  1. Here's a list of the formats we'll be using during PAX for the sake of variety as well as using the right format for the right game. This was all based on the feedback we gathered during the "Are you still there?" VLOG regarding viewer preferences.
  2.
  3. 1) First impressions after the fact with B-reel footage. This will be used on games which do not allow footage to be captured but do allow hands-on time with the game. I will utilise available footage and provide my honest, first impression. This will be recorded in the hotel with no dev interference, for higher quality audio.
  4.
  5. 2) Developer interviews. These will be used primarily on AAA games. They will be on camera interviews with occasional game footage from B-reel where appropriate.
  6.
  7. 3) Developer dual-commentaries. These will be used on games where we feel they will be well received, with co-commentators that are interesting and speak clear English. We will make a judgment call on a game by game basis as to whether or not it is appropriate to use the dual-commentary format. If the dual-commentary ends up sucking, we will revert to 4.
  8.
  9. 4) Solo post-commentary. These will be used for the majority of titles when direct feed footage is available for capture. This will allow an honest impression of the title recorded in a more suitable, less noisy environment for higher quality results. The two strongest complaints regarding previous PAX coverage were...
  10.
  11. a) The viewers felt that I was unable to give an honest critique with a developer standing right next to me
  12. b) The viewers come to the channel to hear my thoughts, not the developers.
  13.
  14. Solo post-commentary will solve both of those problems while also providing a higher quality output. It will require additional work, which may slow video output but we feel it will give the viewers what they want and hopefully encourage them to watch our PAX coverage.
  15.
  16. 5) Content PAX. On camera round-ups covering news and developments during the show. Footage may be used where appropriate.
