  2. Kaorin Sakura has connected.
  3. Trulhammaren has connected.
  4. Eclipse has connected.
  5. Avara has connected.
  6. Kaorin Sakura: So, we are agreed for an Extended Rest?
  7. Trulhammaren: yes
  8. Avara: alrighty then
  9. Finch: Finch trains and obtains 7.00 EXP!
  10. Finch: That number looks oddly low; lemme double check
  11. * Valerie Ylsef spends $1000 and doesn't heal or anything during the rest
  12. Finch: Nope, that's right
  13. Sacrama: Sacrama trains and obtains 5.75 EXP!
  14. Ülang: Ülang is healed and gains 29 hit points.
  15. DNA: Nobody leveled up from that.
  16. Domino : Domino is healed and gains 58 hit points.
  17. Phyllis: Phyllis is healed and gains 10 hit points.
  18. Natasha: Natasha recovered 6 HP!
  19. Avara is disconnected.
  20. Avara is disconnected.
  21. Trulhammaren: nnnnnuuuuuuuuuuuu
  22. Avara has connected.
  23. Kaorin Sakura: Would anyone like to give a recap?
  24. DNA: We made another 5 yards of progress. While doing so, we promised a stone golem that we'd find its creator, punch it in the dick, then steal its control rod.
  25. DNA: Then we rested.
  26. Avara: hurray for dnd style dungeon progression?
  27. Kaorin Sakura: ...Huh. Yeah. This is a typical 'dungeon delve' style thing.
  28. Kaorin Sakura: Except....slower because Pokemon battles.
  29. Avara: yeah.
  30. Avara: hm.
  31. Kaorin Sakura: Unintentional. But anyways!
  32. Chronicler: You awaken after 6 hours of resting in the cramped room with the singular door.
  33. Valerie Ylsef : "Well, uh....that was interesting..."
  34. * Saturn Rosewell had spent a lot of that time poring over one of the bright gems that she'd gotten from Alsine's pillar, way back when.
  35. * Valerie Ylsef turns her hand back and forth not entirely cure how to feel about her hand absorbing the Pyromancy Flame.
  36. Valerie Ylsef : ((*sure))
  37. Saturn Rosewell: At one point, she squeezed it a bit too tightly, and it shattered. Rather than flying outward, all of its energy seemed to be absorbed into her.
  38. Chronicler: (( Hold on ))
  39. Chronicler: (( New headphones I bought SOMEHOW broke. >:/ So I had to get the ones with a short in it. ))
  40. Avara: =(
  41. Chronicler: (( Yeah. I have no idea how it happened. But the left earplug doesn't work. It did yesterday. But anyways, I have music so let's continue. ))
  42. Valerie Ylsef : "Well, we aren't gonna find who or want we are looking for just sitting around, so let's get ready to shove off."
  43. Saturn Rosewell: "Right, yeah...we should, um...get going." She gulped quietly.
  44. Rochette: "Right. Lead the way, Valerie."
  45. Valerie Ylsef : ((I assume that is a door and legit?))
  46. Chronicler: It is.
  47. Saturn Rosewell: "I'll, uh...I'll bring up the rear guard, I guess..."
  48. * Valerie Ylsef attempts to open the door and continue onward
  49. Rochette: (( is there a clear spot near where the front of the line is? ))
  50. Chronicler: Oh yes.
  51. Chronicler: You're in a Mausoleum. Or under it now. The passage ways are narrow.
  52. Valerie Ylsef : ((Val,Ro,Saturn,Ülang?))
  53. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Is the aura sensing still restricted?
  54. Valerie Ylsef : ((with natasha in there somewhere))
  55. Saturn Rosewell: Natasha sits on Saturn's hat, so they occupy the same space essentially.
  56. Chronicler whispers: It is, yes.
  57. Rochette must wait 2.943 seconds before it may move again!
  58. Valerie Ylsef : "Seems safe so far."
  59. * Valerie Ylsef attemtps to open the next door.
  60. Chronicler: Give me a moment.
  61. Chronicler: A narrow stone landing connects to a bridge built of rope and wood, apparently placed to cross a natural crevice here. The crevice is tight where it connects to this passage, and it isn't much wider below you, though you can tell it contains some water. Gray with age, the bridge still seems sturdy. At its far end, perhaps 10 meters away, the bridge connects to another landing and a wider chamber.
  62. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Being Radiant, can Saturn's Aura sense now differentiate between Shadow, Radiant, and Neither?
