Why do you want to become a mod?: I have had problems with players breaking rules before, i know how to look after a server and i am good at sorting stuff out. i recently dealt with problems on JC2 with people breaking rule #1 : Only english in global chat. i asked them to please change there course of action and so they did i know how to deal punishment with little force. The fact about having me in moderator for JC2 NGM is i am always active and trustworthy i have had a lot of time playing the game and i can tell the difference between players in a flash. I am active on forums aswell and i hope to recieve perks soon.

  93. I think what Phil meant to say is that we don't need more idle staff that never come on to moderate the server. While he/she may not have the best attitude and is overly confident that they will get the part, I don't see harm in giving at least a trial to them. After all, if they are highly active on the server, it's an added bonus. We're not at our lowest point in terms of active players, so I doubt this should come as much of an issue.

  102. I'm going to state my reasons below:
  103. 1. She's been really active recently
  104. 2. She's been in contact with me on a few occasions about stuff going on in the server
  105. 3. We don't have enough staff that are on regularly
  106. 4. It's trial mod, we get rid of her if she's useless
  107. 5. If there's someone on regularly with authority, it encourages player interaction, and returning players
  108. 6. We've had growing player counts recently
  109.  
  110. Most importantly:
  111. 7. I'm getting a little fed up with this bureaucracy, it does no harm to put this person on mod and then revoke it. The problem with waiting for weeks and weeks is that they eventually lose interest (which you can probably tell has happened to a few people on here), and the only result is low playercounts.

  113. In intend to put this person on trial mod because I don't want to see the server fail, simple as.

  121. Precisely, mod title can be revoked as easily as it is given out. If this player gives up after a month, no harm done, the title is taken away.

  123. EDIT: The thing which I've tried to explain to Phil, is that if we lose this person who is obviously keen, then they'll just move on to another server or give up the game entirely.

  139. Well from what I've seen I'd say no and I do agree with Phil that we want a bigger playerbase with REGULAR people before we start recruiting more people. We need to find a healthy balance between staff in players, but admin > dev so go ahead with you you think then cap.

  160. We have Vigh and Skyedra as JC2MP Mods and adding a 3rd is not a issue.

  266. That may very well be the case for other games, but unfortunately not JC2MP. The real issue is the lack of people who are actually willing to moderate, let alone stick around for a few months. That's the problem with a dying game, I'm afraid you can't be choosy with staff as eventually, there won't be anyone willing to do it.

  277. And Capn is right, JC2MP is a dying game and if someone really wants to moderate a dying game, then I am going to let them as long as they can prove their worth.

Just her general attitude and the inability to read threads like the April Fools' thread, double posting and claiming that other mods want to come back (Sidenote: If Nav wants to come back...well, there is no question, I would be happy to have him back) then I don't think that she would be good as a mod.

  410. On top of all of this, I've noticed that she tends to overuse her trial moderator powers. Muting anyone who simply annoys her rather than trying to tolerate, killing and using /killcar remotely to anyone that bothers her. Alpha can back me on this one.

  556. I understand the demotion, but I would call out that the ban the jc2 server at the very least is unreasonable. Yes, she lashed out at multiple staff members after her demotion, but does this really violate 2.3 to the point where its a permban? I spoke with her, and she said she would continue to play on the server as a regular player (Something that essentially no other ex-staff does).

  575. If she wants unbanned I'd say it would have to be done the formal way in an unban appeal. We need to be consistent as it would not be exactly fair to unban someone just like that when other people don't have the same chance. Therefore being unfair so let her right an unban appeal and for staff to come to the conclusion.

  630. I will admit, it was a bit harsh and I should stick to the penalty that I have put down on that rule (which is a warning +1) instead of a ban.
