Hong Kong Statement Request - Journalists / Newspapers

I am [INSERT NAME] and I am contacting you in response to your recent article on current events in Hong Kong, specifically in regards to the siege of PolyU HK and previous siege of CUHK. I am a member of a group consisting of US students who are passionate about supporting Hong Kong and it's people. We created the group as we want to help protect the freedoms of both citizens of Hong Kong, as well as Americans and other non-natives who are currently in Hong Kong.

Our group has made a joint statement, with contributors and signants from over 50 colleges / universities in America. This statement condemns the recent actions of the Hong Kong Police Force, besieging those in Polytechnic University of Hong Kong (PolyU) and disallowing those trapped inside to safely leave.

The purpose of the Joint-Statement is to exert pressure on Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, Carrie Lam, and the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF), to call off violent crackdowns on pro-democracy protesters, and answer the remaining four demands put forth by the protesters.

Attached is the joint statement, I would appreciate if you would make an article in response to the document I am sending because I  appreciate the enthusiasm and journalistic integrity that you have shown in your past work.