  63. Chronicler whispers: Yes it can differentiate.
  64. Valerie Ylsef : "Well I guess we have to cross.."
  65. Chronicler whispers: Also you sense unusual aura about the water below the bridge. And in an almost spherical shape, you can feel a pulse of life along the eastern side of the water.
  66. * Valerie Ylsef moves across at a cautious pace.
  67. Chronicler: Alright!
  68. Chronicler: So, let me do this thing and then explain.
  69. Chronicler: Hold up Trul.
  70. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: How is it unusual? And how far below is this water?
  71. Chronicler whispers:
  72. Chronicler: As Valerie steps onto the bridge it creaks loudly when bearing her weight and sways. The stable appearance of this bridge obviously betrays how much it's aged.
  73. Chronicler: You are now dealing with an unstable bridge with a landing far below. And to this, there are a few rules!
  74. Chronicler: You can safely move across the bridge by holding onto the rope rails with both hands and moving at quarter speed. Otherwise, crossing the bridge requires a DC per 5 of each hand not used to cross, and a penalty of -5 of moving at half speed and another -5 for full speed. Failure by 1-4 means no progress is made while failure by more than 4 means you fall off the bridge and suffer whatever consequences that brings.
  75. Chronicler: ^ This is general bridge crossing, or similar, rules.
  76. Saturn Rosewell: "Val, wait, there's something weird down below. And that bridge doesn't look stable."
  77. Chronicler: There is a reason why Sky Speed and/or Levitate Speed is amazeballs.
  78. * Valerie Ylsef grabs the rope.
  79. Valerie Ylsef : "No kidding."
  80. Saturn Rosewell: "Wait. We can carry you guys across."
  81. Chronicler whispers: Its unusual because the water has aura not unlike normal water. Almost like its alive.
  82. Chronicler whispers: And the drop is 5 meters.
  83. Valerie Ylsef : ((could you move Ulang where I can click on him?))
  84. Saturn Rosewell: "There's something really strange in the water. Like it's alive or something. I'd rather not risk you guys falling."
  85. Valerie Ylsef : ((her*))
  86. Ülang: "Should be able to carry someone as well."
  87. Eclipse: I don't remember Saturn's power rating off hand, though I THINK she can assist carrying Valerie...
  88. Ülang: ((Ulang can handle either person I beleive
  89. Natasha: Natasha can handle a human being, of that I am sure
  90. Chronicler: Merely lifting someone and lifting someone while levitating/flying are two different things.
  91. Ülang: ((can handle up to 115 lbs and be safe to wallclimb over
  92. Ülang: ((or should be able to rather))
  93. Chronicler: Wallclimbing is no different, however.
  94. Natasha: How are they different?
  95. Chronicler: While not levitating or flying, you can lift and carry someone under your max carrying weight. Exceeding that and you are overencumbered.
  96. Chronicler: However, when attempting to levitate or fly you need to be at leave under 75% of your max carry weight. Going above that and you are unable to leave the ground.
  97. Ülang: ((ph max carry, then anyone will be fine))
  98. Chronicler: First leave should be least.
  99. Ülang: ((pretty sure everyone human in the party weighs less than 230 lbs))
  100. Eclipse: 75% of max carrying weight, checking that...
  101. Natasha: For Natasha, that is 75 lbs. For Saturn, that is 172.50 lbs.
  102. Natasha: ...75? dangit Natasha
  103. Saturn Rosewell: I assume, then, that Ulang will take one of them over, and Saturn the other.
  104. Ülang: ((That's the plan))
  105. Ülang: ((pretty sure Val weighs less than Ro, so Saturn can grab her, to be on the safe side))
  106. DNA: Probably, yeah. I recall Valerie being almost as light as Saturn.
  107. Ülang: 95
  108. DNA: 94.3
  109. DNA: yep
  110. DNA: Then, Floating Bridge is a go.
  111. Ülang: "Miss Ro, if you would grab my shoulders, I will escort you across."
  112. Chronicler: I didn't hear how much Rochette weighs.
  113. Ülang: ((less than 230 I assume))
  114. Chronicler: Oh. 145.
  115. Saturn Rosewell: "Here, Valerie, walk with me. We'll take it one step at a time."
  116. * Rochette equips herself to Ulang's shoulder slot.
  117. Valerie Ylsef : "*mumblegrumblestupidricketybridgesgrumblemumble."
  118. Rochette: ((ulang?))
  119. * Ülang scitters across the wall with Ro attached.
