  1. [22:31] Tsu steps forward, the anger in her voice apparent as looks up at the towering woodswoman and says, "Sit. Back. Down."
  2.
  3. "You're not leaving my clinic with that wound untreated. Even if I wanted you to, the Fourfold Path dictates otherwise. The Emperor demands humane treatement of our prisoners. What, then, do you think he expects for our friends?" she asks.
  4.
  5. Small hands reach out and begin to again unroll Sonia's bandage, "Emily, wash your hands and get your tools ready."
  6.
  7. The air around the kitsune is still very warm as she broods, her tail constantly whipping back and forth behind her in frustration.
  8. (Tsu Iclyn)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [22:36] Silently - she drops back onto the bed, letting the fox take her arm. Entirely unsure whether this was a good sign or not. But there was no motion to stop the unwrapping of her wound, eyes shutting as she expected the absolute worst to follow in the immediacy.
  12.
  13. Perhaps she should have apologized - but she couldn't think of any way to say sorry that didn't sound stupid or hollow. She had explained herself. And, of course, connections forged with people weren't fake.
  14.
  15. So - for the time being - she did the one thing that seemed to make sense. Using the bandages, as they came off, she wiped her face clean of makeup. Allowing the kitsune to see her rieka-lined visage for the first time. Dark rings under her eyes from lack of sleep.
  16.
  17. "Only the name was fake. Actions, and words, were not."
  18. (Sonia de Morais)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. [22:40] Emily nodded her head and for once, bowed deeply to Tsu. "Thank you Captain Tsu." She knew that it wasn't easy for Tsu to come to the conclusion to allow an Oscuri who had yet to renounce to be treated.. Emily hadn't taken the time to look at Sonia's wound, not with the argument and worrying about Tsu. She made her way past Tsu, giving her the slightest of pats on the back before she washed her hands in the nearby basin. She looked over at her medical kit and allowed it to rise with gravity magic since her hands were clean, it unrolled on the table beside Sonia. "Enough, lets get this fixed up okay? We have many more days we can talk about this, so lets just let tonight be tonight. I'm sure Tsu will need some time to process things. I do trust her though and believe everything will be fine."
  22.
  23. She made her way over to Sonia's side and said "Now, what are we working with?"
  24. (Emily Bell)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [22:45] "There was a sealed door." She held her right arm up again, showing off the deep, jagged gouges where thorns had torn into her flesh and ripped skin apart in their quest to elicit as much blood from her person as they could. "It demanded a blood sacrifice so that we might get through. I, and others, offered my arm up to appease it."
  28.
  29. Turning, she held her arm out for both of them to inspect. There wasn't, really, much to say about it beyond the most obvious, physical aspect. Something had tried to carve her up as much as it could, without any care to artistry or delicacy.
  30.
  31. "It seems to be healing slowly - but the damage might be deeper than I suspect. I am, after all, not much of a medic."
  32. (Sonia de Morais)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [22:52] She glanced over the wound and said, "I think this is well within you abilities, Emily. I'll be standing nearby if you have questions about how to fix your Oscuri."
  36.
  37. Tsu took a step back and crossed her arms, staring up into Sonia's eyes with her one good one. Her tail slowly came to a rest behind her, but it was curled up behind her back. The narrowing of her eyes. Twitches on her stitch covered cheeks. They both gave away the amount of anger seething within her. The frustration she felt.
  38.
  39. "Tell me, Sonia... whatever your name is. Tell me, what word of Azrael did Dawn abandon?"
  40. (Tsu Iclyn)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [23:03] "I am not a possession." They had noticed the language. 'One of my oscuri' - and though efforts were focused on the matter at hand; the emphasis Tsu put on 'your' was almost bitter.
  44.
  45. "Sonia, however, works as a name. It is the name you know me by." Eyes watched the woman's tail - easily reading the irritable body language. An obvious mood given everything. "But - it is as I said. Azrael gave everything to better the lives of his people. Though - some may find that debatable, I will save the theological discussions for another time. In Dawn - they, instead, choose to summon Nethradin and let them loose to feed on the populace while saying it, and the wanton slaughter of war, is what Azrael truly wanted." There was an exhalation of disapproval.
  46.
  47. "Azrael would not want his people falling into madness and slaughter, not for its own sake. People abuse his power, not to stave off mortality - but to make armies of the unwilling and enslaved. And then they disregard him and all he has given, to chase the power of madness and lies."
  48. (Sonia de Morais)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [23:08] Emily knew she had this, it was a simple patch job, stitching and cleaning the wounds would take care of most of it. "I will require your aid in this Tsu. Sonia is an occultist so I can not use my holy magic in order to speed the process. I've seen you fight and know some of the healing properties that nature magic provides. I will clean the wound, and do the stitching, but for repairing the damaged tissue.. that's you dear."
