  1. Are You With God?
  2. By Dela Cruz, Kevin
  3.
  4. Have you ever felt, like you’re the most unlucky person in the world? That you’re the most hated? That you’re the biggest failure? That you’re the one, who seems to have the biggest problems? Well, let me ask you this. Are you with God? Because in this new age of people, new age of food, new age of technology, new age of everything, we also seemed to have reached the point to have a new age of God. In the biblical times, people have stumbled and sometimes failed their relationship with God, and yet they always find a way to go back to him. But in our new age, God is no longer the place for people to run back to. From the times we danced and cherished God and his work, we are now drowned with the atrocious and defective sorry excuse of a society we call today. From the times we used to crash and fall and go back to God, we now go to our friends and escape reality with things like smoke, drink, drugs and more. In these times, I used to wonder, has God abandoned us by now? Are we all alone? Because the stretch of our sins have become so long I felt that God is tired and sick of us. But, let’s go back to our first questions.

  6. Have you ever felt, like you’re the most unlucky person in the world? Cheer up, because you’re not. God has given you challenges and obstacles in life because he knows you, yes you, can conquer it. Not your friend, not your school mate, but you. Feeling like the most hated? No. You are the most loved. Why? Because God loves you and he will always love you. No matter how much you drift, nor how much you fall, he will always love you and his love will forevermore be the greatest. Feeling like you’ve committed mistakes that make you the biggest failure? You’re not a failure, you are a winner. God knows and sees the lessons you’ve picked upon from the beckoning of your trials. Feel like you have the biggest problems? You don’t. God didn’t give you the biggest problems, he gave you the biggest trials. To change you, to evolve you, to transform you to a new and better you. But the last question still remains, are you with God?

  8. Some of you might think, since “he loves me that much I guess I could just mess around now”, right? But no, you shouldn’t look at the situation that way. Taking advantage of someone’s love, more importantly God’s love, is the most absurd and selfish idea. Imagine the one person that loves you the most, would you want to abandon them and not give love back? As Moses asserted in Deuteronomy 7:9-10, Jesus “keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,” but he “repays to their face those who hate him, by destroying them”. God loves you, but he is not afraid to punish you for you to learn. Love God with your passions, hungers and perceptions and thoughts and you will live a life greater than you’ve ever experienced before.

  10. But Kevin, you ask, I love God right now but why am I still hurting? Why am I still suffering? Why is God doing such horrendous events to my life? Let me ask you this then, if you are truly with God, where is your faith? Why are you questioning him? Being with God doesn’t mean you’ll erase every hardship there is in this world. Being with God means releasing yourself from your one and only enemy, yourself. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 it says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here”. You see, the old you is the only enemy. Satan, he’s just there, he does what he does. But you are the one giving in, you are the one accepting the cravings of Lucifer. The old you is the enemy, be a better you. Don’t be that guy anymore who smokes and drinks because his friends do, don’t be that person who sins to impress, be that person who loves God because it’s what’s best.

  12. Come back to God, stay with God. With our new age, we shouldn’t blind ourselves by what is fun and what is trendy. For as God stayed as is, from the moment Adam, the first human being was made, to now. He loved you then and he loves you now. It’s not too late to change your spinning wheel. Drop the hatred, drop the lies, drop everything you’ve been bottling up inside. It’s time to reach out your hand, take others with you, time to take a stand. God will transform you, God will inflict change. God will make you better day by day. So it’s time to choose, are you choosing to be with God? Or are you going to stay there? Until you rot?
