  1. Even in the dead of night, Paulownia Mall was bustling with life. A herd of teenage boys were laughing and cheering as loud arcade games exploded in sound and color. A flock of high school girls spread gossip and giggle to themselves while sipping exotic coffee and teas outside Chagall Cafe. Music blasted out of both the karaoke bar and the dance club and a myriad of shoppers poured in and out of every kind of shop imaginable.
  2. But Makoto Yuuki casually strode past them all, hands firmly in pocket, weaving in and out of crowds, ignoring the hustle and bustle and simply bobbing his head to the MP3 player dangling from his neck. His destination wasn’t any shop or club or even a seat by the gushing fountain in the center, but an abandon alley off to the side. There is nothing for anyone to see or do.
  3. That is, unless you can see what only he could see.
  4. Makoto reached out to seemingly thin air and put his hand on a handle that shouldn’t exist. A blue door, trimmed in gold, briefly appeared, opened, and accepted him inside before vanishing as if it had never existed.
  5. “Welcome to the Velvet Room,” came a warm but strange voice.
  6. The sight was unusual. The entire room was a massive elevator, constantly in motion but never reaching its destination. It simply ascended forever. Then again, time and space seemed to mean very little to this room or its occupants.
  7. “Hm?”Makoto raised his eyebrows slightly, which was more emotion than he typically displayed in his daily life.
  8. While the room was unusual, amazingly so, it was nothing new to him. He had been here dozens of times before and its typical oddities did not warrant any sort of reaction. However, the lack of one particular oddity was quite noteworthy. The luxurious blue arm chair that sat in the middle of the room, where the long nosed, bug eyed Igor was normally seated, was unexpectedly empty.
  9. “Ah, you are wondering about the disappearance of my Master,” said the warm voice.
  10. It belonged to Elizabeth, perhaps the strangest of all the strange things Makoto had met in the last year. Fittingly, she was dressed in a blue elevator’s attendant outfit, though its sleeveless form was quite unusual and her naturally white hair, cut into a short bobcut, contrasted with her youthful appearance, making her stand out from a crowd. The most distracting of her though was her piercing, yellow eyes. She constantly looked at him like a child looks at a strange new frog that just hopped into their backyard. There was no malice in those eyes, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t dangerous.
  11. “It’s nothing to worry about. Even Master sometimes needs to step away from his post. There is nothing to concern yourself with.”
  12. Makoto had wondered if Igor was even capable of moving. In all the time he had known the mysterious man, he had never so much as stood up. Then again, while he did not dislike the old man, he didn’t much care about the day to day routine of the Velvet Room’s occupants except in how it affected his life.
  13. “While the Master is out, I shall take his place,” said Elizabeth energetically. “So, tell me, honored guest, what brings you to the Velvet Room today? Have you come to fuse a new Persona? Do you wish to browse the Compendium? Or have you come seeking an errand to do on my behalf? I assure you, I am almost certainly as skilled, in theory. In all likelihood.”
  14. A cold chill ran up Makoto’s spine, though it didn’t show on his face. This seemed like a bad idea. But then, he still came here for a reason.
  15. “Fusion,” he said.
  16. “Excellent choice!” said Elizabeth. “Now, let us get started.”
  17. Elizabeth took her place in the large, comfy chair and leaned over the blue table, practically giddy with excitement. Makoto took his place across from her.
  18. “Now, what would you like to fuse?” she asked.
  19. Makoto didn’t have to say anything. In his mind, he envisioned the possibilities and made his choice.
  20. “Ah Abaddon, the Angel of the Abyss and the Locust Who Devours All. Excellent choice. Now, make your offerings.”
  21. Makoto held out his hands and a pair of cards seemingly materialized from his soul. He placed both Alice and Titania on the table and an arcane circle appeared beneath them.
  22. Elizabeth closed her eyes and waved a hand over the table, preparing to begin the process. The cards flipped over and began to rise into the air. But just as quickly as it started, it ended. The cards fell back down onto the table.
  23. “I’m sorry, but I feel this is insufficient,” said Elizabeth, opening her eyes.
  24. “Huh?”
  25. “This is the first fusion I am performing.” She paused for a moment, before realizing what she said. “That is, this is the first fusion I am performing for our honored guest,” she recovered. “I feel as if this should be a much more spectacular and more ostentatious occasion, don’t you agree?”
  26. “I don’t think--” Makoto began to object, but he was no match for Elizabeth’s unbridled enthusiasm.
  27. “A normal fusion simply isn’t enough. We should be doing a pentagon spread at the very least.”
  28. She pulled out her compendium, quickly adding three more cards to the table. She gave a self-satisfied smile as she gazed upon her work.
  29. “This really isn’t--”
  30. “Very well, prepare yourself, as I will create an especially powerful Persona with this.”
