In the perspective of Social Engineering hostility can be useful to make multiple targets shy away from you if you are in a crowded area, faking a heated argument over cell phone while you walk to your destination will prevent the average person from questioning you. If you are angry, people are much less likely to stop and question you. In fact, people are much more likely to give you what you want when you are angry just to make you go away.

Uses include getting through security doors and getting locations for sensitive items such as server racks and routers.
