  1. [2017/03/11 07:31]  Rich Reynaud: Oh, this should be good...
  2. [2017/03/11 07:40]  Donatella Mitchell (donnamitchell): lol
  3. [2017/03/11 07:41]  Debi Dastardly: It totally is a good read, btw, I am not the Dastardly referred to in this story
  4. [2017/03/11 07:41]  Alex Zelin: I like the perspective. It is a good read.
  5. [2017/03/11 07:42]  Rich Reynaud: Hollywood Airport vendor spaces are L$250 per week, and have never been L$2000 per week to my knowledge (going back 5-6 years)
  6. [2017/03/11 07:42]  Charlemagne Allen: Anyone who expects to make money in SL is an idiot.
  7. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): well
  8. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): technically
  9. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): landbaons make money
  10. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Charlemagne Allen: Unless your name rhyhmes with roker renpentine or ranche rung.
  11. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Rich Reynaud: I would clarify that to say make money running an airport.
  12. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): but nobody else
  13. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): No-one makes money running an Airport
  14. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Charlemagne Allen: land barons used to make money before the land price flatlined
  15. [2017/03/11 07:43]  Christi Charron: (sl merchants made 60 million last year on sales)
  16. [2017/03/11 07:44]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Unless it's huge and popular and can cover the running cost via rentals
  17. [2017/03/11 07:44]  Charlemagne Allen: Yes, but you don't start off being profitable. You do it because you want to make something.
  18. [2017/03/11 07:44]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): thanks mal that point really needs to be highlighted amongst pilots we airport owners use our own money to survive
  19. [2017/03/11 07:44]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): (nobody stated how much of that was payed for sims, taes and such)
  20. [2017/03/11 07:44]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): taxes*
  21. [2017/03/11 07:44]  Donatella Mitchell (donnamitchell): i was supposed to make money on my airport??...darn, i am doing it wrong then LOL
  22. [2017/03/11 07:44]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): alot of airports are not that popular these days
  23. [2017/03/11 07:45]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): I'm still here
  24. [2017/03/11 07:45]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): fying from one to another
  25. [2017/03/11 07:45]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): in desperate search of decent FW-190
  26. [2017/03/11 07:45]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): keep lookin
  27. [2017/03/11 07:45]  JC Pax (jclark919): my wife and i own 1 sim and we make profit.. we dont have to upload lindens for anything :p
  28. [2017/03/11 07:45]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): "call of Dora" lol
  29. [2017/03/11 07:45]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I know 4 people "working on one"
  30. [2017/03/11 07:45]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): the iwny one out there is jessicas powered by shanna
  31. [2017/03/11 07:46]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): I have a rant about shana's planes
  32. [2017/03/11 07:46]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): but
  33. [2017/03/11 07:46]  Сафф 'The Pyro' (sufferot): I will just say - not an option
  34. [2017/03/11 07:46]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): :p shannas are for casual flyers :p
  35. [2017/03/11 07:46]  JC Pax (jclark919): we make 72K a month for that sim and it only cost us 50k :p
  36. [2017/03/11 07:47]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): whens the next landing compoetion i want to win some more shit xD
  37. [2017/03/11 07:48]  Debi Dastardly: Airports are a labor of love, or you don't do it. if somone pays me rent, or buys a plane from one of my affiliates than ok, that helps, but every month, i expect to pay my full Teir to LL. If I ever get to the point, where i can not do that anymore. Mine will disappear.
  38. [2017/03/11 07:48]  ღSophie Baxtonღ (aellobellum): come here Hazel XD
  39. [2017/03/11 07:48]  ღSophie Baxtonღ (aellobellum): my rl cat just pooped lol
  40. [2017/03/11 07:48]  ღSophie Baxtonღ (aellobellum): plenty here XDD
  41. [2017/03/11 07:48]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): spot on Debi
  42. [2017/03/11 07:48]  ღSophie Baxtonღ (aellobellum): jkk¨¨
  43. [2017/03/11 07:48]  Debi Dastardly: Thank you Jenny
  44. [2017/03/11 07:49]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Nicly put Debi
  45. [2017/03/11 07:49]  Christi Charron: well put debs
  46. [2017/03/11 07:49]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): and i will go out on a limb here and if anyone wants to know the finances for tfia what it costs me and what rent comes in i will gldaly expose myself to prove this point
  47. [2017/03/11 07:49]  Donatella Mitchell (donnamitchell): very true debi :)
  48. [2017/03/11 07:49]  Charlemagne Allen: If I had money to set on fire, I would recreate Aeronautica
  49. [2017/03/11 07:49]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I would help fund that
  50. [2017/03/11 07:50]  Charlemagne Allen: but I don't even own land anymore.
  51. [2017/03/11 07:50]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Sadly my computer is currently held together with Duck Tape and dreams so I lack the funds
  52. [2017/03/11 07:50]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): if i had money like that i would rebuild the flying tiger sims
  53. [2017/03/11 07:50]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Why?
  54. [2017/03/11 07:50]  Charlemagne Allen: Also, God knows if the audience is even there.
  55. [2017/03/11 07:50]  Charlemagne Allen: I don't want a hollow shell of a place with no community.
  56. [2017/03/11 07:50]  Christi Charron: great article mal
  57. [2017/03/11 07:51]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Thankyou <3
  58. [2017/03/11 07:51]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): the tigers community is still there
  59. [2017/03/11 07:51]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): they do a lot of grid flights
  60. [2017/03/11 07:53]  Eowyn Southmoor: just to add to Mals article, one aspect that is overlooked is that sometimes those discount vendors are responsible for giving sales to builders that they might never otherwise get. I know personally ive bought a few planes from those vendors because I felt the full price was too much for that particular item. Sometimes a 250-400L saving means the difference between buying an aircraft or not bothering at all.
  61. [2017/03/11 07:53]  Charlemagne Allen: I'm just glad vendors exist outside of the original shop
  62. [2017/03/11 07:54]  EmmaS (hyokotsuno): I fully agree with Debi. Would you do any hobby such as scale modeling to make money? Of course not. And still you spend a fortune it it (way more than what SL costs). Not to mention any other hobby.  SL is for me an art. If you consider it as an investment and loose money on it that teaches you right!
  63. [2017/03/11 07:54]  Charlemagne Allen: because if you are finding old stuff, it's impossible.
  64. [2017/03/11 07:54]  Rich Reynaud: I posted this in my reply but it's awaiting moderation... The one argument I’d make about “stealing” a sale is when the farmer sits in a store and lures people away from the creator’s own vendor, back to his or her farm for the sale. In that scenario, he is stealing the price of the commission from the creator. Instead of paying the full cost to the creator, the farmer gets his or her cut.
  65. [2017/03/11 07:54]  Charlemagne Allen: I could have bought a Compact xploder but didn't want to spend the money.
  66. [2017/03/11 07:54]  Charlemagne Allen: /me kicks self
  67. [2017/03/11 08:12]  Lance Winterfeld: Oh Mal has been at it again.
  68. [2017/03/11 08:12]  Lance Winterfeld: That explains the anger in this group this morning
  69. [2017/03/11 08:12]  JC Pax (jclark919): anyone have anything aviation related they wanna talk about
  70. [2017/03/11 08:12]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): I removed the vendor i had from that "notable builder of the region" as i never requested any increase on their standard commission from affiliates, he also fails to mention, normally, we dont want any comissions from sales unless they already have a commission set , we just give them a spot for them to get exposure, but i guess he will leave that for another article or simply will not report that "shady dealings" we do.
  71. [2017/03/11 08:12]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): just for the record
  72. [2017/03/11 08:13]  JC Pax (jclark919): ooo i do.. got to play with the SA ec135 last night.
  73. [2017/03/11 08:13]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): builders also need to accept constructive critisism 5k for a GOOD boat is fair 5K for something that crashes has script or pose errors or basically sails like crap deserves critisism you cant say you donthave a job i will build shit and expect people to pay for it THIS WAS NOT AIMED AT ANY ONE PERSON JUST A GENERALCOMMENT
  74. [2017/03/11 08:13]  Lance Winterfeld: I would not change a single thing.