  120. Chronicler: Screw you guys. I was hoping this would've taken up like, 2 hours.
  121. Chronicler: I mean uh, congratulations! You avoided stuff!
  122. Saturn Rosewell: How do you forget I have Levitate speed?
  123. Rochette: (( if we didn't do something like this, i was gonna have fens use something like Threaded. ))
  124. Ülang: ((other option was to toss Targkon over and just thread everyone to him
  125. Chronicler: I didn't. But I knew you wouldn't be able to carry everyone. But I commend folks for their ingenuity.
  126. Chronicler: Smooth stone littered with small bits of broken rock and dirt makes up the floor of this chamber. The door to the northwest is shut and intact but remnants of the south door are propped up against a ruined frame and a badly cracked wall.
  127. DNA: It's called 'making return trips'! But I digress.
  128. Chronicler: I don't believe Saturn can carry Rochette and still levitate/fly.
  129. Saturn Rosewell: "...I get the feeling, someone's been through here."
  130. Valerie Ylsef : "Agreed."
  131. Eclipse: I established that Saturn could lift up to 172.5 lbs when floating. Rochette is covered.
  132. * Rochette checks for tracks, disturbed dust, or other signs of someone coming through here. Perception.
  133. Eclipse: DNA - Screwing up the GM's plans since 2012.
  134. Valerie Ylsef : "The question is do we follow the carnage or leave it to luck to not have it come up behind us?"
  135. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Saturn is going to use Intuition to sense behind the locked door, 5d6+1 .
  136. Chronicler whispers: After passing over the bridge to the other side, you can sense the presence of a slime-like creature in the water. It pops up briefly upon the surface and becoming visible before returning into the water and becoming invisible in it.
  137. It seems that creature is what you would deal with should you have fallen.
  138. Chronicler whispers: Saturn is unable to sense through the door to the northwest.
  139. Chronicler: Still there guys?
  140. Eclipse: I am
  141. Rochette: (( hadouken! ))
  142. Rochette: (( waiting for a skill check result ))
  143. Chronicler: Oh.
  144. Chronicler: I missed that.
  145. Rochette: "The south door was broken inwards forcibly... not really sure what they used to do it. That's probably where the enemy is, then."
  146. Saturn Rosewell: "It's possible. And the northwest door is shut tight. I have no idea what's beyond it."
  147. Valerie Ylsef : "Into the rubble we go then."
  148. Rochette: "Better to walk into an ambush ready to counter, than to let the enemy sneak up behind us."
  149. Saturn Rosewell: "...yeah..."
  150. * Valerie Ylsef heads through the broken doorway
  151. * Rochette does the following thing!
  152. * Saturn Rosewell brings up the rear guard, and enters last.
  153. Chronicler: I made need to badly map.
  154. Chronicler: Shattered stone and fresh dirt cover the slick floor of this devastated chamber. Judging by the remnants of masonry and floor tiles, this area was once part of the tomb complex. A rope ladder hangs near the broken door, leading up into the darkness. Just beyond it to the east, the slippery floor gives way to a shallow pool.
  155. Chronicler: Oh, nah. Not really. Continue.
  156. Valerie Ylsef : "Upwards then. I suppose."
  157. Rochette: "After you."
  158. Valerie Ylsef : ((is it possible to climb and use my glowy fireball hand? or would checks be involved))
  159. Rochette: (( is it dark going up or are there more torches? ))
  160. Natasha: hi, I glow
  161. Valerie Ylsef : ((your light won't reach very far infront of me))
  162. Chronicler: You have to hold the glame. And you can give it to someone else iirc. But yes, Natasha also glows. But not as brightly as the flame.
  163. Rochette: (( and the torches question? ))
  164. Chronicler: And it is dark. You cannot effectively climb and hold anything.
  165. Chronicler: Oh, torches. No, there are no torches along the walls up the shaft.
  166. Valerie Ylsef : "Natasha I need you to be up with me while we ascend."
  167. Rochette: "If you're nervous about the dark, I can go up first. I can see in the dark just fine."
  168. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Do Radiants glow at all? Just curious.
  169. Natasha: "Ah?"
  170. * Rochette repeats Valerie's words in kanto poke.
  171. Natasha: "Ahhhhhhhhhh."
  172. Chronicler whispers: No
  173. * Natasha sits on Valerie's head.
  174. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Didn't think so, but juuuuuuuuuust examining all the possibilities.
  175. * Valerie Ylsef climbs le rope!
  176. DNA: Hopefully it will lead to an elevator!
  177. * Rochette will let Valerie get about two to three yards lead before following.
  178. Trulhammaren: indeed!
  179. Chronicler: Is Valerie the only one climbing?
  180. * Saturn Rosewell will climb a few yards behind Rochette, in similar fashion.
