- "You're going to have to carry her, teddy bear style," Finnick remarked, glaring up at Nick. The bigger fox kept on his sheepish shrug, which only made the fennec even angrier. "Look, unless you're going to try to grab her by the ears and toss her like a damn football all the way down Main Street, you're going to have to carry her."
- As if on cue, Judy let a thick glob of foam slide out of her mouth. She wiggled about her paws as she kept rubbing her face against the edge of the bus stop. Nick stared blankly at her drooping ears, smelling various unhappy scents coming from various stains on her outfit.
- "Fine," Nick muttered. He watched as Finnick didn't even so much as nod back, the smaller fox grabbing his thick coat. Nick brushed off bits of his once fancy looking get-up, his paws picking up the dust, dirt, and even worse, before letting out a sigh.
- "I can," Judy suddenly burst out, hopping a few feet away from the bus stop, "walk if I just pay enough attention." She tried to force her eyes back open as her arms waved comically in the air.
- Nick jumped forwards and grabbed the bunny by her ears. She dangled about like a puppet as she glanced downward; the bunny had almost bounced right into a huge ditch in the concrete. The fox stepped over to the side and let Judy slip slowly out of his grip.
- "Thanks, foxy-loxy," she muttered, shivering about for a moment before she fell backwards flat onto a shrubbery, "we should totally keep in touch after graduation..."
- The drunken rabbit was his responsibility, Nick thought, yet he had little idea of what to do even after they got back to her downtown Zootopia apartment. It added insult to injury. Their romantic-type evening had ended in drunken antics that didn't just get them kicked out of the nice restaurant; Judy seemed so totally trashed even a while later. Nick carefully poised his arms against Judy's sides, trying not to accidentally push her even further into the pile of greenery.
- "Whatcha, hic, doing back there, stud," Judy murmured. Before she could say another word, Nick carefully pulled her backward. The motion still caused even more disgusting foam to ooze out of her mouth. The fox tried to position her so that it dripped down onto the shrubbery and away from both of them. "Don't... any ideas... get them..."
- Nick brought Judy's entire body up against his chest. He braced himself for some kind of smarmy remark or yet another round of vomiting. Instead, the rabbit blissfully fell back into a semi-sleep. As the fox made his way down the street, thankfully moving further and further away from the fancy eatery and the bad memories from earlier that night, he glanced at his reflection in the nearby shop windows.
- "Goddamn, she does look like some big plush toy," Nick whispered to himself.
