glances at the other pilot.
  174. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He wipes at his eyes with an arm. He looks like a child that woke up from a horrible dream.
  175. <Mr_Rage> Her teeth click. Even the non-telepathic can see her mind straining, wheels grinding.
  176. <Wilhelm_Faustus> Something in Lahja's voice draws him toward her. A tone in her voice he's unfamiliar with.
  177. <Corrin> "Why come here?" Corrin asks absently.
  178. <Mr_Rage> Mouth falling open, she watches the boy move past her. They clench after a heartbeat.
  179. <Wilhelm_Faustus> He doesn't make it to you Lahja, collapsing instead.
  180. <Mr_Rage> A twitch of the nose. Her head jerks to look at Lahja and Drei, lip curling.
  181. <Corrin> "Sir?" Corrin asks, looking to Lit.
  182. <Mr_Rage> Down on all fours, she creeps closer.
  183. <Darkling> He moves over to Wil, kneeling down to check his vitals.
  184. <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja walks a few tired steps closer, letting her eyes slip down into their customary half-mast position. She stops for a moment as he collapses, perhaps taking note of Rasia, but eventually her advance continues.
  185. Corrin follows, standing behind the kneeling Captain.
  186. <Darkling> "Everything seeming fine," he scoops up Wil as if he weighed nothing. "Let's get him to the infirmary just to be sure."