  52.
  53. She then began to study Sonia's injury. It looked like something had tried to eat her arm. There was clearly muscle damage, surface damage, and possibly dashes on the bones within Sonia's arm. There was a small sigh as Tsu's words replayed in her mind.. to her, it seemed like Tsu blamed her for this..
  54.
  55. There was a quick shake of her head as she dismissed the worry for now. As she grabbed a nearby bottle and needle she began to draw out some anesthetic. "First, I'm numbing your arm, I don't care how tough you think you are, this is my hospital, and I'm the doctor." Emily then poked the needle directly into Sonia's shoulder and injected it. After a few seconds, Sonia would feel her arm begin to fall asleep, at first, a tingling, and then a heavy numbness would wash over the arm, ridding the Oscuri of any pain in that arm.
  56.
  57. Emily then utilized a small stream of her water magic to carefully go through the gashes and holes within Sonia's arm, clearing out any debris that may have gotten in there. It was no EASY feat, getting in each of them, it required a great deal of concentration, one that people kept trying to break with their bickering. However, Emily knew that Sonia needed this.. this might be the last time the two are able to see each other..
  58.
  59. After numerous painstaking moments she looked over to Tsu. "Please do what you can to speed the healing process while I prep the needle with the mithril thread Captain Tsu." She made her way over to her medical bag, and withdrew a large needle, it was thin yet long, perfect for getting through skin, she fed the mithril thread through it and tied it off while she waited for Tsu to finish.
  60. (Emily Bell)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [23:09]
  64. {LOAD GAME}
  65.
  66. [23:18] She glances at Emily and nods. Tsu turns moves to the wall and rises to her tiptoes to pull a jar of the shelf. Opening it, she pours some of the rosehip seeds into her palm and then places the jar back on the shelf.
  67.
  68. Tsu moves to Sonia's side and reaches out to take her hand. She turns it over and places the seeds in her palm, then closes her fist over them. Tsu holds it closed with both hands and channels her mana. She pulls her hands away, and the sees sprout. Vines grow out from between Sonia's fingers and snake up her arm. The squeeze at her skin, but there is no pain. A gentle green glow passes from them into Sonia, and she can feel her flesh knitting back together beneath them.
  69. (Tsu Iclyn)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72. [23:27] Her jaw clenches when the needle pierces her shoulder. That, somehow, seemed to be more uncomfortable to her than the actual pain. However there was no grandstanding about not needing it. They would, of course, defer to the medical experts in this situation. Closing their eyes again and simply trying to ignore the slowly dulling feeling of hands on her injured arm, of water forcibly cleansing the wounds.
  73.
  74. "Azrael does not remove necromancy - why I can not say." They spoke through gritted teeth, a brief pause of respite coming when the black-lined oscuri finished and turned the task back over to Tsu. "It was a gift to humanity - and while one can learn it from the lord himself. A master necromancer is just as capable of teaching it, detached from any of Azrael's will."
  75.
  76. When Tsu takes her hand - there is a brief, and utterly fleeting, squeeze. Fingers limp with disappointment as the fox pulls away, instead leaving seeds in her grip. Slightly confused she opened her eyes to watch the bizarre display of medical care, as plant matter began to snake its way up her numbed arm.
  77.
  78. "Faith is a complicated subject, Tsu. Would you ever renounce Jiuweihu?"
  79. (Sonia de Morais)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [23:28] After Tsu had finished, Emily stepped back over, giving the seeds time to do their magic.
  83.
  84. Small bits of skin were taken, and the needle passed through with no hesistation, passing through the other side of each crevasse and pulled tightly together. More and more passes were made, drawing the skin together to seal it shut. She worked her way down the arm, taking her time yet moving quick enough that she would finish before the anesthetic wore off. After about ten minutes she was nearly done. Now it was time to talk with Sonia. "In a weeks time, your body should push the mithril threading out, the wound's won't be perfectly sealed, but once the threading comes out, I want you to apply this." She reached over and grabbed a vial of blue cream. "This cream will keep MOST of the scarring away from your skin, it isn't perfect, nothing is, but it willremove about ninety five percent." She then finished up her patch work and nodded her head, placing the vial of cream in Sonia's hand.
  85. (Emily Bell)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [23:31] She shakes her head, "I could no sooner renounce Jiuweihu than rain could renounce its cloud. Her light influences all things, Sonia. Azrael was one of many, that turned against his breathren and slew those that stood against him."
  89.
  90. Looking at Emily she says, "Good work."
  91.
  92. Tsu then turns and descends the stairs.
  93. (Tsu Iclyn)