  31. Elizabeth threw her arm out theatrically as the arcane circle reappeared, sending the Persona cards high into the air. The five cards emitted a faint glow as all five of them slid into the center of the circle and exploded into a ball of pure, blinding light.
  32. That was the moment Elizabeth realized something had gone wrong. There was no Abaddon. There was no Persona at all. All there was was a single card gently floating down to the floor. The two of them watched anxiously as it drifted back and forth before landing on the floor. Elizabeth picked it up and held the card up for inspection. It seemed to be a blank card, with nothing on either side.
  33. “This is most peculiar. I could sense the fusion happen, but where did it go?” she asked.
  34. A sudden jolt of energy ran through her body.
  35. “Oh… Oh my...” she gasped. “I did not know it was possible, but I believe I may… absorbed it in some way. This is certainly a new… oh. Oh!”
  36. She cried out in shock and jumped to her feet as she could feel something growing within. It started in her stomach and seemed to be pulsing outward. Slowly, the fabric of her blue dress moved and folded itself as the flesh beneath it began to expand. In a few moments, there was an obvious and very round bulge pressing up against her dress.
  37. While all eyes were fixed upon the sudden appearance of a prominent beer belly, the rest of Elizabeth was beginning to join in. The long legs which were clad in little more than a pair of boots and dark pantyhose began to widen until they forced the girl to adopt a wider stance. Her thighs quickly changed from slender to thick to thunder, pressing into the restrictive hem of her dress. As they grew and grew, the indentation the skirt left on her legs grew more and more visible and her pantyhose grew lighter in color as the material was stretched further and further over widening legs.
  38. “This is… certainly unexpected,” said Elizabeth, wide eyed as she watched her growing lower half.
  39. But as she stared, she noticed her chest joining in the action. Her modest bust had apparently decided that it had enough modesty and wanted to stand out to the world. As her stomach bulged outward, it left prime real estate for her bust to rest upon and it wanted to take advantage of it.
  40. “Are… Are you alright?” asked Makoto, his eyes widening in concern.
  41. “I… can’t say that I dislike this,” said Elizabeth, watching in captivation. “But it’s beginning to feel… rather… restricting.”
  42. And she continued to grow. Her stomach pushed ever outward, pulling the hem of her dress higher as it did. The further it pushed out, the more gravity pulled on it. Her buttery midsection began to sag lower and lower, eventually slapping against her meaty thighs. The encroaching fat spread outward, expanding her hips and leaving a long roll of chub that went all the way around her midsection and met a rear end that was blowing up in every direction. Her arms grew wider, leaving a tight roll crammed between where her shoulders met her dress.
  43. And it was all too much for her clothes to take. The sound of tearing fabric bounced around the room as a slit opened running up and down the front of her dress. The deep pocket which had once been her belly button was peeking out and was being squished between two encroaching rolls of pure fat. The slit continued to grow, running down to the hem and running up to her cleavage. Her ballooning breasts, finally free from their constricting prison, flopped to either side, her bright pink areolae peeking out from the flaps of cloth that were all that remained of her dress.
  44. One last bit of growth pushed at her hips and the last bit of cloth holding the bottom of her one-piece dress together was finished. The bottom flew open wide, torn clean in two, and came to rest at her side. Her entire frame jiggled and wobbled as nothing was holding it back any longer. Her massive gut bounced up and down, slapping loudly against her blubbery upper thighs. Tears in her pantyhose popped out all over, revealing pasty white flesh underneath them now riddled with dimples. Her breasts jostled with her stomach, bouncing in and out of the cover of the remains of her dress.
  45. And for a while, everyone was silent, simply watching the seemingly never ending movement on a girl standing still.
  46. Makoto wasn’t sure what to say, so he chose to say nothing. He simply stared in disbelief and quite a bit of confusion. His eyes traced the curves of her body, which took quite some time. He was surprisingly captivated. Over the last year, he had seen no shortage of female flesh. He was rather popular, to put it one way. But this was something new stirring in him.
  47. “Oh, this is certainly a new experience,” said Elizabeth, examining herself all over. And as she did, a smile crept onto her lips. “It seems I am even more skilled than my previous assessment gave credit for. I have invented an entirely new form of fusion. I shall call it, Absorption Fusion! Yes, it allows one to absorb the essence of a Persona and to take on its powers permanently for oneself.”
  48. She stopped for a moment, awaiting applause which never came. It did nothing to dishearten her though. She grabbed her stomach, lifting from the bottom and held it aloft with ease, somehow. She shook it wildly.
  49. “This is quite astounding. I dare say, I believe that this is what humans refer to as BBW. I believe it stands for Bountiful Battle Weapon. Yes, I can certainly understand. I feel extremely powerful, both physically and spiritually.”