  75. [2017/03/11 08:14]  Alexander (aleksandr.string): 5000L is 20$. 20$ is a cost of very nice game on steam. now compare money, other resources and time companies spend on games and you spend on prims
  76. [2017/03/11 08:14]  Alex Zelin: yes but if I spend $20 for a game on steam I expect it to not be shit.
  77. [2017/03/11 08:14]  Alexander (aleksandr.string): indeed
  78. [2017/03/11 08:14]  Alex Zelin: I think that's the point. I'll pay 5k for a boat, if it's a good boat.
  79. [2017/03/11 08:14]  JC Pax (jclark919): so how about that sl aviation
  80. [2017/03/11 08:14]  Charlemagne Allen: It's always been a competive market, though.
  81. [2017/03/11 08:14]  Alex Zelin: or a plane or a car or whatever.
  82. [2017/03/11 08:15]  Alex Zelin: LOL JC
  83. [2017/03/11 08:15]  Alex Zelin: I LIKE AIR THINGS! O.O
  84. [2017/03/11 08:15]  SASHA (gliese581): boat was example
  85. [2017/03/11 08:15]  SASHA (gliese581): i heard this stories all over,
  86. [2017/03/11 08:15]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I am very into the air planes
  87. [2017/03/11 08:15]  Alex Zelin: I LIKE FLYING VROOM VROOMS! :D
  88. [2017/03/11 08:15]  Alex Zelin: AND BACON SAMMICHES!
  89. [2017/03/11 08:15]  Red Ink (inkhugsponies): okay, this is getting out of hand here
  90. [2017/03/11 08:16]  Sarah Surreal (sarahsurreal): mmm bacon
  91. [2017/03/11 08:16]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): One day I shall become an airplanes
  92. [2017/03/11 08:16]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): then you'll all be sorry
  93. [2017/03/11 08:16]  SASHA (gliese581): and as far as i know you never try that boat to talk like that only owners can and you are not an owner of that one JEMMY
  94. [2017/03/11 08:17]  SASHA (gliese581): so where do you get that conclusions from?? maybe you can show us the perfect boat you have build jenny
  95. [2017/03/11 08:17]  Lance Winterfeld: So until then you like to stir up drama in the community.
  96. [2017/03/11 08:17]  Alex Zelin: Sasha, it's a bit early for butthurt. Let's give it a rest Dearie.
  97. [2017/03/11 08:17]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): yes, drama is good for the health of the community.
  98. [2017/03/11 08:17]  Charlemagne Allen: i thought you sexually identified as an attack helicopter
  99. [2017/03/11 08:17]  SASHA (gliese581): yes sorry
  100. [2017/03/11 08:17]  SASHA (gliese581): anyway guys, concerning aviation
  101. [2017/03/11 08:17]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Did you just assume my gender!
  102. [2017/03/11 08:17]  Rich Reynaud: Didn't Jenny say she wasn't targeting anyone specific?
  103. [2017/03/11 08:17]  Lance Winterfeld: I feel special. Unity made it in the write up again.
  104. [2017/03/11 08:18]  Charlemagne Allen: yes, apache.
  105. [2017/03/11 08:18]  SASHA (gliese581): Quietly red is going to grow bigger with more free hangars and parking ramps for all of you
  106. [2017/03/11 08:18]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): even making false statements is good for the community i guess
  107. [2017/03/11 08:18]  Alex Zelin: YOU DIDN'T USE THE RIGHT PRONOUN! I AM OFFENDED! >.<
  108. [2017/03/11 08:18]  Red Ink (inkhugsponies): Me? <.<
  109. [2017/03/11 08:18]  Alex Zelin: *throws things*
  110. [2017/03/11 08:18]  SASHA (gliese581): sice all airport is pack
  111. [2017/03/11 08:18]  Alex Zelin: XD
  112. [2017/03/11 08:18]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Well Fey I wouldn't expect you not to counter any argument of negativity aimed at you.
  113. [2017/03/11 08:19]  SASHA (gliese581): Ill sed and latter if any of you need a free hangar or parking ramp
  114. [2017/03/11 08:19]  SASHA (gliese581): that shit boat jenny talks about pay for the whole Quietly red airport
  115. [2017/03/11 08:20]  JC Pax (jclark919): and on this im outta here when you fools stop picking at eachother and wanna talk aviation.......
  116. [2017/03/11 08:20]  Gota Blackheart: What Mal is wrong about is we get discounts from certain member builders by buying large bulk purchases of airplanes at a time and that does not involve a vender. We deal directly with the builder. Like in RL. Buy in bulk and save money.
  117. [2017/03/11 08:20]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Sasha I need to ask do you lack so much confidence in your own product that you must verbally attack anyone that even so much as hints at their distaste of boats in general?
  118. [2017/03/11 08:21]  SASHA (gliese581): no i dont
  119. [2017/03/11 08:21]  SASHA (gliese581): my boats may not be perfect
  120. [2017/03/11 08:21]  SASHA (gliese581): thats for sure
  121. [2017/03/11 08:21]  SASHA (gliese581): but im anoyed to see how ppl treat builders many times not only me
  122. [2017/03/11 08:21]  Charlemagne Allen: Whatever floats your boat.
  123. [2017/03/11 08:22]  SASHA (gliese581): thats all
  124. [2017/03/11 08:22]  SASHA (gliese581): we only try to give new things
  125. [2017/03/11 08:22]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): i can name a few builders who are here commission free , but of course you dont mention that art or the free hangars we give to builders and a land for them to do their testing/ building , but of course you wont mention that.
  126. [2017/03/11 08:22]  Alex Zelin: do you have a rezzable demo at your sim, Sasha? I'd be happy to take a test drive.
  127. [2017/03/11 08:22]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): i didnt call your boat shit Sasha i was using your 5l and a boat as an example
  128. [2017/03/11 08:22]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): /me sighs
  129. [2017/03/11 08:23]  Alex Zelin: TO THE BACON SAMMICH PLANE! QUICK!
  130. [2017/03/11 08:23]  Charlemagne Allen: THE SIM SPIDERS HAVE COME TO EAT EVERYTHING
  131. [2017/03/11 08:23]  Alex Zelin: OH GOD THE HUMANITY! O.O
  132. [2017/03/11 08:23]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): i am not running i am going to kick it to the curb
  133. [2017/03/11 08:23]  Alex Zelin: NUUUUUUUU
  134. [2017/03/11 08:23]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): kimiko thereis no drama
  135. [2017/03/11 08:24]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): its called discussion
  136. [2017/03/11 08:24]  SASHA (gliese581): no problem from my side
  137. [2017/03/11 08:24]  SASHA (gliese581): all fine
  138. [2017/03/11 08:24]  Lance Winterfeld: Mal did another write up and again caused an uproar. why his trolling write ups are allowed in this group is beyond me.
  139. [2017/03/11 08:25]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Because people read them
  140. [2017/03/11 08:26]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): i just lost a good 30 mins of my life ill never get back readfing that thing mal writes on
  141. [2017/03/11 08:27]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): and of course youll never issue a correction for example about the 2000 a week hollywood vendor rental spot
  142. [2017/03/11 08:27]  Ravin Asgard (ravinbyrd): I dont see how offering his opinion could be called trolling. You were not forced to read it....
  143. [2017/03/11 08:27]  Clover (sarria.yaffle): If people would stop behaving foolishly mal wouldn't have anything more to write about
  144. [2017/03/11 08:27]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I issue corrections all the time. Once they are proved to be needed
  145. [2017/03/11 08:28]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I even detail the procedure
  146. [2017/03/11 08:28]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): the problem is when people are not behaving foolishly he will still write made up stuff , just to create drama as he thinks it is healthy
  147. [2017/03/11 08:28]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Alright, give me an example of something I just made up to cause Drama
  148. [2017/03/11 08:28]  Rich Reynaud: And the 2000/week vendor rent at Hollywood? Where did that "alternative fact" come from?
  149. [2017/03/11 08:28]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): simply Mal, read above
  150. [2017/03/11 08:28]  Pazuzu Nakim: LMAO he wrote I was part of some DOR conspiracy in a earlier post.
