  3. _Personal information_
  4. - What is your name?
  5. My name is Jeremy Bader.
  6. - How old are you?
  7. I’m 27 years old.
  8. - Where are you from? Where are you living right now?
  9. I’m from Boston, MA originally. I moved to Austin, TX two and half years ago.
  10. - How many languages can you speak?
  11. I only speak English.
  12. - What have you studied?
  13. Professionally, I have studied programming for several years now, and I was a computer science major in college. Recreationally, I also study chess and poker pretty religiously.
  14. - What is your current profession?
  15. I am a freelance mobile and web developer, and an aspiring entrepreneur. I work for plug.dj as a full-stack developer and NativeInk as a native iOS mobile developer.
  16. - What are the things you like the most? What are your hobbies?
  17. I love solving puzzles and challenging myself. My favorite hobbies are chess, poker, golf, and tennis.
  18. _Plug information_
  19. *Past*
  20. - When did you first discover plug?
  21. I discovered plug way back in 2013. Previously, I was a long time user of Turntable.fm, and when they went under, my friends and I all migrated to plug.
  22. - How did you find out about plug?
  23. When Turntable went under, my friends and I were all searching for a replacement and the obvious choice was plug.
  24. - Where did you use to spend your time on plug? What rooms did you like?
  25. For a long time I spent time in a room named Chillout Mixer, a room focused on playing the dopest chillout, ambient, downtempo, trip hop, and deep house out there.
  26. - Did you remember old plug? Did you like it? Do you miss something about it?
  27. I sure did! I have always loved plug. Since discovering it, plug has always been my favorite outlet for music. I do miss many of my friends from Chillout Mixer who didn’t rejoin the site when plug came back.
  28. - When did you become an admin? Were you a Brand Ambassador before or a regular user?
  29. I became an admin in November of 2016 when I joined plug.dj’s staff as a full-stack developer. I was just a regular user before.
  30. *Present*
  31. - What is your favourite thing about plug?
  32. My favorite thing about plug is the fact that it is the most social music site I have ever stumbled upon. Still to this day, it blows my mind that I get the chance to connect with people all over the world over a shared love for music. I have made so many great friends, discovered so much amazing music, and have grown so much as a person.
  33. - What is your least favourite thing about plug? Where do you think it can improve?
  34. I would really like more surfacing on friends’ playlists like in Spotify. I’d like to see what awesome playlists my friends have curated and be able to add them to my own music library. From a more general standpoint, I think plug can do a lot more to provide premium features to bolster a robust subscription model. Good thing I’m a developer on the team and I can work on this stuff! ;)
  35. - Where do you like to spend your time? What are your favourite rooms?
  36. Since Chillout Mixer is longer around, my new favorite room is Chillout Music, and I’m also a fan of Trance House Chill and Psychillium. I’m looking forward to becoming a more active user in the near future in these rooms in particular.
  37. *Future*
  38. - How do you see plug in the future?
  39. I would love plug to be a household name and a leading product in the digital media space. Every time I tell people about plug they think it’s an awesome concept - I think it just needs more exposure and an amazing feature set that keeps people coming back for more.
  40. - What would you like it to be? In what direction do you want plug to be moving?
  41. I would love to see plug moving in the direction of becoming a platform where artists can get exposure and do shows for online crowds. The idea that a new artist could “blow up” and gain traction through plug sounds pretty awesome to me.
  42. - Do you have any personal goals or ideas for future projects that you would like to see?
  43. My personal goal is to make plug a leading product in the digital media space by developing awesome features, and collaborating with the team and userbase to make plug the best it can be!
  44. _Miscellaneous info_
  45. - What is the story behind your name?
  46. Being someone who always hangs out in chillout rooms, I wanted a name that fit my favorite genre and my personality. I’m a generally easy-going guy, so that seemed to fit. The handle is sort of a play on the expression “Terminally Ill”, so I thought it would be a funny name. It’s also the name of a Neon Indian song I like.
  47. - What is your avatar? Is there any reason that you got that avatar?
  48. I’m the robot dog. I’ve always just thought it’s really cute. It also has some great dance moves! ;)
