Some day, if I become a singer that can fly about the world, do you think we could visit there? I want to see it with my own eyes... Surely, we'll make that dream come true.

Lately, I've tried listening to my favorite songs on orgel. There's a building dedicated to them, and you're able to listen to whichever songs you like on them.

I was given a bouquet from a fan recently. It was simple, with only Baby's-Breath in it... I think it fits my image.

I like these kind of quiet flowers from this wonderful bouquet too. I think a life with flowers in it really calms you down. I'll place them in my room in a way that they won't wilt quickly.

I saw on TV that it seems like in our generation there are many people who have nothing to be devoted towards. I might be happy about that point. I can clearly see the road called singing...

However, when I change my way of thinking, I only have songs... I don't have anything but that. I don't have any friends or enjoyable hobbies like others naturally do in my generation...

Recently, I happened to pass by the neighborhood choir practicing in the park. It was the first time I heard a hymn in person. The harmony was amazing.

I'm self studying opera vocalization. There's parts that are found in Pop too, I have to reference a lot. I want to learn accurately with a teacher eventually, but there's a lot of opera CDs released and I lack the subject matter.

However there's pretty high notes too, so practicing in my house might bother the neighbors as high noises are heard more...

Earlier on the way from leaving the office I reunited with an unexpected person. It was a girl who was the runner up from a music contest I had won.

Right now she's aiming to be a pro children's singer, and is learning from a composer as an understudy. She seemed happy when she learned that I was advancing as a singer too.

Since we're both on this road we may meet again somewhere. She's also doing her best. I need to work even harder than before. So that if I meet her again I won't be embarrassed.

I can't think of anyone but you when thinking of who I can talk to about this kind of thing. I'm sorry for the sudden email.

Something nice happened to me earlier. My music teacher at school gave me a fruit they picked from their garden.

It's called a "kumquat", I think it looks like a really small mandarin. It seems you're able to eat the skin. How odd.

If you boil it in sugar and eat it then it's good for your throat... It seems my teacher learned that from their mother. I think it might just be a folk remedy, but my teacher remembered that I should take care of my throat. I'm happy about that, I haven't eaten the kumquat yet.

However, since they did me such a favor, should I eat it? I think that might be a waste.

Do you know about Sirens that appear in Greek myth? They're sea fairies that have very beautiful singing voices, and they have sailors listen to their songs.

It seems those that hear that song start wanting to come to the siren, and they throw their bodies into the sea and die.

On the way home I went to a musical instrument store and ended up leaving late.

When looking at the town's neon I suddenly thought, which is prettier, neon or stars?

Until now I liked stars more. Rather than seeing the glowing neon in the middle of the messy city, I felt like the stars in the clear sky shined more clearly.

If the stars' beauty was a song, then it'd be like "the birds and bugs sing inside a forest's trees rustling in the wind". I think it's beauty is in a perfect symphony made by nature.

Compared to that, neon is something made by man. They're kind of cheap compared to the stars... But in the background you can see human's life. You can see people eagerly living.

If that was a song, then I think it'd be a man made song, it's not perfect, but it's a song made for people to listen to.

Which do you think would move people's hearts more? Which has more beauty? Stars? or Neon?

I read an interview of a famous singer in a magazine. It seems that they would sleep in the bathtub to keep the humidity in their throat.

...It's true that dryness is the worst threat to the throat, but to go to the extent of sleeping in the bathtub... I was surprised. You could catch a cold if the water cools, and your face could go under and drown you if you fell into a deep sleep. I wonder how you'd be able to control that...?

I'm distressed about various things, but maybe I should just say it's all for the sake of their throat. I don't think I'll be able to imitate them, but I do feel that a pro should have the willingness to do anything to have the best conditions.

Maybe it'd be better if I carried a humidifier to prevent dryness? I think I want to consider this for a bit.

About 2~3 days ago, a stray dog wandered onto the apartment house's premises. It seems the children in the neighborhood were secretly caring for it, but today I happened to overhear the children's parents having a discussion.

They said that they'd take the dog to a health care center while the children were at school... Then it'd be fine to tell the children that the dog must have left to go somewhere.

After hearing that, I couldn't bear it. If I say it can't be helped, who knows how sad the children will be... I think that no matter how much the adults try to hide it, they'll certainly find out the truth.

...I don't know if I'll be able to find one or not, but I want to try searching for a dog owner. I'm sorry writing so much about a personal matter. I think you should forget about it.