  151. [2017/03/11 08:28]  Eowyn Southmoor: I agree with Jenny, you only need to spend 10 minutes looking at vehicles on MP to see just how much crap there is, cause many of them just don't care. There are of course those who do put in tremendous effort, the "serious" builders - but even they make mistakes or stuff something up, and there's nothing wrong with consumers noticing flaws and expecting quality for what they pay for. We don't settle for junk in RL (at least we shouldnt), so why do it here?
  152. [2017/03/11 08:29]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Right, so I say something and Rich goes "nu uh" and this is you're entire argument is it?
  153. [2017/03/11 08:30]  Ravin Asgard (ravinbyrd): And in Mal's defense, that particular article was written in response to previous articles..... I did not see anyone calling those previous articles out, maybe that was because they were written by certain people that others dare not call out....
  154. [2017/03/11 08:30]  Pazuzu Nakim: I suppose he is deflecting the attention away from his other problems that we have seen floating  around the grid.
  155. [2017/03/11 08:30]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): im usually quiet here , at this chat but saying i wanted more commissions from some reputable builder , to host a vendor , that is totally false , yet you put my name out there , but fail to mention that so called reputable builder, so yes , time to speak up at your false statements
  156. [2017/03/11 08:31]  Gota Blackheart: Holy fake news batman
  157. [2017/03/11 08:31]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Being that I've tried talking to you before and you're response that I "might" be writing an article on Unity was to block me and ban me from your Airport
  158. [2017/03/11 08:32]  Hazel Brooks (hazel165): trying to dig up things from the past to dredge on what the future will be for a sim or for other individuals is something i frown upon  many post about a certain player and cluster of sims yet they still flourish so writing about it in the first place seems to have been fruitless heh  but thats just me H~
  159. [2017/03/11 08:32]  Gota Blackheart: No you were banned because every time you visited our airport you left so traumatised over something. We were helping you out.
  160. [2017/03/11 08:32]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): cause we are tired of you , making up stories and simply doing false reports and for the record , you are not blocked from me otherwise iw ouldnt read what you have been saying all this time
  161. [2017/03/11 08:33]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): so yet another lie
  162. [2017/03/11 08:34]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): You may indeed give out free vendor space and rentals to various builders but that wasn't the subject of the article. What I said was that I had been informed that you had, along with others, requested higher commission affiliates and using your High Traffic numbers to justify it. It's going to take a bit mroe than screaming "nu uh, fake news" everytime I say something to prove otherwise, But I am open to conversation
  163. [2017/03/11 08:35]  Gota Blackheart: Who told you that we demand higher payouts?
  164. [2017/03/11 08:35]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): Guys i want to remind everyone were all adults here and can read differing opinions and not get Angry.
  165. [2017/03/11 08:35]  Gota Blackheart: or this anger because we only buy from a few select buildes ?
  166. [2017/03/11 08:35]  Gota Blackheart: builders
  167. [2017/03/11 08:36]  Charlemagne Allen: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  168. [2017/03/11 08:36]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): You do seem very angry at this accusation.
  169. [2017/03/11 08:36]  Charlemagne Allen: Oh, i remember when I had faith in humanity.
  170. [2017/03/11 08:36]  Larree Quixote: I don't see many adults, Kimiko.  This is romper room!
  171. [2017/03/11 08:36]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Might I suggest some Tea?
  172. [2017/03/11 08:36]  Gota Blackheart: Not me. i take little or nothing seriously in SL
  173. [2017/03/11 08:36]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): well very simple , if the so called builder who i allegedlly requested higher commission doesnt want to be his name to be ut there how trusted is your source then, yet you chose to put my name out there , sorry it will take more than that to convinvce me of your fake news, but im open to conversation
  174. [2017/03/11 08:37]  Clover (sarria.yaffle): sounds like a trump press conference in here
  175. [2017/03/11 08:37]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I am smart, I am big with words
  176. [2017/03/11 08:37]  Gota Blackheart: haha with Mal's fake news
  177. [2017/03/11 08:37]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): yes apparently he lives on a separate reality as well
  178. [2017/03/11 08:38]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): For people who don't take things very seriously in SL you do seem to be happy to spend a lot of energy and time into refuting this claim.
  179. [2017/03/11 08:38]  Damiel Braham: But if a nobody claims something on silly blog who cares?
  180. [2017/03/11 08:39]  KarHallarn: what is the commission for the vendors in question? What is the average commission for a vendor in SL?
  181. [2017/03/11 08:40]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): if it is false , of course i will as it is my name out there, you might be chuckling as all the attention you get with your fake news , as you stated , oh people read it, and it is healthy for the community to have drama, well like i said , im normally quiet , but you have gone too far
  182. [2017/03/11 08:40]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Well in that case, come at me
  183. [2017/03/11 08:40]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): what should i publish articles called " False News by Mal checked"
  184. [2017/03/11 08:41]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Take your time, research your facts, organize a constructive argument and we'll take it from there.
  185. [2017/03/11 08:41]  KarHallarn: and now we decend into school yard antics. *waits for the TA's to come running to pull the children apart*
  186. [2017/03/11 08:41]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Yes if you want. Anyone is free to create a blog and say whatever they like.
  187. [2017/03/11 08:41]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): in fact I encourage it
  188. [2017/03/11 08:41]  Daphne Yardley-Wayward (daphne.yardley): Mal is the CNN of SL
  189. [2017/03/11 08:41]  Kira Jiagu: We're trying to stifle the free market with all of this outrage against vendor farms. I actually succeeded stifling the free market in 2010 with my vendor process. At least as it applied to me and the very few airports my vendors were in.
  190. [2017/03/11 08:42]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): so you encourage peole to put out fake news cause if you follow the procedure abot fact checking you described above my name wouldnt be there in the first place
  191. [2017/03/11 08:43]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): And now I'm starting to think our airfield not having airfield run vendors may be a better idea.
  192. [2017/03/11 08:43]  Damiel Braham: the blogs are outside all so just keep advertising them and related discussion outside sl then it won't bother rest of us
  193. [2017/03/11 08:43]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Your name was there because McKeenan based his argument on something you had said, which I found highly ironic for the reasons I provided in the article.
  194. [2017/03/11 08:43]  Damiel Braham: sl*
  195. [2017/03/11 08:43]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): i dont do venders either sam its a lot easier
  196. [2017/03/11 08:43]  Mitch Spaartza: how about this, everyone shut the fuck up for 2 seconds and breathe ok?
  197. [2017/03/11 08:43]  Lance Winterfeld: No kidding. me personally I would like all venders yanked. All they do is make lag
  198. [2017/03/11 08:43]  Charlemagne Allen: YOU'RE NOT MY REAL MOM
  199. [2017/03/11 08:44]  Charlemagne Allen: I HATE YOU
  200. [2017/03/11 08:44]  Eowyn Southmoor: lol
  201. [2017/03/11 08:44]  Charlemagne Allen: /me slams door
  202. [2017/03/11 08:44]  Debi Dastardly: lol
  203. [2017/03/11 08:44]  Ravin Asgard (ravinbyrd): Lol, Char!
  204. [2017/03/11 08:44]  Donatella Mitchell (donnamitchell): i have been thinkng of taking my vendors down, no one really uses them lol..it would save on scripts and prims tho :)
  205. [2017/03/11 08:44]  Kira Jiagu: Have vendors. Sell your planes or whatever. Just have the right sales process for you.
  206. [2017/03/11 08:45]  Mitch Spaartza: your going around in circles now making all your selves look like idiots at this point the conversation is lost on both sides now, get up walk away and get a coffee
  207. [2017/03/11 08:46]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): won't happen mitch, this appears toe be in the usual nonsense death spiral. mall will publish whatever opinion he has, and it will piss off anyone it is aimed at right, wrong I will not judge even if I have an opinion on it. all told nothing will change, both air craft maintain seperations, and adjust corse, end of rant.
