Personality: Yun-Hye holds up a tough front best she can, trying to remain confident and strong on the outside, while inside she’s breaking down- and most people see it too. She hates sharing her feeling, it makes her feel weak and like a burden, but it causes her breakdowns. So she’s working on masking her feelings depending on where she is and who she’s with; she’s tired of appearing weak. She’s developed social anxiety due to the harsh environment of her new school and how she’s treated, it’s caused her to close herself off to others and rarely speak. Most of the time she has a blank stare casted downwards with tears threatening to fall. When you get to know her she can become more open about herself and people learn how kind she is, yet she still rarely smiles, but she can crack a few jokes. Many people who actually know her well always say she’s hilarious and she’s very loyal to those she cares for. Sadly, she’s almost forgotten what it feels like to laugh… the harsh things said to her on a daily basis, seem to become true in her mind, and she’s starting to see them. Yun-Hye only ever sees her flaws and never the good sides of her which causes her to put herself down when she can. The only time she ever feels good is when she’s doing school work or receiving her good grades.
Because of her anxiety she has courage because she has to get out bed each day and not give up. She forces herself to have self-control so she can only think about the present and doing what she needs to get done; but it doesn’t stop her from having hope. She wants to believe that things will brighten up any day. Yun-Hye wants this, but it doesn’t stop her loosening grip on reality and her life, feeling like she has no control- which is why she can be very forgetful about only her own health. Anything else she stays on top of, like school work and jobs, but eating wouldn’t be something she’d value. She does value life in ways; how mysterious it can be, and she tries to cherish any moment of happiness and beauty she encounters.

Background: Yun-Hye spent her whole life growing up with her grandma and mom, who worked hard to raise her the best they could. Her father left before she was born but the family doesn’t talk about it much, or let it inhibit them. As she got older, she chose to work part time jobs where she could get them even if she didn't really need to. She didn’t like seeing her mom and grandma have to work and yet they still never had a lot of money… before she was accepted into Yanghwa High School, she was accepted easily amongst her peers and had a few close friends she could rely on.
