  1. Today I once again set out to wander, thanks to additional adventurers showing up I can now wander much more freely. I feel like a bird let out of it's cage.
  2.
  3. The wandering had a goal, call it a mission. We were to save Johnson's granddaughter, who had been kidnapped by goblins.
  4. Theese adventurers had taken this task upon themselves, I eagerly offered my help and joined their company with no questions asked.
  5. We talked to Johnson who lives outside the walls of the city. The goblins had only taken his granddaughter.
  6. I assured him we would be on it right away, promising to return upon any news being uncovered.
  7. We set out towards the east, having heard that a band of goblins had made camp there.
  8. A while into our travels, Felwin, a gnome from our group broke the monotonous sound of boots and started conversations with almost
  9. everyone on our way there, having his bird Robin acting as a ice breaker. I think he made notes of us, at the time i was curious as to why, but looking back it makes sense.
  10. A boy of his age might not have seen Tabaxi, halfnaked Dwarves or Teiflings before and it likely explains why he avoided talking to the latter.
  11. Then again, I ask myself what is this boy doing out here risking his life, as it's just begun. I'll further investigate, if it's The Wanderer's will.
  12. We continued our journey for quite a few hours before stopping infront of a huge bird dropping, just seeing it sent shivers down my spine.
  13. As we keep walking Felwin suddenly screams out "SHIT.. It's fine, it's fine" somehow he has a connection to his bird and has relayed information to him.
  14. He tells us theres a huge eagle fighting off two goblins that had seemingly aggrivated it. Katherine almost melded into the rocky plains and proceeded to flank it, trying to scout ahead so we
  15. don't run into an army. Shortly thereafter we decided to join the battle, having weighed our options and made sure what was ahead.
  16. This is where Felwin just ran ahead of the rest of us, it is also the moment i realised he needs me more than anyone else.
  17.
  18. The others made quick work of the Eagle and Sun pounced on the goblin in the blink of an eye. I dont how something of that size can move at such a pace. It was frightening.
  19. We made it out unscathed. But Felwin fearlessly got into danger by the Eagle's claws and beak by his own volition. His magic is extremely potent,
  20. but he needs more life experience, more... sensibility.
  21. I will continue to do what i can so that he can have a chance to walk the path. Perhaps it's the same as my own.
  22.
  23. We interrogated the goblin and found out where their camp was. Nothing specific on the girl, but he did ask "which girl, there has been so many lately".
  24. We slew him after i judged he was telling the truth, never before have i seen such fear.
  25.
  26. A while thereafter we found their cave, We ventured in as stealthily as we could, we saw four gobins around a campfire. Felwin with his smaller body and keen eyes found a secret tunnel that led behind the goblin campfire,
  27. We agreed that we could all charge in upon hearing them engage, Sun quickly squeezed in there and was soon on the other end with Felwin.
  28. I stared into the dark ahead of me, knowing not where anyone is, besides Gazar, the barbarian behind me. Suddenly flames spark across the campfire and the goblins scream in agony
  29. as two of them collapse smoldering like charcoal. They fought on valiantly and by the time i arrived, most of the goblins were dead. Sun had been shot with an arrow in the ensuing chaos,
  30. with our Lords help i quickly healed him. Just as things were brightening up we were ambushed by two more goblins and a bugbear. Felwin was shot from the shadows and became gravely injured, he reacted by exploding their heads.
  31. I had seen this out in the feild earlier, with the goblin we captured. Back then i shook it off as a goblin thing, maybe his head was soft, that sort of thing.
  32.
  33. After having cleared up the remaining forces and spent what powers I had healing Felwin, we scouted out the caves, found some scrolls which Felwin took for studying.
  34. We also found a altar, covered in black ichor. Ontop was a girl with her chest carved open, dead since a few days. Most likely another farmers daughther...
  35. Having studied the altar and the surrounding room, we found strange runes and a mysterious breeze comming from the wall behind the altar.
  36. As Gazar tries breaking down the wall we study the runes, while we can't translate them perfectly we make out that this cave is used by some "nightly order" who built this shrine for sacrifice so that their mages could use it.
  37. The order seems to fight against some form of creatures.
  38.
  39. As we were done Gazar shook his head, the wall stood intact.
  40.
  41. Seeing as dawn was setting we agreed to head back home, Collecting what we could from the goblins before doing so, meanwhile Katherine picked the poor girl up and carried her over, ready to leave.
  42. Our travels back were eventless, there was triumph in the air, but at the same time a feeling of loss. We were comming home without Johnson's granddaughter.