  208. [2017/03/11 08:46]  Mitch Spaartza: then don't feed the troll, simple
  209. [2017/03/11 08:47]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): im done with this guy, just be aware whatever he says normally is just to create drama as he likes it , and to try to ruin peoples reputation, so whatever he publishes , says just dont belive to be the truth
  210. [2017/03/11 08:47]  KarHallarn: they are in fight mode it seems... Given that my questions about the subject were completely ignored
  211. [2017/03/11 08:47]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): Internet rule 14 Do not feed the trolls, it means they win.
  212. [2017/03/11 08:47]  Mitch Spaartza: all their looking for is a reaction, lol,
  213. [2017/03/11 08:48]  KarHallarn: they want the lulz
  214. [2017/03/11 08:48]  Damiel Braham: What I do not get is why such blogs are advertised or discussed here they are not even in world
  215. [2017/03/11 08:48]  Mitch Spaartza: but anyways I stubbed my toe getting into my cub, anyone sell shin guards?, that was smarts
  216. [2017/03/11 08:48]  Gota Blackheart: yes we have a vender that pays us a 75% comission
  217. [2017/03/11 08:49]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): and so far, vendor percentages range from 5% to 30%  it depends ont he relationship with the two parties, and the contract between the two
  218. [2017/03/11 08:49]  Debi Dastardly: Check Rubber Bunny Mitch, if she dont have it yet, send her an IM she might make it for you.
  219. [2017/03/11 08:49]  Gota Blackheart: want a tp to come buy one?
  220. [2017/03/11 08:49]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): and we are rich because of it
  221. [2017/03/11 08:49]  Kira Jiagu: My position is that there are so many ways out of this fake 'problem' it makes sanction look ridiculous at best.
  222. [2017/03/11 08:49]  SASHA (gliese581): anyone knows if there are teleporters from one sim to another??
  223. [2017/03/11 08:50]  Gota Blackheart: there are huds that post a slurl in chat that TP you to another sim
  224. [2017/03/11 08:50]  KarHallarn: if both parties agreed on the commission %, what is the problem? It is a valid contract unless one or both parties were not of sound mind at the time of signing.
  225. [2017/03/11 08:50]  Alexander (aleksandr.string): you need expirence for such items
  226. [2017/03/11 08:50]  Mitch Spaartza: no, but they do give you an LM to the location
  227. [2017/03/11 08:50]  Damiel Braham: our you can just use your favorites
  228. [2017/03/11 08:50]  SASHA (gliese581): uhmm
  229. [2017/03/11 08:50]  Alexander (aleksandr.string): lm and open map is not teleporter
  230. [2017/03/11 08:50]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): the only thing I know is the ASN stargate net.
  231. [2017/03/11 08:50]  Karl Fredericks: anyone know where i can get a 1/2 scale human AV?
  232. [2017/03/11 08:51]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): i used to have a script that would set a loacation to tp to when clicked but building at the moment so cant look
  233. [2017/03/11 08:51]  KarHallarn: there is also the TGN network and OpenGate.
  234. [2017/03/11 08:51]  Kira Jiagu: Also I don't shop at these seller rebated sales. I just buy from friends mostly or on MP where I can review .
  235. [2017/03/11 08:51]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Sorry i went for a coffee, what I miss?
  236. [2017/03/11 08:51]  Damiel Braham: I suppose experience keys or rlva would allow auto top
  237. [2017/03/11 08:51]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): Karl its called a Todleeedoo
  238. [2017/03/11 08:51]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): you missed the goa around call come collect youe wreckage at the end of the runway
  239. [2017/03/11 08:51]  Damiel Braham: If you mean one that just tps you
  240. [2017/03/11 08:51]  Charlemagne Allen: You can use experience doors
  241. [2017/03/11 08:52]  Alexander (aleksandr.string): http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlMapDestination
  242. [2017/03/11 08:52]  Eric Castanea: don't over think it
  243. [2017/03/11 08:52]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): They finally fished my plane out of the river? Awesome
  244. [2017/03/11 08:52]  Damiel Braham: the experience potters are fast too
  245. [2017/03/11 08:52]  Charlemagne Allen: Your plane is a fish?
  246. [2017/03/11 08:52]  Damiel Braham: porters*
  247. [2017/03/11 08:52]  Eric Castanea: create an object that speaks a slurl in local chat when clicked on
  248. [2017/03/11 08:53]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): yes, and put it in a car crusher, you have 30 minutes to collect your cube
  249. [2017/03/11 08:53]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Yes
  250. [2017/03/11 08:53]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I run SL's only airline for Mermaids and fish
  251. [2017/03/11 08:53]  Charlemagne Allen: Is it a Swordfish?
  252. [2017/03/11 08:53]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): ¬_¬
  253. [2017/03/11 08:53]  KarHallarn: nah... it's a Marlin.
  254. [2017/03/11 08:54]  Damiel Braham: I wonder what the takeoff crash ratio is in sl airlines... sometimes flight feels dangerous here
  255. [2017/03/11 08:54]  Damiel Braham: passengers of sl - defying death :p
  256. [2017/03/11 08:54]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): thanks to the weather it's as high as 1930's airtravel
  257. [2017/03/11 08:55]  Damiel Braham: it is oddly fun though I have just about completely basic avi i usefor that
  258. [2017/03/11 08:55]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): Pilots  are advised to wear a wetsuit while  flying, and carry scuba gear.
  259. [2017/03/11 08:55]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I once started following Airliners around to get an estimate of just how many people actually fly as passengers
  260. [2017/03/11 08:55]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I found it was about half of all Airlines ended up crashing
  261. [2017/03/11 08:56]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Which did also include bad border crossings
  262. [2017/03/11 08:56]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): we keep our on stats, thank you.
  263. [2017/03/11 08:56]  Samantha Han (sammy.han): own*
  264. [2017/03/11 08:56]  Damiel Braham: that is even more exciting rides than 30:s
  265. [2017/03/11 08:56]  KarHallarn: had that happen once... flew into Hollywood and got locked in a death spiral
  266. [2017/03/11 08:57]  KarHallarn: had 2 passengers
  267. [2017/03/11 08:58]  Damiel Braham: been thi nking of starting to run some small airports operation on the porter but lag kills me enough even on solo flights
  268. [2017/03/11 08:58]  Damiel Braham: I am not sure if it is my big ping to sim or if it is better for those in us
  269. [2017/03/11 08:59]  Damiel Braham: I will experiment next time when visiting wifes parents they are in nyc current laptop should run sl ok
  270. [2017/03/11 09:00]  Starbuckk Serapis: the porter can fly just about anywhere and isn't too bad on sim crossings when SL is in a 'good mood'
  271. [2017/03/11 09:00]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): ihad awful internet yesterday lag low fps i rebooted router seem to cure it
  272. [2017/03/11 09:00]  Damiel Braham: it is one of if not my best sim crosser
  273. [2017/03/11 09:01]  Damiel Braham: the porter
  274. [2017/03/11 09:01]  Damiel Braham: the piper arrow has been great too but I like porters rugged lines
  275. [2017/03/11 09:02]  Damiel Braham: it is endearingly ugly
  276. [2017/03/11 09:02]  Starbuckk Serapis: the wing span on the porter is problematic at a couple locations like Frasier Island and the canyon approaching Rivers Bend
  277. [2017/03/11 09:02]  Starbuckk Serapis: other than that its pretty versatile
  278. [2017/03/11 09:03]  Damiel Braham: yeah possible but not fun the rivers bend
  279. [2017/03/11 09:03]  Starbuckk Serapis: just have to bank a bit tight at one spot on approach to avoid the canyon walls
  280. [2017/03/11 09:03]  Damiel Braham: but that is good on the arrow and also on the tomahawk
  281. [2017/03/11 09:04]  Kira Jiagu: yeah i was flying a tri engine on the linden roads this morning and it was like moving a sofa into a  tokyo apartment
  282. [2017/03/11 09:05]  Lance Winterfeld: sounds like a velocity build. A flying couch airplane
  283. [2017/03/11 09:05]  Kira Jiagu: lol
  284. [2017/03/11 09:06]  Starbuckk Serapis: as for sim crossings, I'm finding the new BAe-146 handles them quite well... was even able to fly last night when things were a mess without a glitch as far as making the flight was concerned.  My huds all crashed but the plane and all five avatars survived
  285. [2017/03/11 09:06]  Kira Jiagu: i haven't  flown those
  286. [2017/03/11 09:06]  Kira Jiagu: i'm curious now
  287. [2017/03/11 09:06]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): demo available
  288. [2017/03/11 09:06]  Fey Blackheart (fey.twin): dont tell mal we get 75% commission please
  289. [2017/03/11 09:06]  Starbuckk Serapis: rofl
  290. [2017/03/11 09:07]  Skua Sarrasine: i thought it was 96 percent
  291. [2017/03/11 09:07]  Starbuckk Serapis: yah what kinda negotiation is a measly 75%? lol
  292. [2017/03/11 09:07]  Skua Sarrasine: lightweights
  293. [2017/03/11 09:07]  KarHallarn: naw... 130%
  294. [2017/03/11 09:07]  Kira Jiagu: I told you I don't shop at vendor farms ,  Fey!
