  1. “I watched the most fascinating video the other day,” Toko began, stepping closer. “Something about… traditional Inkling courtship dances.”
  2.
  3. Three swallowed visibly, gulping down the most massive dry lump in her throat as the Octoling brazenly entered her personal bubble. “O-oh…” she uttered lamely, frozen in place by the sheer presence of the woman before her.
  4.
  5. “I’d like to try it, if you don’t mind.”
  6.
  7. Not that she really seemed to be asking, at any rate - her hand was already in the Octoling’s grasp, Toko’s dark, crimson-tipped fingers intertwining with her own. Three could feel the steady burn of a blush suffusing her cheeks, but try as she might, she couldn’t muster the will to break eye contact. This was a bad idea. A very, very bad idea.
  8.
  9. A hand settled firmly along her lower back, and Three couldn’t suppress the undignified squeak of alarm that escaped her lips when Toko drew her in. She shivered as the Octoling’s long, prehensile tentacles unconsciously reached out to caress her face, earning her a small, almost sultry giggle. Three suddenly had no idea what to do with her other hand.
  10.
  11. “I believe it went a bit like this,” Toko purred, pulling the Inkling closer until their bodies were almost flush. Three wasn’t sure she could blush any harder at this point – her ears were practically on fire – but she soon proved herself wrong as the cool, slender end of a sinuous tentacle tilted her chin up.
  12.
  13. Green eyes, previously locked on her own, drifted down, pausing momentarily before returning with almost double the previous intensity. There was something almost predatory in that smoldering gaze - something that should have normally triggered some kind of fight or flight response in her - that held her completely and utterly transfixed.
  14.
  15. ‘Oh, cod, she’s going to eat me alive…!’
