PERSONALITY ::
▹ she can’t go very long without cracking a joke, and while some of her jokes border on inappropriate or offensive, she’s always a reliable source for lightening the mood.
▹ she’s friendly; most people enjoy her company, and she has no problem making friends since she’s never been shy. she’s not particularly sweet, though - she makes too many petty jabs for that.
▹ her bravery and boldness can turn to outright recklessness in battle, which sometimes can be a problem. because the mission is always her first priority, she tends to compromise not just her own safety but also that of the other agents in order to get the job done.
▹ affection is welcome, although she’ll seldom dole it out. she rarely shies away from it and she doesn’t mind hugs, and yet the last person she said “i love you” to was her late mother. that doesn’t stop her from building strong friendships, though.
▹ she’s awful at dealing with guilt. when she knows she’s upset or hurt someone, whether by accident or on purpose, she defaults to apologizing over and over again just to hear that it’s not her fault.

BACKGROUND ::
▹ yingyue’s biological parents, not wanting her to grow up in communist north korea, gave her to a nonhuman couple – dentists jiang mei and liu jing – in taiwan, who ended up being great parents. jing, who was practically an encyclopedia on legs, was often absent and far from lenient with rules; mei, on the other hand, was kind and much easier to talk to, and yingyue was very close with her. upon mei’s death, yingyue grew still further apart from jing but did not leave home until she flunked out of college and chose to join the association.

WHY DID SHE JOIN THE ASSOCIATION ::
▹ jing wanted her to be a dentist and take over the family business, but she had no interest in studying anything to do with medicine; still, though, she had no idea what she wanted to do, and she simply did not have the intellectual capacity for most other things that interested her. yingyue joined the association out of curiosity and lack of interest in everything else, but she hasn’t looked back since, and she stays for the thrill.

METHOD OF COMBAT ::
▹ she prefers to fight with knives or swords, to which her agility is a considerable advantage. she almost always attacks from behind, and she prefers to leave her opponents for dead rather than finishing the job on the spot and watching them die.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ::
▹ because of the rumors about dowoon, she‘s convinced that he’s all bark and no bite until she meets him for the first time and realizes he’s actually really quiet and shy, which confuses her a little. she can’t deny that he’s cute, though, and it doesn’t take her very long to warm up to him.

▹ chronos: yingyue is a little wary of her, since she’s not one of them, so she doesn’t joke much with her. their interactions are few, far between, and a bit awkward.
▹ ignosi: yingyue is most cheerful and affectionate around her. ignosi always laughs at her jokes but also keeps her mischievous side in check, so yingyue is protective of her although she’ll never admit it.
▹ exousia: yingyue teases her a lot for being a pretty girl, but she knows not to mess around with her on missions. exousia doesn’t seem to like her much, so yingyue is scared to get on her bad side and therefore tends to stay a safe distance away when she teases.
▹ dynami: - dynami: yingyue makes more jokes with dynami than about her because of her infamous temper. she’s extremely fond of her, though, because she knows how sweet she can be, so they’re good friends.
▹ jae: they get along great because of the overlap in humor. she’s extremely comfortable with him and tends to joke around with him the most out of all of the guys.
▹ sungjin: - sungjin: she teases him for being so perfect, which others sometimes misinterpret as flirting. despite her jokes, she looks up to him a great deal, just like everyone else does. while they’re not close, she’s extremely friendly with him.
▹ younghyun: she knows not to mess with him, and they’re civil but don’t talk much. behind his back, though, she has no problem with cracking jokes about him.
▹ wonpil: she teases him for being such a genius, but secretly she envies him for his intelligence. she would never let it show, though.
▹ other people: yingyue jokes around with almost everyone, unless they’re widely respected or widely feared. she’s friendly and a well-known face within the association, although there are certainly people who dislike her for not being as serious as they think she should be as an agent.
