I've told this story before on my Discord, but I guess now it's shareable?

I wanted Counterpoint in the name because I like and admire that style of music. Also, it kinda describes what I do - in super-meta speak, I take something that exists and add another layer of meaningful whatever to it. Like commentary on games - both the game and the commentary together make something beautiful, but they each work alone, too. But just Counterpoint alone seemed weird as a name, so I went through a list of C words looking for a good fit. :P I got stuck on clover because I thought, hey that sounds cool, and I can do a lot of cool clover designs with it, and it helps with nicknameability. And later on, I realized how ironic it was to name myself after a symbol of luck, considering how things usually go for me, so now the name even contains my snark, directed at myself. :P

In other words, I put careful design into this name because I wanted to be happy with the name for a long time. So far, I am. :)