  295. [2017/03/11 09:07]  Kira Jiagu: joking
  296. [2017/03/11 09:07]  Starbuckk Serapis: are you kicking back part of your commission to the owner? :p
  297. [2017/03/11 09:07]  Skua Sarrasine: 200 percent kickback
  298. [2017/03/11 09:07]  Lance Winterfeld: woo hoo
  299. [2017/03/11 09:08]  Mitch Spaartza: still on about this shit huh?, wow get a life people
  300. [2017/03/11 09:08]  Lance Winterfeld: a thrid life?
  301. [2017/03/11 09:08]  Mitch Spaartza: yup
  302. [2017/03/11 09:08]  Lance Winterfeld: third
  303. [2017/03/11 09:08]  Skua Sarrasine: 4th  lance
  304. [2017/03/11 09:08]  Lance Winterfeld: lol need more coffee
  305. [2017/03/11 09:08]  Starbuckk Serapis: really I have enough to keep up with two lives
  306. [2017/03/11 09:08]  Mitch Spaartza: and extra shin guards
  307. [2017/03/11 09:09]  Starbuckk Serapis: well that doesn't count all my alts ;)
  308. [2017/03/11 09:09]  Lance Winterfeld: haha
  309. [2017/03/11 09:09]  Skua Sarrasine: i've seen  dead horses  beaten  in here  for   YEARS  so  a few minutes  shouldt hurt
  310. [2017/03/11 09:09]  Starbuckk Serapis: I guess each alt would count as another life
  311. [2017/03/11 09:09]  Kira Jiagu: all my alts are sexier than me
  312. [2017/03/11 09:10]  KarHallarn: but what about your smexiness score Kira?
  313. [2017/03/11 09:10]  Kira Jiagu: so they're probly living better than me too
  314. [2017/03/11 09:10]  Starbuckk Serapis: besides blame Mal for stirring up the commission flames..He was getting tired of not stirring up the coals I guess
  315. [2017/03/11 09:10]  Skua Sarrasine: who's  mal?
  316. [2017/03/11 09:10]  Debi Dastardly: all my alts look like me, I'm not so good at being sneaky.
  317. [2017/03/11 09:10]  Damiel Braham: there is something oddly entertaining in velocity planes
  318. [2017/03/11 09:10]  Gota Blackheart: mal means something that is bad or spoiled in spanish
  319. [2017/03/11 09:10]  Damiel Braham: just need ork avatar and junkyard dog
  320. [2017/03/11 09:11]  Skua Sarrasine: mal  alor
  321. [2017/03/11 09:11]  Kira Jiagu: In 1st life i was a 7 that acted like a 10.  So It's likely  i do the same here.
  322. [2017/03/11 09:11]  Starbuckk Serapis: malicious .. somehting...the guy that wrote a blog entry this morning about the recent commission brouhaha
  323. [2017/03/11 09:11]  Gota Blackheart: Velocity has some interesting builds
  324. [2017/03/11 09:11]  Skua Sarrasine: ooooooohh  fake news?
  325. [2017/03/11 09:11]  Starbuckk Serapis: pretty much
  326. [2017/03/11 09:11]  Kira Jiagu: No idea who Velocity is. TP to demo?
  327. [2017/03/11 09:12]  ღJenny Dღ  (jdgirl1969): sunseeker is a great microlight
  328. [2017/03/11 09:12]  Debi Dastardly: Velocity is underrated really, some planes are different, but I love how they fly.

  336. [2017/03/11 09:17]  Binxie Fairey: The inhumanity of it all... Offering free planes  to get people to your airport !
  337. [2017/03/11 09:18]  Gota Blackheart: Laughing. We lure new people to our airports and give them free airplanes and if they enjoy flying and join our airline, we upgrade what they are flying.
  338. [2017/03/11 09:18]  Rich Reynaud: It's all Angus' fault. He put the vendor up without asking lol

  373. [2017/03/11 09:41]  Alex Zelin: It's not unusual to have to cut the throttle to avoid hazards in the water. Those hazards are not usually planes. O.O
  374. [2017/03/11 09:42]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I'm surprised no-one has done a 727 in Trump black and gold colours

  419. [2017/03/11 10:10]  Cubey Terra: As I've always said, crashing is the very best part of SL flying.
  420. [2017/03/11 10:11]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): If the plane bursts into flame it's a bonus
  421. [2017/03/11 10:11]  Alex Zelin: I once accidentally rotated the wings on an Osprey while I was on the ground. should have seen the rotors snap and go flying. O.O

  423. [2017/03/11 10:11]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): Cuby know what the real best part of SL aviation is. Finished Twins *ducks*

  431. [2017/03/11 10:13]  lale (lale.delvalle): well yesterday I took a bulldozer to a airfield so I can build a house
  432. [2017/03/11 10:14]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): careful, someone will start complaining that we are not talking about Aviation things and you know we MUST talk only about Aviation things in SL ALL the time
  433. [2017/03/11 10:14]  Alex Zelin: *stands in the corner, staring at the wall, and is very sorry for what she has done*
  434. [2017/03/11 10:14]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): were not talking aviation ?
  435. [2017/03/11 10:15]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): i thought we were talking crashes and unfinished twins
  436. [2017/03/11 10:15]  Alex Zelin: If Cubey is involved then we most certainly ARE talking aviation.
  437. [2017/03/11 10:15]  Marianne McCann: It's not a submarine, you know
  438. [2017/03/11 10:15]  Alex Zelin: No that's apparently Air Force One.
  439. [2017/03/11 10:15]  Alex Zelin: O.O
  440. [2017/03/11 10:15]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): Mari If cuby is invalved it can be a submarine as well :P
  441. [2017/03/11 10:15]  Alex Zelin: that's true! I have one of his planes that does that :D
  442. [2017/03/11 10:15]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): If Cubey is involved we can guarantee an interesting recipe for Chicken

  444. [2017/03/11 10:17]  Marianne McCann: True, Kimiko, though if you ever flew some of cubey's that weren't for water into water, you know that message
  445. [2017/03/11 10:18]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): ;p;
  446. [2017/03/11 10:18]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): I took the Atom out for a spin a few days ago

  471. [2017/03/11 11:03]  Marianne McCann: Having to fly by instinct and instruments
  472. [2017/03/11 11:04]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): i have done that as well can be fun
  473. [2017/03/11 11:05]  lale Delvalle: if your not sure about the landing, turn your lights on, if you don't like what you see, turn them off
  474. [2017/03/11 11:09]  Marianne McCann: hehe
  475. [2017/03/11 11:11]  Marianne McCann: Hmm.. in fact, I think I'll do a Bay City to Abbotts run with some heavy fog settings
  476. [2017/03/11 11:40]  Marianne McCann: Never have I been happier to spot the faintest outline of the lighthouse in Battery Passage
  477. [2017/03/11 11:41]  Caleb Kit: Is it laggy out there?
