meager to mayor challenge

The Meager to Mayor challenge is a challenge in which you start out with 1,000 simoleans and end up building an entire town in the least amount of generations as possible.

You come to the new world from a poor, impoverished place. You find 3 abandoned neighborhoods. You settle and begin to work in the land, and realize that here, your dreams can come true. You can begin to found a new town.

First, create your founder sim. You may design your sim with any clothing and give them a name of your choice. The sim must be a young adult. However, you must randomize the sim's aspirations and traits. You must do this for every generation. Make sure you are playing on normal lifespan.

Move your sim into one of the two smallest lots in Newcrest. Both of them are the upper left hand corner and are 20 x 15.

Then, add only the neccesities to your lot. This means a toilet, shower, fridge, and bench (for sleeping). You are completely impoverished and could only afford the bare minimum. All of these necessities must be the lowest quality.

Now, exit build mode. Press ctrl+shift+c and type testingcheats true. Then, type money 1,000. You are now ready to play.

First, it is highly reccomended that you get a job. Jobs are the best source of income for your new sim and the best way to get money. Before you begin your town, you must first create a stable income for yourself.

You may marry anyone of your chosing, and take half of their funds into the household. You can accomplish this with cheats, as shown above. They may keep their job until the mayor stages begin. They must move in with you, and only them.

In order to begin your town, you must have at least 15,000 simoleans, a house worth 20,000 simoleans, and you should have at least 1 skill at level 7 or above. You may also want to have a child in order to have a heir to the town.

In order to begin your town, you must quit your job. Your partner must also quit his/her job, if they have one. You must find 1 sim (they can be one of your friends) to move in. If they have a family, they must move in as well. They must move into your current residence while waiting for their house to be built.

You may build their house any way you'd like. When you are complete, check the lot worth. Remove that amount of money from your funds, then move the family in.

Repeat this process for each sim you decide to move in. Sunday is the day you collect bills. (As well as likely paying your own).

In order to calculate how much money you get per household, use this equation:
no. of appliances + number of pluming + no. of lights x 10 = bills in household.

Use this formula for each household and once you are done calculating, add the designated amount to your funds.

Once your current heir dies, the next oldest Sim in the next generation must take the the role as Mayor.

The challenge continues until every house is filled and the current heir dies.
