- Airport and general transportation: Uber. Never take random cabs in the street. Don't accept the water or candy they offer.
- At public places: keep an eye on your stuff all the time. Many non-violent pick-pocketers.
- Always carry cash.
- Tips= 10% expected, but it can be more
- Subway: very efficient (no schedule though) at no-rush hours (after 10 am/ 4 pm). - / You can buy a ticket for 5 pesos (less than a dollar), and that same ticket takes you anywhere. Metrobus: you need a card that you can get in most stations.
- In the unlikely case that you get mugged (it's a very big and crowded city after all), just give them your stuff. Don't try to fight or negotiate.
- No burritos in Mexico City (lol) :(