  478. [2017/03/11 11:41]  Marianne McCann: Naw, I was flying with a near total whiteout windlight on, in mouselook. So I did not have much to go on beyond visual markers and instruments
  479. [2017/03/11 11:41]  Caleb Kit: wow
  480. [2017/03/11 11:42]  Marianne McCann: My view was like so: https://my.secondlife.com/marianne.mccann/snapshots/58c44faaf8a1ec7030000001
  481. [2017/03/11 11:43]  Serena Lexington: The joy of IFR flying lol
  482. [2017/03/11 11:43]  Marianne McCann: Totally
  483. [2017/03/11 11:44]  Marianne McCann: I did get turned around a bit on the Gulf of Lauren, which led to a bit of "where the heck am I?"
  484. [2017/03/11 11:44]  Serena Lexington: The fabulous feeling when at last you can see the approach lights on the threshold of the runway lol
  485. [2017/03/11 11:45]  Marianne McCann: Totally. Once i spotted the top of the Battery Passage lighthouse, I was all "Yes!"
  486. [2017/03/11 11:45]  Serena Lexington: he he
  487. [2017/03/11 11:45]  Marianne McCann: And never happier to see that old arrow marker in Hau Koda, too
  488. [2017/03/11 11:45]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): funny thing is that same disprentation is a issue in RL
  489. [2017/03/11 11:46]  Marianne McCann: It was fun though. I'd recommend it to anyone seeking a bit of a challenge out there
  490. [2017/03/11 11:46]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): hence why such tools as Synthetic vision are so popular these days.
  491. [2017/03/11 11:47]  Marianne McCann: I know the Bay City > Abbots route like the back of my hand, and this REALLY kicked up the challenge, even for a seasoned vet.
  492. [2017/03/11 11:47]  Marianne McCann: /me nods
  493. [2017/03/11 11:48]  Serena Lexington: I recommend shooting ILS with Yetius HSI hud in IFR windlight, it's great almost like in FSX
  494. [2017/03/11 11:48]  Marianne McCann: I may need t tinker with that
  495. [2017/03/11 11:48]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): i was going to recomend that
  496. [2017/03/11 11:48]  Serena Lexington: lol Kim
  497. [2017/03/11 11:48]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): and Kelly's GPS
  498. [2017/03/11 11:49]  Serena Lexington: yes but no minimap
  499. [2017/03/11 11:49]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): no minimap but Kells GPS works great as a replacemnt
  500. [2017/03/11 11:50]  Serena Lexington: yes but with kelly GPS you can't sheat because there are no sim names lol
  501. [2017/03/11 11:50]  Marianne McCann: /me was old school, and only had a compass and what few visual markers I could spot
  502. [2017/03/11 11:50]  Serena Lexington: you gotta know the map
  503. [2017/03/11 11:51]  Serena Lexington: Yes Marianne that was definitely more challenging without GPS
  504. [2017/03/11 11:51]  Marianne McCann: It was one of those times I'm glad the PA-18 doesn't have fuel to keep track of. Though that would have even further upped the ante
  505. [2017/03/11 11:51]  Serena Lexington: hehehe
  506. [2017/03/11 11:51]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): Basicly Mari did a IFR into IMC

  628. [2017/03/11 13:55]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): really, you'd rather a gazelle over a lynx, mal?
  629. [2017/03/11 13:55]  Darsh Lucero: ooh EC135
  630. [2017/03/11 13:55]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): Well take his attitude Tank

  632. [2017/03/11 13:56]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): actually the helli i'm most interested in seeing in sl (might build one some day don't know) is the new siskorsky

  634. [2017/03/11 13:57]  Kelly Shergood: s97 is on my short list
  635. [2017/03/11 13:57]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Well, I like the Gazelle, fast as all hell. The pilots of them I saw always had a big smile on their face after they landed

  642. [2017/03/11 14:04]  JC Pax (jclark919): yha first flight was in 2015. its in demonstration phase of development
  643. [2017/03/11 14:05]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): I like that they went Back to an old concept design
  644. [2017/03/11 14:05]  Jedburgh Dagger (jedburgh30.dagger): it looks like the Commanche
  645. [2017/03/11 14:06]  SASHA (gliese581): http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Quietly%20Red/84/90/23
  646.  Since we are getting a bit "pack" here, we have extended the runway 36 , 1/3 longer, also new FREE docks for WATERPLANES at new ENDEAVOUR marina, IF YOU NEED A FREE dock for your WATERPLANE or BOAT rush!!! will not last long, you will find a teleporter at Endeavour Yachts shop right side of runway 36!!
  647.  Hangars all gone , trying to find space for new ones for airliners
  648. [2017/03/11 14:06]  kev Barony: who with what comanche? o3o
  649. [2017/03/11 14:06]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): talking about the s-97 kev
  650. [2017/03/11 14:07]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): THat looks much cooler than the comanche though!
  651. [2017/03/11 14:08]  Darsh Lucero: and more efficient, too
  652. [2017/03/11 14:10]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): more moving parts though. i feel like its less pratcial
  653. [2017/03/11 14:10]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): practical *
  654. [2017/03/11 14:10]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): so who's going to build it first ?
  655. [2017/03/11 14:10]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): Im not touchin it XD
  656. [2017/03/11 14:11]  Kimiko լαştςђαηςε (atosuria.daviau): you got stuf to finish kev
  657. [2017/03/11 14:11]  Darsh Lucero: well not really.
  658. [2017/03/11 14:11]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): at the rate i go probably kelly lol
  659. [2017/03/11 14:11]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I know :P im workin on it
  660. [2017/03/11 14:12]  Darsh Lucero: you have contrarotating blades, two swashplates and a simple propeller at the back
  661. [2017/03/11 14:13]  Darsh Lucero: this means that, unlike a single main rotor, you do not have the retreating blade problem
  662. [2017/03/11 14:14]  Darsh Lucero: that severely limits the top speed of an helicopter
  663. [2017/03/11 14:14]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): they're also riggid rotors
  664. [2017/03/11 14:15]  Kelly Shergood: the rigid rotors simplifies the modeling
  665. [2017/03/11 14:15]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): Whats a disadvantage of having two counter rotating blades to the left and right of the craft? kinda like what the ospray does but leave them fixed
  666. [2017/03/11 14:15]  Darsh Lucero: advantage
  667. [2017/03/11 14:16]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): i mean if its a good work around why not make that a standard
  668. [2017/03/11 14:16]  JC Pax (jclark919): theres 2 being developed. s97  and the SB1 Defiant. should make both :p
  669. [2017/03/11 14:16]  yukigurl: if one motor give out your screwed
  670. [2017/03/11 14:16]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): Well
  671. [2017/03/11 14:16]  Darsh Lucero: with a single rotor, above a certain speed, half of the rotor disk stops providing enough lift
  672. [2017/03/11 14:16]  Kelly Shergood: they are geared together, not separate motors per rotor
  673. [2017/03/11 14:16]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): If you did 2 fixed rotors on the outsides of fusealage like the Ospreys but made them fixed not articulate
  674. [2017/03/11 14:17]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): you'd have a very unmanuverable aircraft
  675. [2017/03/11 14:17]  Rich Reynaud: Both motors power both rotors on the osprey and other similar designs.
  676. [2017/03/11 14:17]  Darsh Lucero: bull, that's a drachen
  677. [2017/03/11 14:17]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): Ik im responding to Kev
  678. [2017/03/11 14:17]  yukigurl: wouldent the ospray turn useing tourqu though
  679. [2017/03/11 14:17]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): It'd be an inefficient design
  680. [2017/03/11 14:18]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): but what about helis that have them to the front and back?
  681. [2017/03/11 14:18]  Rich Reynaud: counter-rotating rotors
  682. [2017/03/11 14:18]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): like CH-47's
  683. [2017/03/11 14:18]  Rich Reynaud: Same... chinook... geared together
  684. [2017/03/11 14:18]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): Yes but those are off set on Axis though
  685. [2017/03/11 14:18]  Kelly Shergood: some dual rotor helicopters even have intermeshing blades,  the rotor disks intersect, but gearing keeps the blades from hitting
  686. [2017/03/11 14:18]  Rich Reynaud: You can see the shaft running along the top of the fuselage.