  181. Avara: if the ladder seems strong enough to support two, ro will climb too
  182. * Ülang will climb walls if possible
  183. Chronicler: There are walls to climb yes.
  184. Saturn Rosewell: because apparently Levitate requires there be some kind of floor.
  185. Chronicler: Levitate has a ceiling cap for height, yes.
  186. Ülang: (yes)
  187. Saturn Rosewell: (I'm aware... ;-; )
  188. Ülang: ((did not see stuff!))
  189. Valerie Ylsef : "Get ready for a decent climb."
  190. Valerie Ylsef : "And a tight squeeze."
  191. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: How far ahead can Natasha see with the glow and flame and whatnot?
  192. Chronicler: I'll drop this for everyone climbing.
  193. Chronicler: When you get your first hold of the rope ladder, you can look up and see that it leads into a shaft in the ceiling. The ceiling itself is 3-meters high, but the shaft appears to go 12 meters above that.
  194. The shaft is narrow, only 1.5-meters wide.
  195. Chronicler: Also, is Natasha just glowing or is she holding the flame?
  196. Chronicler: Because light sources don't stack.
  197. Natasha: Just glowin'.
  198. Avara: glowing, i'd say. because she wanted to eat the flame
  199. Natasha: And I would have, too, were it not for demons 'n shit!
  200. Valerie Ylsef : ((no flame this time!))
  201. Chronicler: So, the order is: Valerie w/ Natasha, Rochette, Saturn, Ulang?
  202. Valerie Ylsef : ((yes))
  203. DNA: I think so, with about 2 yards of space between each one.
  204. Avara: brb/afk
  205. Valerie Ylsef : ((Ulang is actually just on Saturns heels as she is climbing the wall and not the rope))
  206. DNA: Ah, okay. Still, they can't climb abreast, so Ulang would be just behind, yes
  207. Chronicler: You ascend 9-meters without hassle.
  208. DNA: That means there's still 6 metres left...
  209. Chronicler whispers: However, with the glow, Valerie and Natasha can spot a creature waiting near the exit at the top. A spindly creature snarls through its oversized sharp teeth. It resembles a hairless, carnivorous chimp that has tentaclelike limbs, each ending in spiny, handlike appendages
  210. Chronicler whispers: It appears to be sticking to the walls similar to how Ulang does.
  211. Natasha: "...eep."
  212. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Is it actually watching us and waiting for us, or does it just happen to be at the top?
  213. Valerie Ylsef : "Uh...hairless monkey with a nasty overbite ahead."
  214. Chronicler whispers: It's looking at you, disliking your light.
  215. Valerie Ylsef : "Or above rather."
  216. Natasha: In Pokemon Kantonese, Natasha tries to reason with it. (Uh, can we please, ascend? We won't hurt you if you don't attack us, I promise. Pretty please?) Putting on the Charm, 6d6+6 !
  217. DNA: ...My inner curiosity wants to know what I actually got on that roll. Don't care too much about the DC, just the roll, or at least if it was above 32.
  218. Valerie Ylsef : ((it was a 12 >.>))
  219. DNA: don't lie to me
  220. Creature: "Du skal ikke passere! Fortsett og jeg vil slippe deg gjøre dine dødsfall!"
  221. DNA: and of course alsine is nowhere to be found
  222. Creature: Creature perches 2-meters below the exit onto the rope ladder, staring directly at Natasha and Valerie, hissing angrily.
  223. Natasha: Changing tacts, Natasha starts speaking in Hoennese instead. (Oh! You speak a language similar to mine! Hi! How are you?)
  224. Natasha: Unsure if that requires another Charm roll, though I think I already wasted it.
  225. Avara: (( back ))
  226. Rochette: "(Try turning off your light.)" (pokemon kanto)
  227. Natasha: Taking Rochette's suggestion, as a gesture of goodwill, Natasha dims her light. She doesn't turn it off completely as the trainers below still need to see, but now she's not so blindingly bright.
  228. DNA: hmmdeehmm...
  229. Avara: dakka dakka dakka dakka dakka
  230. Creature: "Du snakker idiotisk, red thing! Snu og gå tilbake der du kom!"
  231. Natasha: "R-red thing!?" *sniffle*
  232. Creature: (( Which should've been rød ting. Stupid translate ))
  233. DNA: I could kinda grasp what it said from the rest of its statement, yeah...
  234. Ülang: "Jeg vil være forsiktig med hvem du truer med å slippe, hvis jeg var deg skapning."
