I'm a little bit concerned with the lack of activity going on from you on the Helpdesk end for... well, quite some time. I'm reaching out to sort of figure out what exactly is going on! I know Eden spoke to you about it a few months ago, but it doesn't really seem like anything's really changed in regards to handling tickets on the regular, being present in Rocketchat, or even speaking up in the Helpdesk chat room on F-chat

  15. [17:02] [user]Caitlyn[/user]: Yeah, I had a feeling this'd be the topic. I know my contributions have been.. well, pretty much nil for a while. Combination of factors, the short version is.. Partly for a while the times I'd look in tickets and have one I could do would be infrequent, grab when I could but otherwise mostly push name request or deletion tickets to those queues and try again later. Mostly.. Real life affairs. Combination of busy with a work thing, emotional issues, holidays, worse emotional issues and a small breakdown.. more or less in that order. Been kind of a stressed mess, which doesn't excuse much but I'm more wanting to.. highlight what are at least contributing factors. I did a few the other day, and I'm in a less-awful spot emotionally now, so I'm intending to try and pick up doing.. well, literally any tickets since that would be an improvement.

I can understand real life issues and whatnot interfering, but it's a good point to stress that communication needs to be at the forefront! Eins, Eden, myself, all Helpdeskers need a break from time to time. It'd be good to give us a heads up about this kind of stuff on Rocketchat in the future, as that's where I primarily keep track of everyone!

  21. [17:09] [user]Caitlyn[/user]: That's fair; though Eins has been aware of my general state pretty much the whole way, I should've said something more openly. I did.. consider that I should a few times but got anxiety about it and.. Bleugh. Been kind of a mess.

Real life issues can come up from time to time and I do understand that. It happens with everyone. With issues like Obsidian recently falling into inactivity as well, I'm just not wanting it to look like we have a double standard just because Eden and Eins do happen to be pretty close to you, you know?

Being present and at least contributing to conversation and whatnot will at least show activity in some regard and we can make sure you're doing okay. Rocketchat is kind of pivotal for interstaff communication and whatnot and it's hard for me to do that if you're just informing Eden and Eins about things and not the whole team, you know? :V

I mostly meant it as a.. awareness thing, not a 'oh she's close she should totally vouch for me' she'd bite my fucking head off for that xD

  26. Yeah, I'll work to improve on that. Thanks for being patient and understanding too, I'm not trying to take the piss or anything. And yeah that's fine, I'll hang around more and try to poke my head in more often.
  27. [17:15] [user]Noah[/user]: It's really up to you on how you do want to proceed, at least! We really can go two separate ways: you can definitely jump into ROcketchat, handle tickets, have a more active presence, or we can also potentially look at providing you a similar thing that we provided to Obsidian: providing a temporary break from staff (with an open door to return at a time you feel more comfortable) so that you can tackle any RL issues that are kind of an "obstacle" per se.

[17:16] [user]Noah[/user]: Since if RL is stressing you out and causing a lot of emotional and psychological burden, it ain't really healthy to deal with those and also having to worry about being active on staff at the same time. It'd be best if you're in a good "headspace" so that inactivity doesn't flourish or anything like that!
  29. [17:18] [user]Caitlyn[/user]: I'm better at the moment than I was a month ago, but the current overall big picture has no estimated timeframe of getting better for me, so I just gotta make do. I'll improve on my contribution and presence to helpdesk, though if things get shitty again or take a downwards turn, could I bear in mind that that second option is avalable 'should I need it' for a temporary break at a later point? But for me to actually be... communicative about that instead of.. quiet.

I'll take that into mind and really, if you do feel that you need to take that second option, don't hesitate to reach out to me on Discord, Rocketchat, PMs, whatever. I don't want to sound intimidating or anything like that, but I do gotta keep in mind what's best for the whole team and all that, so it's why I'm approaching to begin with LOL.
