  1. Gray Team, a squad made up of three Spartan IIs. Jai-006, the leader, Adriana-111, and Mike-120. The main idea behind this squad was to get the three most independent/rebellious conscripts and put them together, creating a unit capable of adapting to most situations with little support. Their trainings zoned in on being able to work independently of others as well, which assisted in covert missions they would be sent on behind enemy lines without requiring additional support.
  2. It all began with a friendship forming between Adriana and Jai in the earlier stages of conscription. Jai was attempting to escape the UNSC facility when Adriana found him. She offered a paper clip she had stolen, which he’d be able to use as a lockpick. After that a foundation for their friendship was created, and they would attempt to sneak out together. Despite being recaptured time after time, their attempts to escape did not cease. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t so much about the actual escaping as it was a show of rebellion towards the Spartan program.
  3. Jai eventually spoke to Dr. Catherine Halsey about wanting to leave the Spartan program. She had said that he would be able to go home if he underwent neural paralysis. However, she also brought up Adriana, who he seemed to have grown close to, and that he would never remember her. Halsey also explained that if he tried escaping any more he would be shot with a neural paralysis dart and put in the middle of a random city. All of this discouraged him from leaving or attempting to escape any further.
  4. Mike-120 still hadn’t met Jai or Adriana yet until he met up with them after an engagement with the UNSC. At the time Mike was only six and he learned to fly a pelican just by watching the pilot who had dropped him off. He eventually made it to a shipyard where he stole one and attempted to escape the camp. He was chased down by the UNSC and forced to blow it up. After the ordeal he was put together with two other rebels, Adriana and Mike, to form Gray Team.
  5. Gray Team consisted of the three most disruptive candidates and who were hard to control. Reasons being, resistance to indoctrination, lack of social interaction with others, and countless escape attempts. These actions proved to be costly, resulting in injuries to trainers, and a pelican being stolen and blown up. It was decided to train them separately and form them into their own team, Gray Team, with Jai as the leader.
  6. Chi Ceti IV is a planet that had a training facility called Damascus, in which every active Spartan II was being sent to when a Covenant frigate had slip spaced in and began attacking their ship, the Commonwealth. The Covenant used technology that superseded that of the Commonwealth’s capability, they began to consider other options. Soon they decided to attempt infiltration of the Covenant’s ship, sending Blue Team and Gray Team. They had used their thruster packs to reach the frigate, however navigation was minimal, so they essentially had to aim, jump, and hope they didn’t miss.
  7. It was vital that they managed to defend the Commonwealth, or every Spartan II aboard would be destroyed, and humanity would be no closer to fighting off this seemingly all powerful enemy. As Blue team (John-117, Samuel-034, and Kelly-087.) and Gray Team launched towards the Covenant ship, Blue Team successfully managed to gain entrance, whereas Gray Team had missed their target and flew past, having to use their thruster packs to return to the Commonwealth.
  8. Blue Team made first contact aboard the ship when they met a jackal, they shot it dead. Eventually a firefight began and Samuel was hit by a stray plasma round. With his armor damaged he couldn’t go back into the vacuum of space. He decided to defend the bomb until it detonated. Soon enough Blue Team returned to their ship, just after destroying the enemy ship. However, only two Spartans had returned, the loss of Samuel-034 had a great impact on the Spartan IIs. He was the first Spartan to die in the Human-Covenant war.
  9. In 2535 Gray Team was tasked with destroying all evidence of Earth and it’s location in the 23 Librae system. The Lagrangian asteroids following the gas giant Hesiod housed many insurrectionists settlements known as the Rubble. As soon as they were in the Rubble they immediately began preparing for a prolonged stay. They stole the Petya, a freighter, and equipped it with a military-grade slip space drive and set out to complete their mission.
