How are you? Happy New Year!



I was hoping you might be interested in helping start a conversation around what a non-True Box server for EQ might look like as far as serving the botter community.



I would like to arrange a Discord chat with a group of game-positive, rules-focused botters, i.e. not RMT sellers/buyers. I want it to be an honest conversation as if we plan to do this, I’d like to talk to some of the people it’s intended to serve. We also want to limit the risk and requirements on our side to require heavy policing around unattended gameplay.



Do you think you’d be interested in helping me gather a small group to help shape the ruleset? I understand that you’re likely super busy, so just let me know. 😊  If you are busy and might be able to guide me to some interested folks, I’d appreciate it!

i dont even care what era it starts in, ill take my time to level up if its a server where we can use mq and its a relaxed environment. its a good move, cause we where on the verge to just setup our own emu synced to live cause dbg only cater to non boxers

I think they see so many people, on TLP, that when they do MQ it's in order to farm krono for cash

well, i think the rmters is a very small group, if u look at ectunnel for example its the same handfull of people, its not like there are hundreds of sellers, but people think everyone that runs mq also rmt, it just isnt the case. its a very very small group of people that does that. now, pl for plat etc, yes that happens but it always have even before mq
we have about 2k downloads of mq each month, im guessing 20 or so are serious rmtres. the rest are just normal people that like to extend their gaming experiance.

well their opinion is skewed because the people breaking the lockout on mq for tlp are the ones that are doing so for RMT about 85% of them

the most reports i ever gotten was in august this year i had 5-6 groups and a couple of solo players funnyli enough..., that was it. they all got banned as well due to "vmware detected" its a cat and mouse game. but even 1 group in seb will stand out... so i can see how people think its huge problem... it really isnt, woebot gets a mail everytime mq detects its on a truebox server. holly knows about that as well of course i developed this while talking to her about it.

funny story, I had lunch with them this summer to talk about some ideas for the future and they didn't know who Woebot is, they said they don't talk to the GM's regularly

whoever is on duty logs in that account so its not surprising they cant pinpoint it to an actual person, but they do know there is a woebot account.