  50. Makoto had stopped listening, becoming more focused on what lay under that sizable stomach. When she held it up, he began to suspect that much like she did not seem to wear much under her dress up top, other than her pantyhose there may not have been much underneath it. He traced her legs all the way up. He stared intently at where they met, thinking he could see that--
  51. “And I would like you to help me,” said Elizabeth.
  52. “Huh?” Makoto shook his head, snapping back to reality.
  53. “I would like to perfect this new art,” she said. “And I have a few new requests for you to help with.”
  54.
  55. Several weeks passed. Elizabeth had vowed to spend her time, for whatever time meant in that room, practicing her new type of fusion. And his role was to deliver her the materials she needed to do so.
  56. As he made his way back to the Velvet Room, his arms were overloaded with that material, which made it difficult to pass through the crowds of Paulownia Mall without notice.
  57. “Who’s that guy?” said a girl outside Chagall.
  58. “Dunno, but I see him here every night. He keeps going in and out of that alley several times a night,” said her friend.
  59. “What, is there some new club back there?”
  60. “Must be something. Why else would he be carrying that much food each time?”
  61.
  62. “Welcome to the Velvet Room,” said Elizabeth. “Ah, I see you’ve completed another request Honored Guest. I’ll take those now. That’s 1x Bucket of Fried chicken. And 1x Extra Large Wild Duck Value Meal. And 1x Mega Beef Bowl Super Family Meal. And finally, 2x Large Takoyaki Platter. Very well done. That is twenty quests completed today.”
  63. Elizabeth took the bucket of chicken and promptly devoured it at inhuman speeds. Elizabeth doing inhuman things was not particularly surprising as she was not actually human. However, speed was not something you’d think she would be capable of. She had changed quite a bit since the night of the fusion accident.
  64. As the last of the chicken disappeared, and before she started on the burger meal, she patted and rubbed her immense gut, which she could no longer reach around. No one could. Her simply impossibly huge stomach distended off her frame and rested on the soft carpet on the floor. With every step she took, and Makoto was not sure how she was still capable of standing up let alone walking, her all-encompassing belly dragged across the floor. Roll upon roll of belly fat bobbled with her every movement.
  65. Behind them, titanic legs sprawled everywhere. Her dimpled covered legs were somehow contained in an immense pair of pantyhose, that he could not even begin to imagine how she put them on. But even with those on, her legs were nearly formless, bulging out in every direction. Even her ankles were being engulfed with leg meet which brushed against the floor. This did mean she had to abandon her boots in favor of a pair of blue loafers as no boot could run up those calves which were more like grown cows.
  66. And even when staring at her from the front, and Makoto did a lot of staring, her ass poured out over both sides. He could lay on top of that rear end and use it as a makeshift bed if he so desired. He was now also absolutely sure she was not wearing anything under those pantyhose.
  67. That’s not to say she was naked. A thin, blue skirt somehow wrapped around her waist though it left basically nothing to the imagination and somehow only made her seem more indecent. And up top a modified form of her dress was wrapped around (most of) a pair of breasts that were so big they laughed in the face of bras everywhere. They pushed up against her double chin, which made seeing all of her face somewhat difficult, but it did not seem to hide the permanent smile that creased her lips.
  68. She was no longer fat. She wasn’t even obese. She had gone beyond any sort of descriptor.
  69. And Makoto watched her still continue to stuff her face with all that he had brought her. It gave him a rush of excitement he was not used to. Part of him thought it was wrong and that this was crazy. Another part of him said that that was what made it exciting. He wanted to see how far this could go. He could feel his blood pumping. That blood was giving him his own minor Tartarus. He wanted to rush up and take all of her in.
  70. And as the last of the food disappeared down her gullet, Elizabeth stifled a belch and patter her lips with a napkin.
  71. “Excuse me. And now, I must thank you,” she said. “But in a way, I believe thanks are not nearly enough. For completing so many of my selfish requests, I feel a much greater reward is needed. Unfortunately, there is little I can give. As such, the only thing I can do is offer you one last quest.”
  72. “Hmm?” Makoto hummed with interest.
  73. “I would like… to see your room. Yes, I would like you to take me to where you live. Is that quite all right?”
  74. Makoto’s eyes widened. He had been in this situation quite frequently. He knew exactly what this implied. And he was ready. He was more than ready. He wanted it. He wanted it badly.
  75. “Yeah, that’s fine,” he said dispassionately. Even if he was excited internally, he was still Makoto.
  76. “Excellent. Then let us be on our way.”
  77. Elizabeth waddled towards the door, taking slow, lumbering steps. How she could do this at all was something of a mystery, but he wasn’t going to complain if he could watch her move the whole way.
  78. And as they approached the exit, the problem dawned on both of them.
  79. Elizabeth cleared her throat. “Ahem. Actually, I may have been a bit hasty. I have… one more request for you. Please seek out my brother Theodore. Please tell him to get his carpentry tools. We may require some… adjustments to the Velvet Room before I can leave.”