今日のサマフェスオーディション、合格できて、ホッとしています。大きな番組ですから、挑戦者の気持ちで…、とは思っていたのですが、プロデューサーが期待して下さっているのも、わかっていたので、いつものオーディションにも増して、合格したい、という気持ちが、強かったんです。

レッスンや営業で、私を一生懸命指導して下さっているプロデューサーに、合格をプレゼントすることで、少しでもご恩返しできたら…、と思っていました。これまで受けた恩に対して、あまりにも小さな恩返しではありますが、喜んでいただけたでしょう？

アイマスＧＰのような、大きな番組に、デビュー１年目の私が出演できるなんて、信じられないような思いです。

107 Title: Idol graduation live

It's Chihaya.

A few days ago I got 1 ticket for an idol's live so I went for studying purposes. (If I had 2 tickets I would have invited you... I'm sorry)

They weren't that famous of an idol, but I expected it to be a "graduation live".

I think talking for so long was a waste of time. It really was horrible.

As someone also working as an idol, I felt pity for the fans to an almost embarrassing degree. I hope they don't hate songs after seeing that kind of live...

I strongly felt that I wanted to sing a song that wouldn't disappoint those fans. To be able to do so I'd like another lesson please.

When it's convenient for you please come to the office and give me a lesson. I'll be counting on you.

It's Chihaya.

Earlier, I finished reading a certain musician's biography. While being a musician he lost his hearing. Despite that he continued to passionately compose until on his death bed.

When I read that book I felt ashamed of myself right now. 私は彼ほどの努力をしたことがあっただろうか、まだできるはずの努力を、労力を惜しんでやっていないのではないだろうか、って。

このところ、レッスンが滞りがちですけど、レッスンがないなら、それを自分からお願いするぐらいの積極性がなくて、何がプロだろう、って。

このところ、時間的に余裕があるのですが、もし、プロデューサーが私のことを気づかって、仕事をセーブして下さっているのだとしたら、せっかくですが、そのお気づかいは無用です。もっとスケジュールを埋めて下さる方が、逆にありがたいです。


歌い手を目指そうと決めた、その時から、私の時間の全てが歌のために使われるであろうことは、当然、覚悟していましたから。

プロデューサーと共にアイドルとしての活動を始めて、少し時がたちましたが、アイドルというのは、こんなものなのでしょうか？

つまり、今ぐらいヒマがある状態が普通なのでしょうか、という意味ですが…。

私はもっと、違うことを予想していました。毎日、忙しい中でも、歌に触れていられる…、そんな職業なのかと…。

この頃、レッスンが途絶えがちなので、無為な日々を過ごしています。今日、久しぶりに仕事をしてみて、やはり、一人で行う自主トレでは、限界があると痛感しました。

プロデューサーには、何かお考えがあってのことなのかもしれませんが、残念ながら、私には、それを読み取ることができません。

もちろん、自主トレは欠かさず行っていますが、先にも書いたとおり、一人でのトレーニングは、限界があるのみならず、それだけに明け暮れる日々を、時間の浪費のようにすら感じてしまうのです…。

プロデューサーの的確な指導があってこそ、トップアイドルへの道も開けるのではないかと。

Today was the first job in awhile, lately there's been a lot of days off. Normally a day off should make my heart feel at ease, but I become anxious.

千早です。こんばんは、プロデューサー。

最近、あまり、事務所にいらっしゃいませんね。今日は、少し久しぶりだった気がします。

先日、プロデューサーが、いらっしゃらなかった時、社長に様子を聞いてみたところ、
「如月くんは、才能があるから、彼も余裕でノンビリしてるんじゃないかね？ハハハハ！」
なんて、おっしゃっていましたが…。もしそれが本当だとしたら、生意気を言うようですが、それは非常に危険な考え方です。

才能を認めていただけるのは嬉しいですが、私程度の才能を持つ者など、世の中には、たくさんいるのかもしれません。

たとえ、才能で私に劣る人ばかりだったとしても、プロデューサーや私がこうしてのん気にしている間に、彼らが着実に努力を重ねていたとしたら…？

ちょっとした才能の差など、瞬く間に、無に帰してしまいます。継続的な努力に勝る才能など、あり得ないのですから。…そう思われませんか？

I intended to tell you directly today, but you seemed too much like the same as usual so I wasn't able to say anything. However, I don't think I'll be able to keep doing it so I'm sending an email instead.

Producer, I can't continue going on like this. When I had no lessons I always trusted you and waited... Then we finally had work today...

However I'm anxious working at a slow pace like this. At this rate I'll just be spending time idly. If you don't want to work with me anymore I'll also think about going down a new path. Although, honestly, I'm not sure I'd be able to with a different Producer...

It might be selfish of me but, could you please schedule our next work together sooner? If I'm able to speed up the pace of work a bit then I'll be relieved.
