- ## Meetups/Networking Events: Identify 1 meetup and/or other networking event that you'll attend between now and the end of Module 3.
- Denver.rb Meetup @ GoSpotCheck on February 13th.
- Answer these questions:
- ### Why will you attend this particular event?
- I have not yet attended a developer oriented meetup and being that this one is in Ruby, this will at least be relevant to my level of knowledge right now. It will also be interesting to see what an office at a web dev firm looks like.
- ### Who do you hope to connect with at this event?
- Anyone who might share similar interests and is willing to meet again for coffee and be potential contact in the industry.
- ### How will you follow-up with the people you connect at this event?
- Through a follow up email.
- ## Warm Outreach: Identify a mentor, alum, or someone else in the Turing community you will reach out to by the end of Module 3. If you have someone you'd like to reach out to outside of the Turing community, go for it!
- Describe: Sonia Gupta
- ### Why you want to connect with this person and what you hope to talk about
- I have already met this person for lunch once but haven't reached out in a long time. Will try to reach out again, she could be a good resource to ask how to use twitter to my advantage as a developer.
- ### When you will contact them by and how you plan to meet
- As soon as I find out if I passed Mod 2, I will ask to have coffee and give a choice of time during the intermission.
- ### What your follow-up will look like once you've met with them
- This next meeting will be the follow-up meeting. I hope to show her what I've been working on and ask her to meet more regularly, it is my fault that the communication has lapsed.
- ### Other
- I also made a friend recently who is a developer in Boulder and I think he could be a possible connection. I plan to reach out to him and meet him for a more professional minded interaction.