  687. [2017/03/11 14:18]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): The rear rotor is higher then the front rotor
  688. [2017/03/11 14:19]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): The Russians experimented with a twin rotor Helo Design
  689. [2017/03/11 14:20]  Darsh Lucero: Kamovs
  690. [2017/03/11 14:20]  yukigurl: umm
  691. [2017/03/11 14:20]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): No like the Osprey setup
  692. [2017/03/11 14:20]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): Was a Mil Moscow Bird
  693. [2017/03/11 14:20]  Darsh Lucero: you mean the V-12?
  694. [2017/03/11 14:20]  Crim (crim.mip): It may be fine, but intermeshed rotors never seemed like a very good idea to me
  695. [2017/03/11 14:20]  Rich Reynaud: That's the one
  696. [2017/03/11 14:21]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): Mil-12
  697. [2017/03/11 14:21]  Rich Reynaud: https://vertipedia.vtol.org/images/aircraft/10278699713_d5ea0b62e3_o.jpg
  698. [2017/03/11 14:21]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): the first true helicopters were side by side rotorrs
  699. [2017/03/11 14:21]  Kelly Shergood: kamen kmax is an example.  does seems scary
  700. [2017/03/11 14:21]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): http://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/9/3/7/1765739.jpg?v=v40
  701. [2017/03/11 14:21]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): the germans built two different ones
  702. [2017/03/11 14:21]  Rich Reynaud: Same bird Bull
  703. [2017/03/11 14:21]  Kelly Shergood: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaman_K-MAX#/media/File:Kaman_K-1200_K-Max_2011_01.jpg
  704. [2017/03/11 14:22]  JC Pax (jclark919): the kmax is awesome
  705. [2017/03/11 14:22]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): the larger of the two was actually the first helicopter to cross the english channel and was supposed to be used to recue mousilini but was grounded by mechanical issues
  706. [2017/03/11 14:22]  Darsh Lucero: k-max. They stopped making those sadly
  707. [2017/03/11 14:22]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): They are using the K-Max in so autonomous flight atm actually
  708. [2017/03/11 14:22]  JC Pax (jclark919): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYOvuCYQueg
  709. [2017/03/11 14:22]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): I watched somthing the other day Marines are experiementing with and Un-manned K-max to deliver supplys and such
  710. [2017/03/11 14:23]  Darsh Lucero: oh, didn't know that
  711. [2017/03/11 14:23]  yukigurl: damn nice drone
  712. [2017/03/11 14:23]  Darsh Lucero: that's a great skylifting platform
  713. [2017/03/11 14:24]  JC Pax (jclark919): has a 6K lbs carry weight
  714. [2017/03/11 14:24]  JC Pax (jclark919): can carry more then its empty weight
  715. [2017/03/11 14:25]  yukigurl: russians would probably convert a mi-26 to beat that
  716. [2017/03/11 14:25]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): has anyone ever experiments on vector thrusting for civil aircraft?
  717. [2017/03/11 14:26]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): experimented *
  718. [2017/03/11 14:26]  JC Pax (jclark919): bell 609
  719. [2017/03/11 14:27]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): He means like on the Harrier how its Vectored Thrust
  720. [2017/03/11 14:27]  Darsh Lucero: bell sold the whole project to agusta westland
  721. [2017/03/11 14:27]  JC Pax (jclark919): yha
  722. [2017/03/11 14:27]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): To my knowledge no, Because Vectored Thrust in itself is a complex and inefficient manner of flight
  723. [2017/03/11 14:27]  JC Pax (jclark919): yay chat lag
  724. [2017/03/11 14:28]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): No i mean like F-22 or Russion SU aircraft with 4 axis tilt
  725. [2017/03/11 14:28]  JC Pax (jclark919): AW
  726. [2017/03/11 14:28]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): +
  727. [2017/03/11 14:28]  JC Pax (jclark919): not bell
  728. [2017/03/11 14:28]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): No
  729. [2017/03/11 14:29]  Darsh Lucero: which i think it's struggling to find customers so we'll hardly see one in the wild anytime soon outside the usual test mules
  730. [2017/03/11 14:29]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I dont see it as effective for pitch and roll but i think you could eliminate the rudder for vector thrusting.
  731. [2017/03/11 14:29]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): like the F-15 Active.
  732. [2017/03/11 14:29]  Darsh Lucero: vectored trust is useful only if you need exceptional agility
  733. [2017/03/11 14:30]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I see it to be useful for low and slow flight as well where you can have a high angle of attack and point thrust downward to create extra lift, but then i think youd be fighting center of thrust with center of lift at that point.. hmmm...
  734. [2017/03/11 14:30]  DAN (dan.pevensey): how about a large gyro copter like this first one in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a882megKhVM
  735. [2017/03/11 14:30]  Darsh Lucero: so not very useful for commercial use
  736. [2017/03/11 14:31]  JC Pax (jclark919): Kev make one :p
  737. [2017/03/11 14:31]  Darsh Lucero: Kev, there are already helicopters for that
  738. [2017/03/11 14:31]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): WELL I DONT LIKE HELICOPTERS SO NYA :U XDD
  739. [2017/03/11 14:31]  Darsh Lucero: i got what you need
  740. [2017/03/11 14:32]  Gigan (gigan.seraph): Lithium?
  741. [2017/03/11 14:32]  JC Pax (jclark919): i like the concept of the Bus from Shield
  742. [2017/03/11 14:32]  Darsh Lucero: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0StW7p4eXcI
  743. [2017/03/11 14:32]  DAN (dan.pevensey): always wanted someone to build that JC
  744. [2017/03/11 14:32]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I did hear there was talk about catapult launched airliners.
  745. [2017/03/11 14:32]  Darsh Lucero: go to 0:28
  746. [2017/03/11 14:32]  JC Pax (jclark919): Kev make this lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPB37OcHDPo
  747. [2017/03/11 14:33]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): Oh god that looks too funny XD
  748. [2017/03/11 14:33]  JC Pax (jclark919): lol
  749. [2017/03/11 14:33]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): But jets make a horrible vertical lifting force
  750. [2017/03/11 14:33]  Rich Reynaud: Someone, please make it happen...
  751. [2017/03/11 14:33]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): purly becouse of their reaction time
  752. [2017/03/11 14:33]  Nicholas Hawthorne: if you make the bus from the sheild,. why not just make a standard C-17 then??
  753. [2017/03/11 14:33]  JC Pax (jclark919): hahah rich is on bored!!
  754. [2017/03/11 14:34]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I think tahts too big for Sl
  755. [2017/03/11 14:34]  JC Pax (jclark919): there is a c17 in SL
  756. [2017/03/11 14:34]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): the short 737 in my opinion is just about the limit for SL
  757. [2017/03/11 14:34]  Nicholas Hawthorne: yeah a sculpty one lol
  758. [2017/03/11 14:34]  JC Pax (jclark919): old school 32 prim aircraft. not bad for what it is
  759. [2017/03/11 14:35]  JC Pax (jclark919): Kev take that concept for some thing the size of a c130.
  760. [2017/03/11 14:35]  JC Pax (jclark919): make a brand new aircraft
  761. [2017/03/11 14:35]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I am making a brand new aircraft in the background as it is right now XD
  762. [2017/03/11 14:35]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): when i was digging for the orka i ran across this thing
  763. [2017/03/11 14:35]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): https://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints-depot/modernplanes/modern-c/ckd-praga-e211.png
  764. [2017/03/11 14:35]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): its more based off the Farrari aircraft.
  765. [2017/03/11 14:36]  Xi Larnia: that's neat looking
  766. [2017/03/11 14:36]  JC Pax (jclark919): make a heli carrier :p that we can park in the blake and land on too
  767. [2017/03/11 14:36]  Xi Larnia: you need to build that, Tank
  768. [2017/03/11 14:36]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): Whats too big for sl in your opinion?