  235. Creature: "Jeg skal ikke kreve nytt. Forsvinn."
  236. Ülang: "I suggest we do as instructed and return to the ground for the moment."
  237. Ülang: "Vi vil rette oss"
  238. * Rochette will descend.
  239. * Saturn Rosewell descends after Ulang, regrettably.
  240. * Valerie Ylsef slides back down
  241. * Natasha is still sitting on Valerie's head, and is visibly upset.
  242. Rochette: "So, does anyone have a plan to deal with this, or are we going in combatively?"
  243. Saturn Rosewell: "...hmm..."
  244. * Saturn Rosewell goes off to check the pool to the east. How deep is it? Can it be seen into? Are there any features about it?
  245. * Rochette looks up the shaft (darkvision). Can she see how high up the Creature is?
  246. Ülang: "I only suggested we return to the ground because I cannot support the entire weight of the party by myself and I beleive that creature intended to cut the rope if we did not return here."
  247. Rochette: "You can burrow, right? How's your vision in the dark?"
  248. Ülang: "However, I do think I can manage at least one person so that we may converse with the creature again and if necissary combat it."
  249. Ülang: "Regettibly my species dark vision is not very good."
  250. Rochette: "Ahh...." she sighs, then looks up to the creature and gestures for it to come closer.
  251. Creature whispers: The pool exudes similar aura to the waters underneath the bridge. It appears to be 4-meters deep and has a small 1-meter wide hole the water settles into. Likely leading to the area of the bridge.
  252. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Similar as in the slime-thing, or similar as in the other bit on the eastern end?
  253. Creature whispers: Yes.
  254. Valerie Ylsef : "Well if need be I think I could jump on the thing and force it down, plus I can use that flame ball to see with while you carry me up."
  255. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: ...I was asking which one it's similar to WHY DO YOU KEEP SAYING 'YES' TO THOSE QUESTIONS
  256. Creature whispers: Because it is both.
  257. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Wait, the slime thing in the water, and the bit on the eastern end, they're the same thing?
  258. Creature whispers: Yes.
  259. Rochette: "My darkvision is rather good, so I won't need light if I go up. I'd need a translator, though."
  260. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Huh. Didn't know that. Will keep in mind.
  261. * Rochette keeps her eyes on the creature.
  262. Valerie Ylsef : "Up to you really, I'm pretty sure I could take the fall, without too much of a problem. Wouldn't be much use in negotiating though, not exactly my forte.
  263. Ülang: "I can translate quite easily."
  264. Rochette: "Could you please call for it to come down so we can talk?"
  265. Rochette: "Or at least, ask permission to ascend for the same?"
  266. * Ülang hollers up the hole.
  267. Ülang: "Vi ber om et publikum , kan vi stige opp å snakke , eller hvis du foretrekker du ned slik at vi ikke trenger å rope ."
  268. Chronicler: Several of the creatures suddenly fall from the exit and land onto the ground with loud thuds. Their crushing weight causes the stone floor to crumble into pieces before they all look up at you.
  269. Creature: Three of these.
  270. Creature 2: One of these.
  271. DNA: Wait, WHICH stone floor?
  272. Rochette: (( it is a question mark ))
  273. Creature 2: (( The stone floor of the area with the ladder and shaft. ))
  274. DNA: The one we're standing on now, or the one that was above the ceiling?
  275. Chronicler: The one where you are.
  276. Chronicler: The floor does not cave in, it is merely broken.
  277. DNA: So, the stone floor crumbling to pieces, means th-oh, it's broken? which means what?
  278. * Ülang will act as a translater as Trul goes to grab a thing for the lady
  279. Chronicler: That it's difficult terrain if you traverse upon it. That's its immediate effect. But it also shows that these creatures do not suffer fall damage as you would and weigh immensely.
  280. DNA: so, two-fer per tile. Good to know.
  281. Rochette: "Hello. We are here for two reasons, and for these reasons need passage through. One: Several people have gone missing from the local settlement, last seen in the area of the cemetary to which this infrastructure is connected. Two: In our search for said missing persons, we came across a one-way teleportation device or artifact, and cannot go back the way we came."
  282. DNA: (Ulang is assumed to translate this.)
  284. Ülang: ((returneth))
  285. Creature 2: Creature 2 speaks in a deep and rumbling tone, "Dine problemer betyr ingenting for oss. Kanskje du burde ha vært mer intelligent i ditt valg av passasjen. Hva ville vi få i slik at du gjennom vårt mørke?"
  286. Ülang: "Your problems mean nothing to us. Perhaps you should have been more intelligent in your choice of passage. What would we gain in allowing you through our darkness? He says."
