YUNA x LINK
FLUFF FIC

Link had just finished his daily strolls of going into people’s houses and breaking their furniture for rupees when he got home. As soon as he entered, he saw his waifu Yuna looking outside her window and laughing in the most awkwardly possible way ever. He shrugged it off and walked towards her. She hadn’t noticed him yet, until he put his arms around her waist and started kissing her neck.
“Hey dear” he said “How’s my favourite person in the whole world doing today?”
“Heheh. I’m alright. I was just trying to pass the time, waiting for you” She said as she giggled.
He started rubbing her belly as he kissed his way down to her back, then turned her towards him and put his ear on his belly.
“And how’s my favourite future unborn son doing?”
“We don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet, silly” she announced.
“Aw that’s not true. If my blood runs inside of him, then he’ll surely be a boy! Since its beginning, my family has only had boys.”
She laughed. “Well, we’ll see I guess”
He gently swept her off her feet and carried her to the living room
“Careful now” he whispered to her ear.
“Oh Link, you’re such a romantic”

He slowly put her on the couch and started cuddling her.
“I honestly don’t know what I would do without you, Yuna.”
“Same here dear, same here”
 He was holding her in her arms as they watched TV, the occasional kiss or two on the neck, cheek or forehead. Their favourite TV show was on, a reality show called Life in Hyrule. It wasn’t the best show ever, but it featured townspeople talking about this green clothed elf going into people’s houses and destroying their stuff. It wasn’t pretty, but it sure gave Yuna and Link some great entertainment.
When suddenly, the TV Show was cut off and the news came on.
“People of Hyrule, breaking news. Ganon has once again kidnapped the young Princess named Zelda and is attempting to take the Tri-Force of power once more. Who will stop this madness? Who will save us all?”
At that moment, Link and Yuna stopped kissing, and just stared at the television screen which showed the news anchor rambling on and on, but they couldn’t hear it. It was as if they had gone deaf.  Link jumped off the couch and took his sword and shield.
 As he was about to leave, Yuna got up and said “Do you really have to go? Can’t someone else do it?”
“I’m sorry Yuna, I really am. No one else can save Hyrule. Only I can do it”
She insisted “But I need you here. I can’t do this without you. What about our child? What about that huh?”
“...If I don’t save Hyrule, there will be no future for our child” he affirmed.
“I’m starting to think you only do it to save that Zelda girl.”
“Now you know that’s not true” his voice started to get higher “That woman means nothing to me. I only save her because she’s the princess, nothing more.”
They stared at each other for a few moments, until she suddenly swung her arms around his neck, held him tightly and gave him the longest kiss. It’s the anticipation of the kiss that Link always enjoyed. He knew it was bound to happen, and he liked it when he could guess, and anticipate it. The kiss lasted for a few minutes, until Link gently pushed her off of him.
“I’m sorry...” he said as he walked out of the house.

As he closed the door behind him, he suddenly heard that same laugh. The same laugh he hears every time he leaves home. The same laugh Yuna does when he’s not around her, and he understood why. He has thought about it before, but he didn’t want to confirm it, because it just breaks his heart thinking about it. The thing is, Yuna does that laugh as a way to distract her, because she can’t cope with the torment of not having Link around. She can’t live on without him. And so, this is what she does, all the time. Right until the moment where she tires herself out, or when her lover finally comes back home from his long adventure.