  10. Ignatio Delgado, a resident of the Rubble who was part of the Rubble Defense Force, was assigned with the mission of protecting the Rubble Security Council and the data chip that held the coordinates of Earth. Delgado and his copilot Melko Hollister were engaged by a group of Kig-Yar, Hollister managed to escape with the data but died while en route. Delgado was rescued by Adriana-111 and she asked for data in exchange for saving him. Delgado refused and Adriana was forced to just give him an emergency beacon if the chip was attacked again.
  11. While in orbit, the AI Juliana disabled Gray Team’s freighter and made a deal with them. They would receive the location of any data regarding the navigation of the Rubble in exchange for their aid in protecting it from the Kig-Yar fleet that was searching for the data. Juliana discovered the Kig-Yar’s movements and Gray team disabled the Distancia, An insurrectionist ship that was being piloted by Peter Bonifacio, who was going to give the data to Reth, the Kig-Yar commander. Adriana and Mike-120 disabled the Distancia to retrieve the data while Jai-006 rescued Keyes and his fellow crewmates who had been imprisoned.
  12. Adriana had taken out the bodyguards aboard the ship but Bonifacio had already escaped. She found a surviving and contacted Bonifacio, he gave he the location of the data in exchange for letting him free. Adriana and Mike made their way back to help the others. Meanwhile Juliana and Jai decided to take over the Infinite Spoils, a Kig-Yar raiding ship, to confirm the Kig-Yar’s assault. A group of ODSTs were deployed from the Mighty Sparrow and inserted Juliana into the Kig-Yar battle network while another group assaulted the airlock outside, they gained data on Reth’s plans to assault the Rubble.
  13. During the infiltration Thel Vadame and his Sangheili warriors attacked the Mighty Sparrow. Delgado and Major Farison who were aboard escaped onto the Infinite Spoils. Thel and Zhar followed the humans and ran into Farison who had been shot. Zhar was engaged and killed the major. Shortly after Thel ran into Jai-006 and engaged into hand to hand combat, calling Jai a demon. Jai retreated and Thel and Zhar took the ship for themselves. After meeting back up, Delgado decided to hand Jai the AI chip containing Juliana to depressurize the area and kill the Kig-Yar not in a suit. The majority of the Kig-Yar were killed and Gray Team made their way back to their ship to prepare for the oncoming assault in the Battle of Metisette.
  14. After the battle of the Rubble, the Rubble security council were willing to work together with the UNSC to defeat their common enemy: the Kig-Yar and Unggoy located on Metisette, which had been a natural satellite of Hesiod. Natural satellite is simply another name for ‘moon’. Though they had little time, as the combined Jackal-Grunt forces were prepared to attack the Rubble at any moment. Inhabitants of the Rubble evacuated on the asteroid called the Exodus.
  15. The Exodus was capable of holding all fo the Rubble’s citizens, and it was capable of entering slipspace. As for the UNSC, they boarded the Midsummer Night to fly to Metisette, as the Rubble Defense Force created a fleet to protect the Rubble during its evacuation.
  16. Soon enough Covenant forces arrived and began attacking the Rubble, who moved to intercept them. The Midsummer Night, which was approaching Metisette and performed a SOEIV deployment (Single Occupant Exoatmospheric Insertion Vehicle) in which two main forces of ODSTs were deployed. One led by Jai-006 and the other by Adriana-111. Adriana had landed amongst the Unggoy, a rather large group of them in fact. Using her battle rifle, M41 rocket launcher, and a Mongoose (which she used to literally, physically beat the Unggoy to death) she ended up clearing out the large group of Unggoy. After regrouping with her ODST squad, she discovered only 6 of the 16 were still alive. Nevertheless, they destroyed their anti-aircraft guns.
  17. Meanwhile Jai’s squad landed with a Shiva class nuclear missile, planting it at the sensor hub and set the timer for 2 hours. The Midsummer Night, now no longer in danger of the Kig-Yar’s anti-air defense, landed and retrieved Gray Team along with the ODSTs. The Shiva detonated, damaging the Redoubts sensors as well as the Redoubt. Afterwards the Midsummer Night escorted the Exodus in its retreat. They returned to a UNSC colony, Falaknuma, with the survivors of the Rubble, who were granted refuge. Then Gray Team received their next set of orders: Going even farther into enemy territory. They liked that.