  287. Rochette: "Hrm..." she kneels down and opens her make-shift backpack, pulling out two berries (Lansat, Iapapa) and three Potions. "This berry is entirely food in purpose. This one has a chance of enhancing your perception of weak points in an enemy's body during combat, for a few minutes. These three objects... if you aim the nozzle at a wound and squeeze the trigger here," she gestures to each piece as she describes it, "you can heal minor damage. Persistent wounds will still persist, but this can extend combat effectiveness, if you can use it. If you plant the berries and help them grow, you'll have viable food and combat aids."
  289. Creature 2: Creature 2 sits upright and tilts its head, as if thinking.
  290. Creature 2: "Erstatte disse menneskelige enheter med mer bær og vi vil tillate deg gjennom vårt mørke."
  291. Ülang: "He says he wants more berries and does not want the manufactured items, and he will allow us to pass."
  292. Rochette: "Does anyone else have more berries we can give? This is all I've got."
  293. * Rochette puts away the potions.
  294. Valerie Ylsef : "I'm afraid I do not."
  295. DNA: (Chloe has some bandage and lum berries, quite a few, I forget how much of each. Saturn has none.)
  296. Saturn Rosewell: "I know Chloe has a few... I don't have any on me personally..."
  297. Valerie Ylsef : "Oh wait. Here are some, the were buried."
  298. Valerie Ylsef : ((>.>))
  299. Rochette: "Describe their function."
  300. Rochette: "One for each potion."
  301. Valerie Ylsef : "Uhh, Lums."
  302. Rochette: "Ah... these can undo afflictions like forced sleep, burns, poisons, confused states, and so on."
  303. Rochette: (so one iapapa, one lansat, and three lum)
  304. Creature 2: (( I assume Ulang translates? ))
  305. DNA: Yes.
  306. Ülang: "Ville tre bær som er i stand til å fjerne ethvert tvungen status effekt nok som erstatning?"
  307. Creature 2: "Faktisk. Vi skal ta fra deg disse matvarene og tillater deg gjennom vårt mørke. Men ..."
  308. Creature 2: "Når du kjøper fotfeste på over bakken, pass av hund."
  309. Ülang: "Vi vil , vi setter pris på advarselen."
  310. Rochette: "Given that they call it their darkness, I'm guessing they prefer not to have glowing pokemon shining their lights along the way?"
  311. Ülang: "We may pass, they warn of a 'hound' once we reach topside."
  312. Ülang: "I will ask."
  313. Creature 2: Creature 2 looks to Creature - who then rolls over to Rochette and swipes the offered berries before rolling back to Creature 2.
  314. Ülang: "Har du noe imot lyset vi bruker for å se , eller skal vi holde det nedtonet?"
  315. Creature 2: Creature 2 scoffs and looks to the side, "Bare gå."
  316. Ülang: "I would suggest a certain expediance in our ascention."
  317. Valerie Ylsef : "Huh?"
  318. * Rochette takes the lead this time.
  319. * Rochette climbs quickly!
  320. Ülang: "Climb now, and climb fast."
  321. * Saturn Rosewell doesn't wait, telling Natasha to turn off before climbing herself.
  322. Valerie Ylsef : "Rodger!"
  323. * Valerie Ylsef huffs up the rope.
  324. * Ülang bows before scuttling up the wall.
  325. Rochette: (( scavenger Unnatural Sense detection, if relevant. also Infiltrator, so no hazard triggering. ))
  326. Chronicler: Give me a moment to create this thing.
  327. DNA: TREES! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
  328. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: And while I'm thinking about it, the check to discern Shadow or Radiant subtypes is what type of action? Standard? Shift? Swift?
  329. Chronicler whispers: It's a Perception check. Standard when done actively, but I roll for passives.
  330. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: I have a 2d6+2 on mine. Don't know if that'll be enough to hit a DC10, though, doesn't passives treat all results as 3?
  331. Chronicler: You emerge from a hole that is surrounded by earth and rock. The ladder you're climbing is fastened to a post just a few feet beyond the opening, near an immense plinth of stone. Above you looms a weathered statue. Overgrown with creeper vines, it depicts a man with without flesh on his face with two unclothed maidens at his feet.. Some trees nearby are taller than the statue, which has no inscription that you can see.
  332. Chronicler whispers: No, I roll your passives.
  333. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Ah, okay.
