  2. Frantic, Overworked Mangaka Quest
  3.
  4.
  5. The night sky begins to pale over Tokyo Bay, the handful of stars still visible against the city lights fading away. Sleepless, you huddle over your desk, groaning desperately to yourself as you recheck the upcoming deadline for the hundredth time in the last twenty-four hours and then look back at the empty page before you.

  7. This isn't good. This isn't good at all.

  9. You had this all figured out. You'd set things up so that this entire arc would build up to a climactic duel between your Battle Manga hero and a major villain at the Roman Coliseum. You structured the middle part of the story around this. You had a training montage leading up to it. You have it all perfectly drawn out in your head, with undead Roman soldiers saluting the pair as they stride into that ancient arena, the expectations and tension you've been cultivating in your readers for so many issues now finally being released in this cathartic explosion of a chapter.

  15. You return to your work desk, still panicked, but with a renewed energy and confidence that you can save this. You pick up your pencil and...

  19. [] Have Wamuu suggest they go all the way back to Rome for this battle for no given reason, and just have the other characters roll with it.
  20. [] Have Lisa and JoJo fight the pillarmen in a natural, snowy canyon. Your readers will be disappointed that the coliseum fight never happened, but they'll keep reading.
  21. [] Put ANOTHER FUCKING COLISEUM in the middle of the Swiss Alps, and have the characters act as if its always been there.
