  1. Introductions
  2. This is my first creepypasta, so I hope you all enjoy it! If you have any constructive criticism, feel free to tell me!
  3.
  4. Now for the actual creepypasta.
  5.
  6. The Story
  7. A few weeks ago, my mom and I got a piano. It was one of those electric pianos, you know, the ones where it's not an actual piano; it has options for you to change the instrument the actual "piano" plays, the options being piano (of course), electric piano, strings, vibraphone (which sounds like a music box), organ, and harpsichord.
  8.
  9. We came home, set up the piano, and I got signed up for music lessons, and after about a week, I began practicing "Hedwig's Theme" from Harry Potter.
  10.
  11. As my sleep schedule is non-existent, I went to bed at 1:30AM, as did my mom.
  12.
  13. My mom set the alarm for 9:30 AM, but I ended up waking up at 5:19 AM to the sound of the piano playing.
  14.
  15. I wondered who was playing the piano at this ungodly hour, grabbing the flashlight hanging from my door, for when I went to grab a cup of water in the middle of the night, and walked out.
  16.
  17. Nobody was at the piano, but it was playing, with the vibraphone setting on. I looked at the sheet music, and instead of "Hedwig's Theme" like I had there previously, the music sheet read "When Memories Break".
  18.
  19. I was confused, as I never had heard of this particular piece of music before. I looked around for Hedwig's Theme, but to no avail.
  20.
  21. I also checked if the piano was on, and it wasn't.
  22.
  23. After a little bit, the music stopped. I fixed a glass of water with ice, and at around 6:25 AM, and went back to bed.
  24.
  25. The next day... After my mom left for work at noon, I went to do my daily session of piano, and I looked at the music, and Hedwig's Theme was back, with no trace of the piece from last night. I was so confused, as things don't just appear and disappear out of nowhere.
  26.
  27. After my session of piano, I went to play some Super Mario Maker 2 on my switch. After I played for a bit, I heard the piano play itself again, and went out to see what was happening.
  28.
  29. It was the same thing as last night, "When Memories Break". I felt creeped out, as the piano played itself. I unplugged the piano, but it just continued playing.
  30.
  31. I just walked away, continuing to play Mario Maker. As I continued making a level, I forgot the concept I was gonna make for the level.
  32.
  33. This felt normal to me, as I was always a forgetful person, as was my mom. I just proceeded with my day as normal, as the music stopped.
  34.
  35. That night... after my mom and I ate a midnight snack, I started heading to my bed, and felt like a chunk of my memory was missing. Shattered. Gone. I saw my dog, trying to tell her to stop, as she was a very hyper dog, and jumping on my leg.
  36.
  37. I told her to go away, but then a pause afterwards as I tried to remember her name. Afterwards, I just shoo'd my dog away, and went to sleep.
  38.
  39. At 4:25 AM, I heard the music again, as I woke up, and walked out, and to my surprise, I saw a ghost-like young girl playing the piano.
  40.
  41. I asked who she was, keeping a fair distance from her. She said her name was Melody.
  42.
  43. As the music ended, she faded away, and I felt more of my memory gone, as I couldn't remember where I was, or why I had a piano in my house.
  44.
  45. This loop continued until I had no idea who I was, or why I was there. All I could remember was that song, always playing in the back of my head.
  46.
  47. The end.
  48. I hope you enjoyed it, and once again, constructive criticism is welcome.
