  1. Uninspired because they didn't have anything new or urgent to say. If anything, they diluted their own message with their childish portrayal of Disney and Hollywood.

  3. China's impact on the West is much more insidious than this episode suggests. There was no mention of universities courting the nouveau riche, and giving them degrees, despite those Chinese students being rampant cheaters and often having no English skills. There was no mention of our governments kowtowing to authoritarians to avoid losing a lucrative economic partner (remember when Trump called Xi a "brilliant leader"?). There was no mention of Taiwan, Tibet, or Hong Kong. No mention of China attempting to extend its soft power over all of Asia, or of effectively buying Africa.

  5. No... to take this episode's thesis at its face, the worst China does is whitewash the homosexuality out of Bohemian Rhapsody. Which, you know, is worth criticizing... but maybe there are bigger targets than Hollywood.
