  1. In early times, the world was developing its own identity by culture, trade, religion, and other factors. These factors depended upon geography. Geography influenced the roles of religion and politics.
  2. The people in early times were at mercy of the land around them. There wasn’t all too much they could do to protect themselves so the people resorted to geographically based religion. (Document 3). The Egyptian sun-god, Aten, is an example. They prayed to and made sacrifices to these gods so they might be spared from the geographical conditions around them.