  334. Saturn Rosewell: "...weird. ...wait, where are we? Are we outside again?"
  335. Rochette: (( if you made the statue blocking terrain, that's probably why it's invisible ))
  336. Rochette: "Hound north."
  337. You whisper to Kaorin Sakura: Intuition 5d6+1 again . Can things be sensed nearby?
  338. Chronicler: Ah, I think I know the problem
  339. Rochette: (( visible now ))
  340. DNA: dat lack of transparency tho
  341. Chronicler: I didn't want to waste time making it transparent.
  342. Valerie Ylsef : "We could but, but I'm not sure"
  343. DNA: fair enough
  344. Rochette: (( what did val say? ))
  345. Valerie Ylsef : ((answering Saturn))
  346. Valerie Ylsef : ((misplaced comma))
  347. Chronicler whispers: You can sense a creature 9-meters to the north.
  348. * Rochette equips her spear and sighs. "Saturn, life detect please."
  349. Saturn Rosewell: "...Just one thing, 9 metres north."
  350. Rochette: "No sign of the missing people?"
  351. Saturn Rosewell: "Nothing. Either they aren't here or they're not alive..."
  352. Rochette: "South, then."
  353. Saturn Rosewell: "We're heading south, then? Okay..."
  354. Rochette: "North is the hound we were warned about."
  355. Valerie Ylsef : "Ülang to keep front with Ro, I'll make sure this hound doesn't come up on us.
  356. Ülang must wait 28.561 seconds before it may move again!
  357. Rochette: (( ro's overland is a mighty 8. ))
  358. Saturn Rosewell: Saturn's is also 8
  359. Valerie Ylsef : ((as is Ulang))
  360. Chronicler: Alright, since you're moving away from things, I'm going to ask you guys to check the Region Map.
  361. DNA: Noted.
  362. Avara: ... teleporter is weirdness
  363. DNA: Maybe that bolted door was the way back in.
  364. DNA: ...just throwing that out there.
  365. Chronicler: Disregarding that, you can clearly see the sky where you are, indicating that you're outdoors. And Snowmeadow is in clear view to the southwest.
  366. Rochette: "This is probably enough information to give the local authorities a leg up on their investigation."
  367. Saturn Rosewell: "I hope so. But what if that door we couldn't go through before, what if that was the way back into the mausoleum?"
  368. Valerie Ylsef : "We have information?"
  369. Rochette: "Either they'll investigate that, or they'll send us back to investigate it." She looks to Val, "The mausoleum had dead bodies on the steps, a teleporter that lead us... here. Mysterious sealed doors. If they don't know about this place already, it might be the location of their missing people. I'd rather not have to barter back through the darkness again, so we either loop around the mausoleum again or we let them handle it."
  370. Saturn Rosewell: "Mysterious sealed doors that block sensing."
  371. Rochette: "Suspicious enough, isn't it?"
  372. Valerie Ylsef : "Ah."
  373. Saturn Rosewell: "I noticed it the whole time I was in the mausoleum. I couldn't sense anything."
  374. Saturn Rosewell: "That door was the exact same way. I couldn't tell what was beyond it."
  375. Rochette: "So, we'll give a full description of what happened to us to the authorities and see what they decide from there."
  376. Rochette: "Agreed?"
  377. Saturn Rosewell: "...Agreed..."
  378. Valerie Ylsef : "I'll go with whatever."
  379. * Saturn Rosewell seemed rather reluctant to agree. It felt like they really didn't do much of anything other than getting beat up.
  380. * Rochette leads the way back to snowmeadow.
  381. Valerie Ylsef : "Though, whether they ask us to or not, I think we owe it to ourselves to head back in. We did promise someone that we would look for someone that has earned himself a jab in the nuts."
  382. Chronicler: That being said, if you wanted to head back into the Mausoleum the Creatures would let you through. They fully expected you to run from the Hound anyway.
  383. Chronicler: Though if you'd rather head back to town and then go through the whole mausoleum again proper, that's fine with me as well.
  384. Saturn Rosewell: Is it possible to try and remember this path so we can retrace our steps to this hidden entrance if need be?
  385. Chronicler: You can mark it on your map. I have your party marker on the Region Map where you currently are.
  386. Saturn Rosewell: I'd like to do that then, as a precaution.
  387. Avara: progress! not really. but whatever i guess?
  388. Chronicler: I dropped a marker for it where you guys are.
  389. DNA: Neat.
  390. DNA: Then, how long of travel would it take to get back to Snowmeadow?
  391. Chronicler: I was actually asking if that's what you guys wanted to do.
  392. Avara: you said we can head back in. ooc.
  393. Chronicler: You can head back into town and then through the Mausoleum again proper, going through what you all already went through, or you can go back through the rope ladder entrance.