  769. [2017/03/11 14:37]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40RKegr9zk8
  770. [2017/03/11 14:37]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): finishing that up right now :P
  771. [2017/03/11 14:37]  Nicholas Hawthorne: depends. if it's on tarmac at an airport or otherwise... lol
  772. [2017/03/11 14:38]  DAN (dan.pevensey): been waiting along time for that tank lmao
  773. [2017/03/11 14:38]  Xi Larnia: not your Orka,, the blue prints you posted up. That is a neat plane too
  774. [2017/03/11 14:38]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): Lot of strong releases coming out in the next few months.. with Zora's lear, my Falcon, Tanks Orka, im sure Karl and Aeon have things in the works too
  775. [2017/03/11 14:39]  JC Pax (jclark919): been waiting years for a c23 sherpa lol
  776. [2017/03/11 14:40]  DAN (dan.pevensey): will buy them all lol there the perfect size aircraft for SL
  777. [2017/03/11 14:40]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): Think Tig has some stuff in the works too but i havnt spoken to her in a while. And a few new builders are peekign their heads into sl
  778. [2017/03/11 14:40]  Gigan (gigan.seraph): /me wavies to Siris.
  779. [2017/03/11 14:41]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): hey gigan
  780. [2017/03/11 14:41]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): On the other spectrum of size
  781. [2017/03/11 14:41]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): i saw a rather interesting plane that looked liek ti came right out of a pixar movie..
  782. [2017/03/11 14:42]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAdCt6qgj9k&t=30s
  783. [2017/03/11 14:42]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): Its sporting two RC jet engines...
  784. [2017/03/11 14:42]  Gigan (gigan.seraph): How goes the Orka, anyway?
  785. [2017/03/11 14:42]  JC Pax (jclark919): thats a tiny plane
  786. [2017/03/11 14:42]  JC Pax (jclark919): lol
  787. [2017/03/11 14:43]  JC Pax (jclark919): that thing crashes theres more body parts then aircraft wreckage
  788. [2017/03/11 14:43]  Siris Vulpecula (tank.kwaszes): it has a cargo door that works now :D
  789. [2017/03/11 14:44]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I LOVE IT THOUGH XD ITS SO FUNNY ITS AWESOME!
  790. [2017/03/11 14:44]  JC Pax (jclark919): lol
  791. [2017/03/11 14:44]  JC Pax (jclark919): jsut make the james bond plane
  792. [2017/03/11 14:44]  Marianne McCann: SL *totally* needs a good Cricri jet
  793. [2017/03/11 14:44]  JC Pax (jclark919): BD-5
  794. [2017/03/11 14:44]  Darsh Lucero: isn't there one already?
  795. [2017/03/11 14:44]  JC Pax (jclark919): its attachment
  796. [2017/03/11 14:44]  JC Pax (jclark919): and old as shit
  797. [2017/03/11 14:45]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I saw a demonstration of the Jets attached to a lawn table. full throttle it can just barly make the table fall over. putting two on a tiny plane can get a man airborn. thats rather amazing to me
  798. [2017/03/11 14:45]  Josette Chaffe: not a jet only x2 lawnmower motors
  799. [2017/03/11 14:45]  Crim (crim.mip): Um, there is a CriCri from Drover I think
  800. [2017/03/11 14:45]  Crim (crim.mip): It actually flies fairly well
  801. [2017/03/11 14:46]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): Litturally googled worlds smallest jet engine and got that little pixar disaster.
  802. [2017/03/11 14:46]  JC Pax (jclark919): at least the BD-5 holds a certification other then experimental
  803. [2017/03/11 14:47]  Darsh Lucero: BD-5 is pusher prop
  804. [2017/03/11 14:47]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): So not the plane that james Bond had?
  805. [2017/03/11 14:47]  Darsh Lucero: BD-5J, on the other hand...
  806. [2017/03/11 14:47]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): Tiny little one-man jet plane. Came out a horses ass
  807. [2017/03/11 14:48]  Mal (malcious.vuckovic): oh no wait that was a BD-5
  808. [2017/03/11 14:48]  Darsh Lucero: http://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/7/1/5/1953517.jpg?v=v40
  809. [2017/03/11 14:48]  Darsh Lucero: BD-5J
  810. [2017/03/11 14:48]  Josette Chaffe: need to be excellent pilot for fly with that that forgive not the least error I know well real cricri and user cricri
  811. [2017/03/11 14:49]  DAN (dan.pevensey): here is cricri  in SL https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Colomban-Cri-Cri/9436709
  812. [2017/03/11 14:49]  Darsh Lucero: it does look like it's on the edge of the performance envelope every time
  813. [2017/03/11 14:50]  Josette Chaffe: good performance yes
  814. [2017/03/11 14:54]  Rebecca Rathbone (fortnight.baxton): I've always wondered... what's the best draw distance for flying?
  815. [2017/03/11 14:55]  Rich Reynaud: The highest your system can support.
  816. [2017/03/11 14:56]  Crim (crim.mip): That depends mostly on your connection speed and computer's capabilities. I usually try to keep mine just over 300.
  817. [2017/03/11 14:56]  JC Pax (jclark919): 350 is where i sit but i can go out to max.
  818. [2017/03/11 14:56]  Crim (crim.mip): And I turn off the stuff that won't matter in an aircraft anyway.
  819. [2017/03/11 14:57]  Charlemagne Allen: PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT
  820. [2017/03/11 14:57]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): i fly at 200
  821. [2017/03/11 14:57]  Charlemagne Allen: If you set it at 500, you can snipe people over borders
  822. [2017/03/11 14:57]  JC Pax (jclark919): you dont need 500 for that jsut over 250
  823. [2017/03/11 14:58]  Rebecca Rathbone (fortnight.baxton): I've been doing 320
  824. [2017/03/11 14:58]  Rebecca Rathbone (fortnight.baxton): If I got most of the eye candy off I should get best performance?
  825. [2017/03/11 15:00]  Crim (crim.mip): Flexiprims, trees, Avatars get shut down to minimum and terrain goes to half.
  826. [2017/03/11 15:00]  Crim (crim.mip): It's mostly a matter of lightening the load on your viewer. I usually turn off atmospherics, but leave transparent water on. Local lights and bump mapping I turn off.
  827. [2017/03/11 15:02]  Kyo Cipher (kev.barony): I think SL can only load about a sim past the one you are on so anything more than 300 is pointless
  828. [2017/03/11 15:09]  Rebecca Rathbone (fortnight.baxton): taking off from HLT...
  829. [2017/03/11 15:09]  Rebecca Rathbone (fortnight.baxton): mind the red plane! ^_^
  830. [2017/03/11 15:14]  Rebecca Rathbone (fortnight.baxton): wow nailed a landing by just turning into the runway.
  831. [2017/03/11 15:14]  Rebecca Rathbone (fortnight.baxton): even got the throttle right and the flaps.
  832. [2017/03/11 15:15]  Antonio (antoniopaladin): how to use the guns on the s-18 sub ?
  833. [2017/03/11 15:15]  Antonio (antoniopaladin): machine gun ?
  834. [2017/03/11 15:15]  FrankBeta: try purple haze
  835. [2017/03/11 15:15]  Antonio (antoniopaladin): ?
  836. [2017/03/11 15:33]  Bull Hui: Is anyone else having issues with their Gridtalkie?
  837. [2017/03/11 15:34]  Marianne McCann: /me slips hers on
  838. [2017/03/11 15:34]  Marianne McCann: Working fine here, seems like. What sort of problem?
  839. [2017/03/11 15:35]  Cubey Terra: I've had it. I'm taking names and chewing gummy bears. And I'm all out of gummy bears.
  840.
  841.  Anyway, I blogged. But blogs are so not cool anymore, so don't read this: http://cavers.ca/second-life-i-demand-names/
  842.
  843.  Also, does anyone else like to each cheese while flying? I've got to have a little selection of cheeses and a nice cup of Oolong. And pickles. And sliced meats. In fact, a full-on charcuterie board. Don't forget the tiny fork. You don't want food all over your keyboard. Also, penguins.
  844. [2017/03/11 15:35]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): What channel you om?
  845. [2017/03/11 15:35]  Marianne McCann: Lobby, Sansara, nd Unicom
  846. [2017/03/11 15:35]  uǝpıɐɹ ınɥ 1-ɥn ןןnq (bull.hui): Go to channel 16