  18. Operation: SUNSPEAR was its name. After the Fall of Reach and the death of a majority of the Spartans, Gray Team was one of the only options at a counter attack. The objective was this: eliminate as many Covenant military leaders as possible and destroy one of their main worlds with a NOVA bomb. Using the prowler UNSC Vacuna, the embarked on their mission. As the Covenant began invading Earth, the original goal was to destroy the planet Sanghelios, though quickly discovered it was too heavily defended. Their next option was a nearby planet called Glyke, home to billions of Sangheili citizens. In December of the same year, they landed and prepared the NOVA for detonation, but not managing to make it away before receiving damage to their Prowler. However, the entire surface had been reaped of all life.
  19. Gray Team evacuated into the Class-5 Bumblebee escape pod, codenamed Whiskey Tango Foxtrot One. (WTF1) They began drifting through space, though managed to grab cryo chambers before the escape, so they would enter cryo-sleep and awaited rescue. The UNSC ended up winning the war, with the Great Schism. Gray Team was listed MIA, as was the custom for SIIs. Their lifeboat drifted through space six years before being found by the Sangheili warship Unwavering Discipline. The vessel’s fleetmaster, Rojka ‘Kaasan, brought them to Carrow, with no intention of freeing them.
  20. The colony of Carrow was inhabited both human and Sangheili colonists, though not happily. There was an ongoing war among two elite commanders on Carrow; FleetMaster Thars ‘Sarov and Kaidon Rojka ‘Kasaan. Melody Azikiwe, an envoy sent by the UNSC, was sent to find peace between the inhabitants. Aboard Rojka’s ship she tried to convince him to let Gray Team out of stasis. Rojka refuses and explains that Gray Team has committed a great sin and must be punished for their actions, referring to OPERATION: SUNBREAKER. Melody eventually snuck her way into the stasis room.
  21. After being in stasis since the end of the War Gray team was finally let out by Melody, the Spartan’s engaged the elites pursuing her. Jai and Adriana took care of the Sangheili while Mike hacked his way into the ship’s systems. They take Melody and escape in the pod they used to escape Glyke. Amusingly they called the Bumblebee pod, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. They then headed for the desert city of Saraca located on the surface of Carrow, where the brute chieftan Hekabe was planning an attack.
  22. Hekabe was a brute that was trying to unify his people and make them strong again. He seeks revenge because of when the humans killed his children during one of the battles. Hekabe begins to dig for something on Carrow, utilizing his ship, the Phobae to drill into the dug and grunts to move the debris. While digging, one of his lieutenants, Anexus, reveals that the humans a moving in for a counter attack. Hekabe utterly destroys the attackers and leaves no survivors.
  23. In an ONI base, Melody reveals Hekabe’s plan to enter a forerunner facility containing an ancient species, the Sharquoi. He plans to use them to take over Carrow and every other Human/Sangheili world. The base is attacked by Thars’s forces and Gray Team escapes leaving Melody and another ONI personnel in the base. Thars interrogates Melody and he refuses to believe her. Suddenly Rojka grabs Melody and escapes with her. After hearing what she has said Rojka agrees with her and plans to help Gray Team assault the Forerunner facility.
  24. Meanwhile Hekabe finds a helmet that allows to control the sharquoi and is attacking Carrow’s settlements. Gray Team and Rojka, accompanied by his elites, make their way to Hekabe and confront the sharquoi protecting Hekabe. Among the firefight Hekabe is shot and temporarily disabled. Even though half of his face is gone, he continues to control the sharquoi until an opening is made and an EMP blast is fired, disabling the technology, giving time for the helmet to be removed from Hekabe. All of the sharquoi are brought back to the facility and it’s blown up to remove the threat forever. Gray Team is debriefed in Orbit of the current status of the galaxy and they’re assigned to a joint Human-Sangheili fireteam. The team has one request: a new prowler.
