  1. Squidward wanders outside, just in time for a young fish to be biking by. “122 Conch Street” Mutters the fish absentmindedly as she chucks the newspaper. As fate would have it, the newspaper strikes the resident in the head “Hey watch where yo-. Actually, why do I bother.” Squidward says solemnly, taking the newspaper inside. “Ah the news, almost as depressing as the life I lead.” He announces with a frown as he open to a random page. “Wild Sea bear wanders Bikini Bottom, yet to be caught.” Reads the first article he sees. Squidward inwardly shudders at the flashbacks evoked by the words. Turning the page he gets to the job listings. With a sigh he imagines how great life would be if he didn’t have to work with the absorbent nuisance next door. Scanning through he sees a name he recognizes. “Fancy!” The main formal diner in all of Bikini Bottom. It seems they needed a dishwasher. He could imagine himself rising through the ranks. Eventually rivaling his rival, Squilliam. Head chef, Owner, CEO, it was all open to him. Quickly he reads the job listing. “Sophisticated, hard worker needed” Sounded like him alright! He rushes outside and gets in his boat. He then takes a closer look. He’d been using this boat for years.. It was worn in places, even starting to rust in places. The cons of living in the ocean. He should probably take his bike this time.. Riding along he makes it to the restaurant. “You look quite dashing in your tuxedo, Squiddy. They are bound to hire you” He thinks to himself. Making his way into the restaurant he walks up to the maitre d. “I must inquire from you the whereabouts of the applications.” He says with his best fluid fancy accent. “Here you are, Sir.” Replies the fish, handing him a sheet of paper. Taking the rest of his day off, he fills it out to the best of his ability. Submitting it right before the restaurant closed. The next morning comes. Walking to the kitchen, he hears the phone ring. Rushing to answer he sees it’s the restaurant. “That was fast” He thinks. His smile grows as they tell of how they read his application and he must come in for an interview soon. He would go straight after work. He couldn’t wait for the moment he would tell his boss he was leaving, for good this time. He takes his post, a smile on his face. Mr. Krabs, walking by sniffing his money, sees the unusual expression. “Mr. Squidward, what’s wrong with your face?” He remarks seriously. To which squidward gives a quick chuckle. “Good one Mr. Krabs!” He says happily. The creeped out Mr. Krabs then backs away slowly to his office. (Time Card: 8 hours later) Taking off his krusty krab hat, Squidward makes his way home to change. He then promptly goes to the restaurant. (Time card: the next day.) “I’m quitting Mr. Krabs.” Squidward says in a sing song fashion. “I don’t have time for your pretend games Squidward, time is money and if you’s wasti-” Squidward’s smile doesn't falter with the words. Which convinces Mr. Krabs. “Very well then..” Replies Krabs, as he puts up a help wanted poster. “I give it a week” He mutters, inspecting the octopus's odd behavior. (clips of squidward doing his job with a smile, then Time Card; 2 weeks later) Spongebob slowly peeks up to the window separating the dining area to the kitchen. “Mr. Krabs.. This doesn’t feel right.” He says shakily. “Aye lad, though I’m sure squidward will return soon.. He needs us” He says, giving a customer their change and shedding tears soon after. (meanwhile) “♪Scrub scrub♪” Sings squidward while washing the dishes. (scene pans back to someone entering the Krusty krab.) “I’d like a job!” Says the fish happily. Mr krabs and Spongebob look at each other skeptically. “Whatever ends this torture” Mr Krabs says, handing another customer a dollar. “You’re hired.” He says, placing the KK hate upon the fish’s head. “Order up..” Says Spongebob sadly, placing some krabby patties in the window. The new employee takes the patties and gives them to the customer. “Ooooh this place is all I thought it would be and more!” She exclaims excitedly. “