  394. Avara: but no indication of that is given IC.
  395. Chronicler: The Creatures would let you.
  396. Avara: ...
  397. Avara: *sigh* it's like i didn't even say the second thing. >>
  398. DNA: My interpretation of it is thus.
  399. DNA: we plan to return to Snowmeadow and report on what we have found. Once we do that, we will return to the mausoleum, but do so via the secret entrance northeast of town.
  400. Chronicler: Well the Creatures aren't going to ASK you to. I was just giving you guys that option.
  401. DNA: Is that roughly correct?
  402. Avara: what DNA just said is the current plan.
  403. DNA: All right. Next question, how much travel time does it take to return to Snowmeadow from this point in the woods?
  404. Chronicler: 6 hours.
  405. Chronicler: Wait, let me check my notes.
  406. DNA: You sure it isn't something like 2 hours?
  407. Chronicler: 6 hours.
  408. Chronicler: Each square of travel is 6 hours.
  409. Chronicler: Unless augmented by a change in pacing or transportation method.
  410. Avara: and the current weather?
  411. Chronicler: Weather has a much less impact.
  412. Avara: ... no.
  413. Avara: i was asking
  414. Avara: what's the weather
  415. Trulhammaren: so it'll be what 15 or so hours after we left by the time we get back?
  416. Trulhammaren: totally calling about 3 hours for whatever exploring we did
  417. Chronicler: Same Perception weather as before.
  418. Avara: ok.
  419. Chronicler: Your exploration added up to about 1 hours worth of time. Combat is short. But you guys did rest for 6 hours.
  420. Avara: while travelling is being done, may i use Pick Up?
  421. Trulhammaren: ok so 13 hours
  422. Chronicler: If you haven't today (IE, back when you left the Inn) then you can.
  423. Trulhammaren: putting us arriving about 9-10 pm?
  424. Avara: i haven't
  425. Trulhammaren: I can't remember when we left proper
  426. Avara: not sure where the table for it is
  427. Chronicler: 10:30 PM.
  428. Avara: 15 pick up roll
  429. Trulhammaren: alrighty!
  430. Avara: ah, found it
  431. Avara: any random status healing item or hp healing item
  432. DNA: You find: Legacy Potion. *shot*
  433. Avara: ... an estus flask would be a badass find
  434. Trulhammaren: woo an everfull mug!
  435. Trulhammaren: the best
  436. Chronicler: Estus Flask would be pretty bad without a magical respawning Bonfire to refill it at.
  437. DNA: We have a pyromancy flame and a talking fireball, do they count?
  438. Chronicler: No.
  439. DNA: nnnnnnnnngh
  440. Avara: so... how decide for random healing item?
  441. Trulhammaren: thats on kao
  442. DNA: I remember it being a dX of some sort, rolled privily.
  443. Trulhammaren: that sounds familiar, though its been ages since I rolled it in BC
  444. Avara: was given a link by ben
  445. Avara: thanks, kaorin!
  446. Avara: alright. so... call it here?
  447. DNA: Or at least by the time we get to the Snowmeadow entrance. I really don't care.
  448. Chronicler: You guys can return to town. And they recognize you, though they do search you again before letting you in.
  449. Trulhammaren: Val will make sure to let them know about her new internal addition
  450. Trulhammaren: ((can't find my mouse so no clicking.....))
  451. Chronicler: The Kolberg's will also allow you to rest at their inn again as its late and the person you'd want to speak to on the situation wouldn't be awake by that time. They urge you to give any information you have to the Kolden's in the morning.
  452. Avara: alright
  453. Chronicler: We can call it here yeah. T_T Shame Rob has been so swamped by his schoolstuffs that he hasn't been able to attend much of anything (and the last time he did he was really out of it).
  454. Avara: *hugs kaorin*
  455. DNA: Very well, I agree to this plan.
  456. Chronicler: However, you dealt with a few encounters. So lesse...
  457. DNA: I worry about Rob, I really do.
  458. Avara: rob'll be okay soon. hopefully.
  459. Chronicler: 2 TXP. 65 PKMN XP.
  460. DNA: 65 has to go all to any 1?
  461. Chronicler: Yes.
  462. DNA: All right.
  463. Eclipse is disconnected.
  464. * Avara hugs everyone
  465. Chronicler: Saving campaign and log.
  466. Avara is disconnected.
  467. Trulhammaren is disconnected.
  468. Kaorin Sakura is disconnected.
  469. You have disconnected.
